Doubt Flash will even see release if the latest news is true...Good god. I think the majority of the general public has no clue what’s going on with Ezra or even care. At worst WB will rebrand this as a “Batman multiverse” movie with Keaton front and center, but I don’t see them pulling the film. Movie likely releases as scheduled next year and then WB makes an announcement that either Ezra has been recasted or that the DCEU will be completely rebooted (likely using The Batman as the new starting point). |

I have no idea if Batgirl would have been good or even profitable, but now we'll never know. Really sucks. |

Affleck has already replaced Keaton in Aquaman 2. I wonder if Keaton was going to cameo in Shazam 2 and/or Blue Beetle, and whether Affleck is replacing him in those too. I'm just speculating, but it seems to me that the Discovery guy might not want his DCEU Batman to be in his 70s.

I wouldn't be surprised if they adjust the marketing so it's more like a Batman: Flashpoint kind of movie though. Hard to see Ezra being super active with the marketing. |

Apparently cancellation was considered but they opted to push ahead. WB is hurting for $$$. They haven't had a big hit since The Batman & even that is said to have disappointed some studio heads. I could definitely see Miller being sidelined in favor of Batfleck |

Went to see Black Adam last night. Now maybe I'm missing something? But it hasn't re-invented the wheel the way some are saying. A decent watch with some great set pieces but IMHO? its FAR from the saviour of the DCEU that its made out to be. Fun movie though...

But Rocky isn't changing anything until he ponies up for a real screenwriter. |

DC Shocker: James Gunn, Peter Safran to Lead Film, TV and Animation Division
The duo will report to David Zaslav and assume the titles of co-chairs and co-CEOs of DC Studios.
Gunn will focus on the creative side, while Safran will focus on the business and production side of things. Both are expected to continue to direct and produce projects, respectively. They will report directly to Zaslav, and work closely with Warners film bosses De Luca and Pamela Abdy. Sources say the deal runs four years and Gunn will be exclusive to DC. The goal is for them not just to be producers, but to truly function as execuctives even as Gunn will occasionally hone a movie.
Unlike Marvel Studios, DC has multiple films set in separate creative universes, and according to sources, Joker filmmaker Todd Phillips’ work on the upcoming sequel, which goes into production later this year, will not fall under Gunn and Safran’s purview and instead will be overseen by De Luca and Abdy. Matt Reeves, who worked under Hamada, has a budding universe based on The Batman movie. It is unclear under whose purview Reeves’ future projects would fall, but everything else moving forward would be under Gunn and Safran.
