WWE 13 was better than WWE 12's. Christ that was bad "lets have a story that involves you fighting Vader in a backstage brawl about 500 times". LOWM was kinda alright, but the gameplay killed it. Road to WrestleMania was the single worst story mode in the history of wrestling games. It was fine in SVR09 because it felt like a transitional kind of mode. Then it didn't go away for years. SVR2010 was bad, the only story I could stomach was Mickie James' story. All of them in SVR2011 were terrible and WWE 12...good lord. Yeah. WWE 13's was a step up from the previous years. But 2K14's was actually genuinely enjoyable. As in I played it and enjoyed it, not just to unlock everything. If they go back to "my career" mode, I'll either not buy it for a while depending on what else is released at the time (Smash Bros for Wii U and Pokemon Omega Ruby will be out around the time 2k15 hits), or for the first time ever I'd use the unlock cheat to unlock everything. Because I don't think I could stomach sitting through another terrible wrestling game career mode.

On amazon it says october 28th 2014 for the wwe 2k15 release date Could be a placeholder. Since they have a placeholder art that looks like something 2K actually sends out, though, this could be legit.

Except it is relevant since it does show that FY 2015 starts in 2014. There are several posts before it from people worried that it will not be out in time for Christmas and concerns that they will lose out on all that revenue. While yes, it is not 2K's date-to-date fiscal year (and it is the U.S. Government's that I used), it does show that the fiscal year for 2015 does not start January 1st which I believe some people to have misinterpreted.

As long as CAW is completely redone I'll be happy.

Some of us got our hopes up that they'd delay the game based on what someone who works for ing GameInformer speculated might happen. No way in hell were they going to launch later than October, they need those holiday sales and contrary to what some think---releasing a new game during WrestleMania season DOESN'T boost sales. All Stars and Legends of WrestleMania (albeit they're not the "actual" yearly title) can attest to that. Except that's irrelevant because that's not 2K's fiscal year. Just like Konami, their fiscal year ends in March. Except it is relevant since it does show that FY 2015 starts in 2014. There are several posts before it from people worried that it will not be out in time for Christmas and concerns that they will lose out on all that revenue. But is IS irrelevant because it's NOT the fiscal year in question. It was addressed in posts prior to yours (including the GameInformer quote) that the game was to be released in their fiscal year that ends in March 2015. The game was announced as releasing in 2K's fiscal year ending in March 2015, which encompasses the holiday season because the fiscal year for them starts in April the prior year. While yes, it is not 2K's date-to-date fiscal year (and it is the U.S. Government's that I used), it does show that the fiscal year for 2015 does not start January 1st which I believe some people to have misinterpreted. The first post even says "According to Michael Futter, new editor of Game Informer, WWE 2K15 is listed to be released "fiscal 2015," which of those who don't know ends 3/31/15." Nobody in the thread thinks that the fiscal year started on 1/1/15, nobody was confused as to when the fiscal year started or ended, they just thought that not releasing the game in time for the holidays would cause the game to not sell as well as it would if it releases in October, which we know now that it is so this whole discussion is moot.

What you just said adds nothing. I made an original post that shows fiscal year 2015 does not start on January 1st. Many people prior were concerned that the game would be coming out after Christmas. I made a post showing that a fiscal year crosses over from one year to the next. That's all it was meant to do, to help calm the murmurs that a major company was going to miss a major date, nothing more. I should not have been quoted (and misquoted at that) after this. You however have decided that what I am saying (even after explaining myself) is fact and factually wrong at that. What I first supplied was and is nothing more than supplemental information that fit the conversation at hand (making it relevant) that aids in showing that the game will most likely come out before Christmas. You then just partially quoted my explanation and then proceeded to further reiterate what I said, but in your own words and putting emphasis on "ends in March 2015" as if I had made any concern about that (which I didn't). Here's my full quote (I have highlighted the part you excluded for whatever reason): I was only trying to show about fiscal years (see the bold text in what I quoted since you misquoted me). Stop misquoting me and putting emphasis on things I didn't say to make your argument valid, its not.

