Chris Sabin did not have a very good showing in the Bound for Glory Series did he? Ultimate Tiger winning was surprising and I'm not very familiar with him. Hopefully you can make me get into him here. Santana playing the "held back" angle is fine. It gets used a bit often but it usually works since it seems like such a justified place to turn heel from. A win over Gail Kim is always big too, so that's cool. A Taryn/Santana feud sounds good. I dig the Bully Ray vs. Japan angle but I wonder what you'll do with him after BFG. The "very British theme" line made me giggle. I liked Ethan Carter saying he had bigger fish to fry than Rockstar Spud. The handicap match intrigued me. EC3 winning was obvious but I wonder if there's a bigger singles match between them coming. Oh, I sense Jeff Jarrett vs. EC3 at BFG which could be big for EC3. The Kurt Angle news is interesting. I feel like Austin Aries vs. Brian Cage would be a badass match. JEFF HARDY! The Bobby Roode video package seemed like a really nice touch. Whoa, big win for the School of Hard Knux. I still like what you did with that team. Whoa, a Bad Influence face turn? I'm not sure if that would work, however, I hope you keep them as cocky. They can be faces and still be arrogant, since that is their appeal. I like the addition of the links to the images from time to time. Added to the Birch, Bram and Abyss segment. Monster's Ball is always fun. I wonder if Abyss gets a partner to combat Birch and Bram. Tale of the Tape is always cool. The time limit draw is an interesting way to go. Three way at BFG? Anyway, another strong show as you have taken a time period in TNA that I disliked and turned into something I really enjoy. Sting coming back next week should be fun too.

TNA Hardcore Justice: Thursday 21st August 2014…Alright, this appeared to be as a pretty strange card at first, but it’s under the cover of a normal episode of Impact Wrestling, so it’s understandable. Bobby Roode defeating Gunner, Abyss and Bully Ray sounded like a fun Tables match – the right choice for opening contest as well when considering the Bound For Glory Series being a big part of the undercard here. Oh right, Roode I thought would end up facing Magnus tonight for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Good beatdown from Magnus, but I really hope that this isn’t a prediction for what will take place at Bound For Glory with Roode challenging Magnus. That would be good build – but when the series is still ongoing, it hurts things. I expected that Ivelisse or Alyssa Flash would end up losing this 10,000 tacks match, honestly. I couldn’t imagine Taryn Terrell or Gail Kim putting themselves in such a situation. Right decision, as we now have ourselves in a position where any of these Knockouts could challenge for Ivelisse’s TNA Women’s Knockout Championship…could Alyssa Flash be one of them? Kenny King defeating Alex Shelley made for a good match made very good predictably with help from the Full Metal Mayhem stipulation. It legitimised King further as TNA X-Division Champion, which is fine and dandy. I wonder who will stand in his way moving forward. Jeff Hardy defeating Brian Cage, Chris Sabin and Austin Aries in a ladder match was expected, given that this is primarily Jeff’s stipulation match. I’m a little weary about ladders being involved as a weapon two bouts in a row – but that’s just me. It didn’t seem like a bad match, and now it appears that Hardy and Roode are the two at the top of the BFG Series. The American Wolves in the semi-main event spot! Wow. Good defense by the TNA World Tag Team Champions against Manik and Seiya Sanada – I never saw Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards losing the titles this quickly. The New York City Street Fight stipulation was unnecessarily factored into this match – and it was strange that it was definitely the opposite of that: perhaps prompting a negative reaction from the New York crowd perhaps. Who was that woman? Interesting…So that’s where the return of Knux and Hanson came from! Good attack to set up the next tag team angle – it’ll be interesting to see where the Aces & Eights revival goes…hopefully not far because they were a terrible faction. Rebel? School of Hard Knox? I could have gone for a better set of names than those, but alright. Oh right, Kurt Angle leads the BFG Series in the main event win! Not bad, but I kind of don’t want him near the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at this point in his career. Good win against Ethan Carter III (who I actually suspected would win), James Storm and Samoa Joe – and it’ll be interesting who wins this year’s BFG Series in the end. To evaluate the rankings, I would say Roode still has the best chance of going on to qualify at Bound For Glory given the build progress tonight – but I think other than that EC3 would benefit the best.
