So, I must say I've really been warming up to Roman Reigns recently. When I first heard about WWE's plans to push Reigns (prior to Royal Rumble), I was a little skeptical because I really preferred Ambrose and Rollins. I figured Vince just had a thing for Reigns because he has the biggest arms in the group and that "WWE look".
However, since Royal Rumble I have become quite the Roman Reigns supporter. The guy is good. I love the "Superman Punch" move and set-up and honestly feel the future is bright for ALL 3 members of the Shield. I'm glad, as of now, WWE is choosing to keep the Shield together as I feel there's a lot of gas left in the tank for them as a group.
Thoughts? Agree/disagree?

I love Reigns and his work in the Shield has been phenomenal, but I haven't been quite sold on his singles work yet. He still has time to work on those skills, however, and I think he'll be a major players years to come. All three of the Shield should be stars within the next five years, to be honest.

I still honestly feel that he is overrated.
In The Shield, he is amazing; he can come in, dismantle the other team, hit the apron dropkick, hit the Superman Punch, and nail the Spear. But, Rollins and Ambrose still carry the majority of the matches - which allows Reigns to do all that, and look like a million bucks when he comes in.
On his own, I haven't been impressed by any of his singles matches. I find him quite boring, and his mic skills are pretty average, imo. I'm not saying he wouldn't get better on his own with time, but I really think Rollins is much more deserving of being the guy WWE pushes out of Shield, at first.
IDK maybe it's just me, but I don't see the next "guy" when I look at Reigns.

I agree with both of you.
His mic skills are average (at best) and I don't recall any of his singles matches blowing me away.
I think with the right opponent we could see something good.

When The Shield debuted at Survivor Series 2012, Reigns was the first of the group that I recognized. My initial reaction to his inclusion was simply, "Why?" I had followed FCW for a while prior to its re-branding as NXT, so I initially knew him as Leakee, and I very much disliked him. I just didn't see anything in him other than a proper size and look. It was only because I was such a mark for both Ambrose and Rollins, and the concept of The Shield in general, that I tolerated Reigns for the first few months. Around the time that he and Rollins became Tag Team Champions, I began to warm up to him. It wasn't until Survivor Series 2013 when I was completely sold on him. For a while thereafter, I even considered him to be my favorite member of the group. Roman Reigns is ing awesome.

The way I see it, in order to push Reigns on his own, it'll be best to keep Reigns face so the heel can kick his ass for most of the match, then he comes back with the dropkick/Superman Punch/Spear. I know people HATE Cena for all the superman business, but let's be honest for a moment. Many of Bryan's matches haven't been so different, and they work pretty damn well every time.

I'm the opposite, Reigns has been my favourite in The Shield since they first started, but recently I have started getting bored of Reigns and how they're handling him and now I'm rooting more for Ambrose and Rollins, not sure how I'm going to feel when the push happens, when previously I was looking forward to it.

Superman punch, spear, and being with Rollins/Ambrose made him better

There was a tag match Monday, he did absolutely nothing till the last minute. He's worthless.

When you ask most people who their favorite member of the Shield is; you normally hear Rollins or Ambrose before Reigns...well that's what I see a lot. People are just now starting to open up to the guy. He isn't overrated in my opinion. His single matches haven't been bad in my opinion. His character is more about kicking ass rather than speaking. That's maybe why you don't think his mic skills are good. He gets his message across and kicks ass. He isn't about running his mouth and then fighting. At least, I think. That's just my opinion on what you said. I completely agree with you saying Seth Rollins in all honesty. The Shield started to bore me a bit near the Royal Rumble. They have become more entertaining again. I'm not sure what's really left after this whole angle, but I'm glad they did keep them together.

Ehh, I'm still not completely sold on the guy. Rollins is for the most part my favourite member of The Shield, closely followed by Ambrose.

I'm doing the complete opposite. When there all together, they all look great. However, when Roman is on his own, he seems to strugle with a various amount of moves. And his mic skills are "meh" to me, really not that much charisma.

I feel he is overrated and i'm annoyed by how hard WWE is going out of there way to push him. I mean the superman punch, apron drop kick, spear, and the little upper cut thing he does are all cool moves but what else does he have? I feel like he has 4 good moves and thats it. It's not like his bad in ring skill set can be covered up by his mic skills, cause his mic skills are atrocious IMO.
I miss when the Shield were more equals, now a days it just feels like the Shield is just a stepping stone for Reigns.

God no. Ever since his push I've despised the guy. First with Survivor Series, the only guy to pin Punk, being the only Shield member to get a win on that episode of SD, the Royal ing Rumble, being referred to as the "leader of the Shield" at EC, then being the guy who leads Ambrose/Rollins into the ring when they squares off with Evolution/Wyatts, I mean give me a break. Dude's incredibly overrated because of a couple moves. I preferred him when he was Tag champ with Rollins and he was the quiet guy but still kicked ass. Don't get me wrong, he still kicks ass, but it didn't seem as forced as it is now. Nowadays it's Ambrose and Rollins carrying the match for 15 minutes, getting the hot tag, leaping clothesline to a couple guys, some weird arm motions and duck face, superman punch, OOOOOO AHHHHH, spear, gets countered, Rollins/Ambrose do something to get the upper hand again, spear connects, win. It just really bothers me, I can't explain it. I see this no different than Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Del Rio, etc. Loved at first, then later hated. It's only a matter of time until you start hearing boo's when he gets tagged in. Well....hopefully.

What sold me to become a Roman Reigns fan was Survivor Series and the handicap 3 on 11 match on Raw. Reigns is defiantly awesome.
