Today officially marks the 343rd day of Dean Ambrose's title reign, tying with MVP, and starting tomorrow will officially become the longest reigning US Champ in the WWE canon. In terms of the overall history of the belt, he has 180 days left to tie Lex Luger for longest reigning US Champ of all time, and 76 days until he ties with Rick Rude for second longest reigning US Champ.
I love Ambrose, but this reign has been awful. It's not his fault though. Creative just hasn't had him defending it. It's basically become an accessory. I'd love it if Hunter just came out and announced that Dean would defend it every week to make up for all the free days he's been given. This could perhaps give the belt to Fandango or even Heath Slater to repay them for helping out Evolution.

I like Ambrose as champion, I don't want him to lose it, I just want him to defend it to make it aware to people that he still has it.

Just have him have a random title defense against say.. Damien Sandow? Then have Evolution cost him the title and from then on have it as the European standard title seeing as the IC title is back where it belongs.

343 days of absolutely nothing, the title reign was good until he stopped defending it at Hell In A Cell. Creative don't care about that US Title. Some of the house show matches for the US Title could have been on TV so Ambrose could defend it.
