It was such a huge disappointment. It was a watered down Planet Hollywood. I remember they had a crappy little arcade in there, food was bad and the store was overpriced.

I think there were cutscenes with it in SmackDown! 2. That's all I remember of it.

I used to write a girl that worked there. It was like a pen pals sort of thing. She would send me pics, but I never got to go.

My parents took me when I graduated elementary school in 2000. D-Von Dudley shows up unexpectedly and I got his autograph.
I went another time to eat after meeting Terri Runnels and Rhyno.
Besides that, I would go to get figures and stuff. Once while getting a Jeff Hardy figure, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco walked through. One of them was Hardcore Champion at the time and I was tempted to challenge for the belt under the 24/7 rules haha.

According to Wikipedia, Linda closed it so WWE could focus on their "global efforts". It's Wikipedia though, so I'd take that with a pinch of salt.

Yeah she actually said that, but no body believes that. WWE New York took advantage of the attitude era's popularity, but once that ended, WWENY shut down. The rent for that location per year was in the millions. No way it could have sustained that sort of volume.

I'm guessing this is what happened to the WCW Nitro Grill and Hulk Hogan's Pastamania restaurant as well then? If they'd opened a WWF themed place in a smaller location first, and then expanded, it might of been successful. I don't know, just speculating.

Yep. I'm a big punk rock & Ramones fan. I made sure to go there for at least one night and drink my weight in beer. My friend and I ended up going there three nights in a row. It's a shame it's no longer there. It should have been made into a museum. I stole one of the cheap glass candles off a table. I still have it. aw man I got so drunk there as well. The first time back in 1997 with the band "Sevendust". (I had no idea who they were) and then a couple of years later with Joe Queer. At least we can say we went to that...WASHROOM!!! CBs was such a great place and a crap hole at the same time. I haven't checked out the movie yet.

After making it down the crappy steps and opening the door to the bathroom, you'd expect nothing less than a toilet on a little platform.

I -always- wanted to go there when it was WWF New York and The World ( when it changed to WWE ) . . . I am only about an hour away and sadly never got to go.

I went to WWF NY for the first time on my 11th birthday. The PPV was Unforgiven 2000 and the guests were TOO Cool. I got their autographs and loved the entire experience. I would go to WWF NY 3 more times after that. I went to the Wrestlemania X-Seven party where I got autographs from the Dudley Boyz, Spike Dudley, Tazz, Triple H and Stephanie Mcmahon. Also went to two Raws and met Trish Stratus and Big Show. Great times to be a wrestling fan.