TNA Impact Wrestling: Thursday 28th August 2014…Austin Aries and Chris Sabin’s segment to kick off Impact this week was fine, although I initially thought that this would be an angle with collusion between Sabin and Aries. Instead, a match instead was fine – and I was pleasantly surprised to see Sabin pick up the win, frankly. Bully Ray defeating Abyss was expected in the next Bound For Glory Series match – more emphasis on Birch and Bram empowering Abyss. Very strange, and I’m hoping it hurries along to the next step sooner rather than later. Sigh, I really hoped that you wouldn’t go with Bully Ray and the Great Muta’s next phase of feuding. Not only because it makes it clear that Bully won’t be winning the BFG Series, but I’m just not keen on the WRESTLE-1/TNA relationship at all besides Seiya Sanada’s presence. I also hated that TNA held Bound For Glory in Japan, too. Abyss with some revenge! Could he get his momentum back working en route to Bound For Glory? Maybe we could see a revival of him in the BFG Series failing only due to the amount of past losses – that would be a nice character twist. Kurt Angle with another win against Gunner, like he needs it. Up next, James Storm with a win against Brian Cage, that was strange from a Cage supporter perspective, but it does make sense at least. Storm with one foot over the chest of Cage was a little too much though, perhaps. Magnus and Samoa Joe’s interaction was nice – why isn’t Magnus doing anything yet? I don’t think I’ve seen him compete since Destination X last month actually. The teased interaction with Samoa Joe was nice, but I doubt Joe will be winning the BFG Series and coming to challenge him for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. But besides this, the one downside (of many) of the BFG Series is the champion’s lack of story progression other than teased confrontations with BFG Series participants. It’s very limiting, and it kind of makes you think being champion would be bad. Samoa Joe then beating Ethan Carter III by disqualification…wow! I can understand EC3’s discontent, and now it seems like Kurt Angle is way ahead of him. I do hope Angle isn’t the eventual winner though – then again, who else have you really got? Heh, Shark Boy’s still on the roster? I also pretty much forgot Eric Young was still around, honestly. Kind of disappointing that Young’s not higher on the card and instead losing out in this role, though. Hanson and Knux did need a reinforced win after their beatdown of the Wolves to boost momentum, though. I suppose they’ll be the next challengers of Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards. Lastly, a good win for Bobby Roode putting him in at #2 on the BFG Series, beating Jeff Hardy. It seemed like a good main event to a decent show. The BFG Series, as illustrated by this show, could go anywhere from this point. I’m hoping for Roode to beat the gap and outscore Kurt Angle. Other than this, I was surprised at the lack of progression in the TNA X-Division Championship and TNA Women’s Knockout Championship divisions.

Impact Wrestling on Sep. 18, 2014 @ San Francisco, CA. — Ep. #537 A cool documentary-style video is played, showing the TNA roster travelling on a passenger plane into San Francisco International Airport ahead of the first of four LIVE broadcasts as Impact Wrestling goes on the road in the final 4 weeks leading to Bound for Glory in Tokyo! We see footage of most of the superstars and Knockouts getting prepared in the backstage area before we cut to inside of the Kezar Pavilion where Mike Tenay and Taz are both sitting on-hand at ringside, ready to call all of tonight's action as it happens! The pair (and crowd!) are buzzing and who can blame them, given that this is TNA's first live television broadcast since 6/19 in Bethlehem!
