Mats Hummels 3. Eliaquim Mangala 4. Ilkay Gundogan 5. Toni Kroos 6. William Carvalho 7. Marco Reus 8. Falcao 9. Cavani 10.Cesc Fàbregas any of them players would be very nice indeed Plus very long shots but anything can happen in football Messi C.Ronaldo Zlatan Ibrahimović if one of these happened i'd lose my mind lol.

Luke shaw and william carvalho. Hope not but Enzo Perez would take the midfield to another level.

On a serious note though, they're not going to be in European competition next season and they'll probably be out of the Champions league for a couple of seasons... so how can they expect to get players like Falcao and Cavani to sign for them? Why would Shaw choose to join them over Chelsea?

I can't understand the hype for Luke Shaw, he looks good coz he plays for Southampton! Man Utd. NEED big names, not the likes of Fellaini, a great signing would be stephen el shaarawy! players like that, cavani would be good, no more mediocre, over priced signings

Here's my list:
1. Luke Shaw - I'm biased because I signed him at this time on Football Manager and he honestly became the best player in the world. Higher average rating than anyone and scored 15 a season from left back. So yeah, wouldn't mind that to happen.
2. Illkay Gundogan - less likely than a month ago as he signed a new contract, but its not that unusual for someone to do that and then leave for a few £ extra in the summer. This would be the marquee signing for sure, unless the Kroos rumours are true. Or...
Alt. 2. Cesc Fabregas - A month ago I would've said no chance, but since they've collapsed Barca have seemed increasingly willing to sell and the fans in particular have really turned on him. Arsenal probably can't afford him so he may well come to us.
3. A young centre back - everyone talks about Carvalho but I don't know enough about him to make a judgement. I think Jones-Evans would be a good pairing after a year or two, but a third centre back in case Jones' development stutters would be good.
4. A backup right back - just a cheap RB who can put a bit of pressure on Rafa without having to move Smalling/Jones/Valencia out wide. Must be better than Buttner.
5. A backup left back - see #4. Buttner should never get another game in a United shirt.
That'll do for this summer. Next summer a striker & winger would be top priority.

I can't see any of that making Man Utd fans happy this summer, after such an appalling season, Luke Shaw is good, in a Southampton team, Fabregas is a great player, but nothing compared to a few years back. with rumours of £200 Million being available, the above would be HUGELY disappointing! if West Ham £200 Million to spend I would hope for some big names, besides Kroos & Fabregas, you didn't mention any, and to say "a cheap RB" Im not sure a cheap right back would suffice to make the Champions League next season, a cheap RB should never be ok for what WAS, the biggest club in the World

They're not designed to start but to put pressure on the starters and cover for injuries. Shaw has huge potential and could be the final piece in a back 4 that could stay the same for 5+ years (Shaw Jones Evans/new CB Rafael). Fabregas hasn't hit his Arsenal heights at Barcelona but has still played well and would have more freedom and focus on him at United which would probably help. I'm being realistic in my predictions. Fabregas £35m, Shaw £25m, Centre Back £25m, Cheap RB £5m, Cheap LB £5m = £95m. That leaves £100m for big names if the '£200m' rumours are to be believed but I expect that is an overestimate. This spending and a good manager should get us back into the top 4. After that, £50m on a new striker and £30m on a new winger (which side depends on where Januzaj settles - I hope we'll make him an inside forward on the right wing, Mata at CAM and then an inside forward on the left wing (Reus?), which would allow the wingers to score plenty whilst Januzaj at least could still cross from RW) would be another summer of strong spending and would complete the overhaul in the optimum time (two seasons) into another title-challenging and consistent top three/four side.

Ross Barkley. They signed the wrong Everton midfielder last year. Have to also consider who won't mind the lack of European football. Think the likes of Barkley and Shaw are realistic and would massively improve the squad. Some of the names being thrown about are a bit too farfetched imo.

If I was United I would pay whatever it takes to get Tony Kroos. People tend to think of him as an '84' type midfielder, but whenever I watch Bayern he's literally been the Xavi of the side. Everything he does is near perfect from his passing and off the ball movement, he knows exactly what to do. Very intelligent player, doesn't get enough credit at all. I think someone like Pedro could be a good signing for United too, would easily adapt to the Prem, contribute a lot and still bag 15 odd goals a Season. Centre Back could be an issue though, as there doesn't seem to be a great deal of world class defender's about at the moment.

I really don't see why Utd should go for Shaw. Their priority should be a top centre back and a top midfielder. Don't get me wrong, I like Shaw but maybe after they've signed a CB and CM, then they can start thinking about strengthening other areas. Maybe I missed something, but Utd still has Evra. Is he moving on in the summer?
Wish Utd went for Eriksen when he was at Ajax, is a class player and they had him on the cheap too. Maybe he's not the box-to-box player they need but I'm sure he'd improve Utd. Not going to happen now. I agree with Dan, Kroos does always look good but would Bayen get rid of him. He was just in the starting 11 against Real. Wingers would be good too, since Utd's current crop are rubbish. Really, they need a massive overhaul.

As far as Summer Transfer targets go, here's my predictions; - Falcao to Real Madrid - Balotelli or Benzema to Arsenal - Diego Costa, Luke Shaw to Chelsea - Tony Kroos to Manchester United - Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana to Liverpool My only uncertainty though is who Manchester City will bring in. Really wouldn't put it past them officially putting a bid in for Messi sometime soon, someone's got to sooner or later.

As for Shaw, I hope one of the big clubs buy him, I'm almost certain he'll turn into another HUGE, EXPENSIVE flop like Fellaini did, another player who looked good among a load of crap players, Barkley excluded, but he didn't really play much while Fellaini was at Everton.