What you just said adds nothing. Because it completely debunks the horse crap you're posting? I made an original post that shows fiscal year 2015 does not start on January 1st. Nobody was saying the fiscal year 2015 started on 1/1/15. Nobody has said that anywhere in this thread. You can bring that up as much as you want, nobody has implied that at all. Many people prior were concerned that the game would be coming out after Christmas. Concerned? There were people who were happy at the idea of six more months of development time. The others weren't concerned, they said they didn't believe it because the game wouldn't miss the holiday rush. I made a post showing that a fiscal year crosses over from one year to the next. Which people here pretty much already knew given that saying "fiscal year ends in March 2015" to most people doesn't mean their fiscal year is only three months. That's all it was meant to do, to help calm the murmurs that a major company was going to miss a major date, nothing more. You said: "Has anyone mentioned FY 2015 is from October 1 2014 through September 30 2015." You didn't say WHOSE FISCAL YEAR IT WAS. It has nothing to do with 2K's fiscal year, WWE 2K15, or anything in this discussion. What you did here was potentially cause more confusion because you just posted that crap and didn't say "for example, the fiscal year for the government runs from October 1st to September 30th the following year". You're not being misquoted, you're trying to backpedal and you can't do it fast enough. I should not have been quoted (and misquoted at that) after this. You haven't been misquoted at all. You however have decided that what I am saying (even after explaining myself) is fact and factually wrong at that. You said "FY 2015 is from October 1 2014 through September 30 2015." which is IRRELEVANT BECAUSE THE FISCAL YEAR IN QUESTION ENDS IN MARCH 2015. You can overlook this point all you want, you posted irrelevant information to the topic at hand. I'm not saying that "FY 2015 is from October 1 2014 through September 30 2015" is factually wrong, I'm saying it's irrelevant because it has nothing to do with WWE 2K15, 2K's fiscal year, or the discussion at hand. What I first supplied was and is nothing more than supplemental information that fit the conversation at hand (making it relevant) that aids in showing that the game will most likely come out before Christmas. "FY 2015 is from October 1 2014 through September 30 2015."You then just partially quoted my explanation and then proceeded to further reiterate what I said, but in your own words and putting emphasis on "ends in March 2015" as if I had made any concern about that (which I didn't).[/quote] Except it is relevant since it does show that FY 2015 starts in 2014. There are several posts before it from people worried that it will not be out in time for Christmas and concerns that they will lose out on all that revenue. And as I said before, they were concerned the game would sell less if it wasn't released in time for Christmas. People weren't worried it wouldn't be out, they were speculating that 2K wouldn't want to miss the holiday rush. While yes, it is not 2K's date-to-date fiscal year (and it is the U.S. Government's that I used), it does show that the fiscal year for 2015 does not start January 1st which I believe some people to have misinterpreted. Oh me. Again, nobody misinterpreted it. They were speculating that 2K wouldn't want to miss the holiday rush by releasing a game in March 2015 when it would be best to get the holiday buys. I was only trying to show about fiscal years (see the bold text in what I quoted since you misquoted me). You weren't misquoted at all and you know it. Stop misquoting me and putting emphasis on things I didn't say to make your argument valid, its not. You weren't misquoted, your argument is flawed, you think posting irrelevant information will clear things up when it stands to cause more confusion. Just stop. We have a release date, it's in the fiscal year that is described in the main post and not the one that you posted that has nothing to do with 2K.

@wakigatame, its sad that you began a debate with me and once I refuted you back, you edited your post.
I specifically made claim that you misquoted me and left off half the quote. You then edited the quote TO BE WHAT I POINTED OUT THAT YOU LEFT OUT, now this time leaving out the first half of what I said and changing your statement to be about the second half. You've also completely changed your conversation against the second quote of mine in order to appear more dominant and correct.
I can't take you seriously anymore, especially if you wont own up to what you say without an edit.
Your debate skills are pathetic.

Alright guys, enough of the fiscal year argument; it's not that important so everyone relax.
We have a release date for later this year and once some details come out I'll create an official thread.
On to a more important topic, what are the odds of CM Punk still being included?