1.) Chris Sabin, Manik, Alex Shelley & Manik defeat X-Division Champion, Kenny King, Low-Ki, Ultimate Tiger & Tajiri (with Bully Ray). Solid way to kick off this live broadcast as the stars of TNA's high flying X-Division take to the ring for a hectic 8-man tag match. WRESTLE-1's Tajiri was accompanied to the ring by the sneaky Bully Ray, who was being overly fanatic about Tajiri and it was painfully obvious that he was luring Tajiri into some sort of trap. Every competitor got the chance to shine in this match at one point or another. The crowd were fully into it and were eager to see Shelley and Sabin co-operate, however, that didn't happen given their recent feud over the X-Division Championship. In the end, Tajiri began sizing Sabin up for a Buzzsaw Kick when Bully hopped onto the apron. He didn't even get the chance to do anything as Tajiri was quick to spit the infamous green mist in his face! Bully collapsed off the apron, desperately trying to rub the mist off his face. With Tajiri turning his back on the action, Sabin quickly rolled him up and grabbed a handful of tights for the win!
Sabin, who has had a rough past few months in the Bound for Glory Series, celebrates like he just won the World Series as he celebrates on his own. Sabin motions to Kenny King that he's coming for the X-Championship before we see Tajiri looking around, annoyed at the loss. Bully Ray is then shown on the floor seething with rage at Tajiri spraying the mist into his eyes!
Commercial Break
TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus comes to the ring and he is dressed in his ring gear although it should be noted that he's not scheduled to compete tonight. Once in the ring, Magnus begins to talk about how last week was the Bound for Glory Series finals and there was no winner decided between Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe as they wrestled to a time limit draw. Magnus states that because he is the champion, he has taken it upon himself to go out and give anyone in the back that didn't compete in the Bound for Glory Series a shot at his World Championship right here, right now. Suddenly, a theme that we haven't heard in quite some time comes on across the PA system as those in attendance who recognise it explode! Curry Man comes dancing out from the back as Magnus acts shocked at the revelation. It was a nice unexpected surprise to see Curry Man appear as TNA did promise several surprises for the live broadcast. Once in the ring, Magnus continues to play up on being shocked. Taz notes that Curry Man won't actually be main eventing Bound for Glory opposite Magnus as Director of Wrestling Operations, Jeff Jarrett signed off on a rematch between Joe and Roode for tonight's main event. Magnus turns his back on Curry Man to talk to the crowd before he turns around into a big right hand from Curry Man, dazing the champion and forcing referee Earl Hebner to call for the bell to get this one underway!
2.) World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus defeats Curry Man in a non-title bout. Whilst it was fun to see Curry Man out here tonight for what we presume is a one-off appearance, it was evident that he wasn't going to go over Magnus tonight. Despite this, the crowd were firmly behind the Japanese superstar, who almost pulled off the upset with the Spice Rack but the champ kicked out at the last second! Magnus had eventually had enough and soon took control, dominating Curry Man for the remainder of the match, eventually putting him away after locking him in the Cloverleaf, forcing Curry Man to tap out!
Irked by being embarrassed by Curry Man, Magnus refuses to release the hold as the official calls for the bell. Curry Man continues to tap out before Magnus finally releases the hold and snatches his World Championship from the official and raising it high with one boot placed on the back of Curry Man. Magnus then yells into the camera that noone disrespects him.
In the back, the cameraman catches up with Jeff Hardy for a word on Austin Aries' attack on a fan last week in New York City. Hardy says that Aries crossed a line last week and he is sick and tired of him. Hardy lays down the challenge.. he wants to face Austin Aries at Bound for Glory on October 12 in Tokyo! Jeff then walks off before we cut to a commercial.
Commercial Break
Backstage "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe is standing by with broadcast colleague, Jeremy Borash. JB asks Joe about last week's controversial Bound for Glory Series finals match between Joe and Roode which ended in a time limit draw. Joe talks about how he had Roode beat with the Muscle Buster and had the match went on just 3 seconds longer, he would be standing here, the headliner of Bound for Glory. Bobby Roode himself makes an appearance at the interview area. He warns Joe that he got lucky last week and tonight, his luck runs out. As "The It Factor" will be headlining the biggest date in TNA's annual calendar.
