Don't know why everyone is going on like Barkley is a world class player. He's a talented young Englishman which means his value has been completely overblown.
He's scored 5 goals this season, which is okay but needs improving. And he's got 0 assists, which is poor. Hardly a "OMG MUST BUY RIGHT NOW!" situation.

Messi will NEVER leave Barca, what would be the point? As for Shaw, I hope one of the big clubs buy him, I'm almost certain he'll turn into another HUGE, EXPENSIVE flop like Fellaini did, another player who looked good among a load of crap players, Barkley excluded, but he didn't really play much while Fellaini was at Everton. You think Baines is a 'crap player'? As you know, Baines is not a midfielder, so wasn't "around" Fellaini, as he's a midfielder

Getting back to the subject, don't want to just list names everyone else has and thinking that as someone said before Man Utd aren't in Europe next year so why would some of the bigger international names go to them apart from possibly crazy money. Who else is there for they could go for, again alot of people said names like Shaw and Lallana but it's the same problem with them. If Chelsea & Utd offer Shaw a deal the money won't be much different it's just playing in Europe that will, so Man Utd might have to look at some players who the bigger clubs won't. So at the risk of coming off totally crazy and knowing they wouldn't get Man Utd fans jumping out of their seats but.
Demba Ba- good scoring record in the PL, alright no much for Chelsea but not started much and has a great record at Newcastle & West Ham
Wilfred Bony- only been in the PL a season so might not move yet but done very well for Swansea this season and does seem to move clubs alot so far, plus probably wouldn't mind not starting every game when Rooney & Persie are fit
Again going for the easier to sign names not the huge global news names since surely every player they sign can't be a crazy money player and by Man Utd's standard these 2 probably aren't.

Now that he's has deleted his poor attempts at trolling, with the hope of him becoming a mod, lol! perhaps we can get back to the original point here. I agree, I think it'll be tough for Man Utd. to sign TOP names, but they have to try, they are in DEEP trouble otherwise

I agree they should still try for the bigger names and hope the Man Utd name and the promise that it would only be 1 season without European football will be enough, but they do need a back up plan. There obviously wasn't one last year and all they got was 1 young player to loan out all season and 1 midfielder they just didn't need in the first place so hasn't found much of a role.

They should try an go for some world class forwards and attacking midfielders, conceding 2 is ok, as long as you score 3! I don't agree with the working from the defence first, work from front to back
