Just rewatched Takeover, and wow was that crowd rude when Asuka won the title, Asuka was holding up her title, all I could focus on was the front couple of rows just stood there, if they were bayley fans, OK but that still doesn't mean they should sulk because she lost, Asuka won, show the girls some respect and give it some applause rather than sulk I hate this attitude that fans need to play along. Its a work, but we dont need applause or boo signs. Maye they dont like Asuka? I think shes pretty, and has a cool look, but im not sold on her yet. These Japanese wrestlers havea different style All Im saying is that she deserved more applause than she got, I went to a Raw taping last November and saw The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler, was it a good match, not really but I still gave them both applause at the end of the match, because they just put on a show and risked their bodies for me

You shouldn't cheer or boo everyone based on respect. It's an entertainment show, if you weren't entertained don't force a reaction.
And the Joe/Balor match with the blood clean up killed it for me.

My best friend is a new fan (within the last year or so.) He watched NXT on Saturday afternoon with me, and Wrestlemania live on Sunday. He's never seen NXT, and only watches Raw and PPVs regularly.
He hated Wrestlemania and absolutely loved NXT.

Cheer for the people you like, boo the people you don't. Don't just cheer for everyone. The crowd reacted the way they did because she just beat Bayley who is one of the most beloved wrestlers in NXT.

I didn't know wrestling fans were supposed to act a certain way, please tell me more about how a wrestling fan is supposed to act. All I'm saying is I respect all the wrestlers, i know i couldnt do that, so I'm going to give them props whoever wins, prime example, Wrestlemania, I wanted Sasha to win so much, and when Charlotte did, I didn't feel any anger, because I just watched an amazing match, so I let out a little clap at my TV screen, same with the Ladder match

If we all cheer for everyone then I would expect you not to wonder why there's never going to be someone that gets the crazy pops that people used to get in the Attitude Era. I'm not telling you how to be a fan but if you appreciate a wrestler's work and if they are working heel (Asuka was acting kinda heelish flaunting the title in front of Bayley after the match) then don't cheer them, that's not the reaction they are working so hard to illicit from you.
The reaction Asuka got was appropriate given what just happened. It was a good match but she just beat like everyone's favourite by submission no less... Why would people cheer her? Never mind that there were a lot of fans likely burned out from the match that came before the Women's title match.

I'm not saying people should've popped for Asuka, but some applause would've been nice to see after that match they just put on, rather than hard camera side just stood there, looked very disrespectful. You bring up Asuka playing a heel type role, but so did Nakamura in some ways in his match, he beat the heart and soul of NXT in his final NXT match.
I just think Asuka/Bayley put on a great match, and the fans should've been respectful and gave some applause after the match rather than be in a sulk because Bayley lost

Nakamura shook Sami's hand and left the ring to him so Sami could have his moment despite it being Nakamura's debut. That is just about the least heelish thing a person could do. Asuka basically flaunted the title in front of Bayley after she won. If they didn't like the outcome why should they cheer? That's kinda where I'm getting hung up with your argument here.

She's just beat my favourite.

Speaking of Nakamura, Tyme, what about that reaction? I know it was his debut and all, but he got as good of a reaction as anyone on the roster (main or NXT). I enjoyed the NXT show significantly more than Mania.

Out of respect for how good the match was... But my girl just lost. ![:(](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/sad.gif) I get that, but it was a great match, with 2 woman who have worked hard to perfect their craft, so they should both get praise (maybe not the same because of the differing popularity) for the match they just put on regardless of who won and lost

Match quality doesn't always matter when it comes to the way the crowd reacts. Bayley was sitting devastated at ringside, so why would her fans who desperately wanted her to win applaud Asuka? I'll pose this question to you using another example of fans being in shock and disbelief, but this one is on a larger scale. Brock vs Taker at WM 30 was an awful match. But let's say it was a fantastic match and Brock won. The crowd would've still reacted the same. Would you have said the crowd was disrespectful to Brock for not applauding him after a great match?

I'm not going to cheer for her. It's alright if you do it, but I won't. I have people who I like and even though they put on a good match with their opponent, my choice didn't win and I am sad.

Not that my opinion means anything, but I think you applaud a good match. Even if your favorite loses. She was going to drop the belt eventually. That's something we all know. A good match deserves a good reaction. Even if you're cheering to support your girl in loss.

A good match deserves a good reaction. Even if you're cheering to support your girl in loss. I personally disagree with this. I mean look at Enzo/Cass vs Revival in London. Great match. Complete silence at the end because they were all upset Enzo and Cass lost. We can't just applaud all good matches. Disappointed crowds add to the story.