3.) Abyss defeats Birch in a Monster's Ball match. It was strange to see Birch out there sans Bram but he held his own, showing a mean streak as he actually took control over the much bigger Abyss in the early going of the match. Birch used a plethora of foreign objects to remain control and there was nothing the official could do about it as it was all legal! Despite being busted wide open, "The Monster" Abyss was able to mount a comeback with the crowd firmly behind him as he dropped 1/2 of The Progeny in Birch with a series of elbows to the temple before a big scoop slam onto a trash can lid. After Abyss retrieved Janice from under the ring to a big pop but before he could use her, Bram appeared at ringside and distracted Abyss. He tosses Janice aside and goes over towards Bram. Birch attempts to jump Abyss from behind but he moves out of the way and Birch crashes into Bram, sending him careering down to the floor! Birch cannot believe it as he then turns around and runs right into a huge Black Hole Slam and Abyss picks up his first win in months!
"The Monster" doesn't get long to celebrate his victory as Bram clobbers him from behind with a wrench! He is relentless in the attack as he repeatedly clubs a defenceless Abyss as Birch soon joins in, kicking away at Abyss. Their attack comes to an end when Gunner slides into the ring with a chair! The Progeny are wise to casually slide out of the ring as Gunner swings the chair over the top rope but The Progeny are already down on the floor. Birch and Bram are pissed off at Gunner getting involved as they yell at him to mind his own business. Gunner checks on Abyss as Mike Tenay wonders why Gunner came out to Abyss' aid here tonight.
A graphic appears on-screen, hyping "The Icon" Sting's return to Impact Wrestling right after these commercials...
Commercial Break
It's the moment that we've all been waiting for as Sting's music blasts throughout the Kezar Pavilion and he emerges from the back to a thunderous ovation. Sting talks about how great it feels to be back on Impact Wrestling after almost a year spent on the sidelines, watching from his home just a few hours drive south in Venice Beach. The crowd pop again. He says that when he got the call from Jeff Jarrett last week about how he wanted to bring him back after Dixie Carter ousted him from the company during her reign of terror, he was a bit hesitant. He thought he had hung up the boots. But when Jarrett propositioned him with inducting his long-time friend The Great Muta into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame this year, he couldn't say no. Sting talks about how it will be an honour for him to induct Muta into the Hall of Fame alongside himself and Kurt Angle. "SORRY, about you're damn luck!" James Storm theme hits, cutting Sting off in the process. Once in the ring, Storm wants to be the first to welcome Sting back to Impact Wrestling but he cannot help but wonder, how on Earth did he manage to blag himself a day pass out of the old folks home. Storm says that Dixie done the right thing when she was calling the shots around here, taking out the trash like Sting and AJ Styles. Storm says that he's happy for Sting getting the chance to induct Muta into the TNA Hall of Fame and now that he's got his big announcement off his chest, Storm is going to give Sting to the count of 5 to get the hell out of his ring so that we can return back to our normally scheduled programming! The crowd oooh at Storm, who by now is going face to face with "The Icon". It seems as if Sting is considering it as Storm sits on the middle rope, holding it down for Sting to leave. Storm heads back over to Sting, getting in his face and telling him that he's only going to tell him one more time! Storm turns around and goes to head back over to the ropes and hold them down again when to the surprise of everyone, Sting pulls Storm back by his ponytail and into the Scorpion Death Drop! The crowd cheer as Sting stands tall, raising his bat in the process! Taz says how great it is to see the Stinger back!
Commercial Break
Jeremy Borash is standing by at the backstage interview set-up with Ethan Carter III and Katrina. Borash asks Carter for his thoughts on Director of Wrestling Operations, Jeff Jarrett punching him last week. Ethan is livid as he angrily yells that Jeff Jarrett cannot get physical with any member of the Impact Wrestling roster because he is not an active competitor under a talent contract. EC3 says that Jeff has until the end of the broadcast, after he has wiped the floor with Rockstar Spud, to reward Ethan with a World Title shot and he will put this behind him... or else he will file the papers and he begin the process of suing him for everything he has!
A video package plays, recapping Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III's friendship and alliance before it all went sour after Spud accidentally cost Carter a Bound for Glory Series match and then Ethan turned on him.
