Recently I decided to revist my love for WWF Hasbro figure collecting and while i was browsing the net for who I buy first to restart my collection it got my thinking about how many WWF guys were well known enough to have a habro figure but didn't make the cut. Who do you all think should have had a hasbro figure but didnt end up with one? For me I would say : 1. The Hart Foundation ( seriously how was this never made ) 2. Haku 3. The Fabulous Rougeaus 4. Power and Glory 5. Dino Bravo 6. Hercules 7. The Barbarian 8. Diesel 9. Mabel 10. The Iron Sheik ( Col Mustafa ) How about you guys? What do you think? Who is missing?

always a good topic...and hasbro already did a good job at releasing figures of guys who werent around long... but im going to look at it like this...
I am going to assume the first hasbro figures were released Jan 1, 1990 and the last figures were released Dec 31, 1994 (obviously this is not the case, but just for my list)...and that production was completed about 2 months before release... so my time frame is going to be roughly from Survivor Series 1989 to Survivor Series 1994..
Biggest Wants / Should have been made --------------------------------------------------
Dino Bravo (was still very much involved for 1.5 years after the start of production) Bad News Brown (still around for 4 PPV's during hasbro production before leaving) Tugboat (pushed big time but never got the figure) Haku (pretty much a WWF staple from 1985 to 1992) Barbarian (wwf staple from 1987 to 1992) Tito Santana (as Chico Santana, before El Matador) Nikolai Volkoff (just plain red tights either heel or face) Brooklyn Brawler (cmon!) Jerry the King Lawler (big heel when he first came in) Bob Backlund (guy was around in the rumbles for a few years before coming back in late 1994 to win the title, so maybe a little late to the hasbro scene)
Tag Teams -------------------------------
Hart Foundation (tagged until WM7) Power and Glory (were together for over a year during this era but nothing) Beverly Brothers Men on a Mission with Oscar! Heavenly Bodies Quebecers (3 time tag team champions during their 1 year span and put over guys to gain the titles too)
Managers / Other ---------------------- Bobby Heenan Jimmy Hart Slick Virgil Elizabeth Sensational Sherri Brother Love Paul Bearer Mean Gene General Adnan Harvey Wippleman The Genius Mr. Fuji Jim Cornette Luna Vachon Referee

It's a wonder why they never made managers. I bet they would have sold well. Even as a kid I would have wanted managers

Even as a kid I would have wanted managers I think doing two packs of the managers with their top client would have been the best course of action. I wanted all the managers when I was a kid, but come to find out they got skipped over. The Hasbro line is the only WWF/E toy line I can recall (maybe Playmates being the lone exception) where there were no managers.

Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson were LONG gone before even Hasbro series 1. They left in November 1989. That wasn't that long before the Hasbro line launched and besides---look at the Series 1 lineup and the attires. Everyone looks to be based on early or mid 1989.

How AWESOME would a Brother Love playset have been? You KNOW that would've flown off the shelves!

I've never been too big of a fan of Hasbros, but it would've been neat if they made a referee, a couple managers too. Still, the only hypothetical Hasbro I'd buy would be Johnny Polo.

I think the reason for no managers may have been the fact that they didnt sell too well in the LJN line.. you always see the managers around MOC a lot and the managers were always the ones i saw mostly still on shelves in toy stores in 1992-1993..

None, really. The guys they did release figures of were more marketable than most of the suggestions in the thread, so I wouldn't replace, say, Hulk Hogan with Haku or LOD with Power & Glory. And the last series was based on mid-late '93, right? So the likes of Mabel and Diesel weren't in any position to get figures ahead of 123 Kid and Adam Bomb at the time.

Given the attires and a couple of the wrestlers chosen (Borga and Crush, both of whom weren't really relevant at all when the set came out), it had to be. Speaking of that last series, I hate that they cheaped out on Crush's attire. They could have made an awesome figure, but phoned it in big time.