4.) Rockstar Spud defeats Ethan Carter III (with Katrina). This one was an all-out war as Spud and Carter went at it in a truly brutal contest. Carter clearly underestimated Spud, who caught him off-guard with a flurry of quick fire kicks and punches, stunning Carter before quickly rolling him up with a crucifix pin that almost picked him up the win! Carter, who has still yet to be pinned or defeated, soon took control and was always one step ahead of Spud as girlfriend Katrina cheered him on at ringside. At one point, Spud took control when suddenly Katrina entered the ring and attempted to distract Spud. Her charm seemed to be working on him before she attempted a big slap that Spud blocked and proceeded to make out with her! The crowd explode but Carter attacks Spud from behind. EC3 begins to toy around with Spud when Jeff Jarrett comes walking down the rampway as Taz wonders if Jarrett's here to give Ethan an answer to his ultimatum. As the referee checks on Spud, Jarrett surprises Carter with a right hand shot that sends him stumbling into a roll-up from Spud for the 3!
The roof is almost blown off the Kezar Pavilion here tonight as Rockstar Spud just became the first man to pin EC3 since he burst on the scene at Bound for Glory last year! The camera focuses on Carter, who cannot believe it as he looks around the building in horror. Katrina too is gobsmacked as she has both hands on her head. Jarrett raises Spud's hand before taking a microphone from Christy Hemme as EC3 goes absolutely berserkin the ring whilst Katrina shrieks beside him. Jarrett tells Carter that his blackmail almost worked... but he can go ahead and file that lawsuit all he wants--but he doesn't have a leg to stand on when it's filed because what he doesn't know is that Jarrett is no longer the DoWA. Jarrett reveals that he stepped down last week after negotiating with The Network and signed a talent contract. "BUT just before I signed the termination of my Director of Wrestling Operations contract, I made one last order of business whilst I was in charge: Carter. Jarret. Tokyo. Bound for Glory!", Jarrett drops the mic as Ethan looks surprisingly pleased at the news.
Commercial Break
TNA World Tag Team Champions, The Wolves--Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards--are shown conversing in the back with their tag straps hanging over their shoulders when Bad Influence--Christopher Daniels and Kazarian--stroll up. The Wolves put their guard up when Kazarian tells them to chill out. Daniels explains that he knows The Wolves and the Bad Influence have alot of history together..but they have a common enemy in Knux and Hanson, the School of Hard Knox. Daniels sips his martini before telling the pair to make no mistake about it, they still want the Tag Team Titles but they have The Wolves backs'... for now!
5.) Taryn Terrell defeats Santana. Friends-turned-enemies in Taryn and Santana locked horns here in San Francisco for our Knockouts action of the week. They battled back and forth, both ladies desperate to leave here tonight with the win. Santana seems more comfortable in the role of a heel as she knew exactly what to do in order to wind up those in attendance. Both girls were a little sloppy at times but that was to be expected given they are more or less the rookies of the division. Santana almost scored the big win with a handspring moonsault but Taryn kicked out and battled back, eventually picking up the 3 count with her running Cutter finisher.
The official raises the hand of Taryn, who was able to get a measure of revenge over Santana tonight after she cost her a Knockout's Title match a few weeks back. Taryn heads to the back, leaving Santana downed.
Commercial Break
Back from the commercial and a frustrated Santana is still in the ring but she has a microphone. She begins to scream down the mic that she's not leaving the ring until Taryn gets back out here and faces her again because she wants a rematch! Santana calls Terrell's win a fluke and that she will finally prove once and for all who is the most dominant Knockout. There's a silence in the arena when suddenly a familiar theme music hits and the monstrous former Knockouts Champion, Awesome Kong strolls down the rampway as the crowd explode! "Oh my God, Taz, it's Awesome Kong! We haven't seen her here on Impact Wrestling in years!", Mike Tenay screeches down his headset. Santana looks like she has seen a ghost as she runs at Kong but she may aswell have thrown herself infront of a subway train. Santana drops to the mat and clutches her chest before Kong grabs ahold of her by the hair, yanking her to the feet and then slamming her back down to the mat hard with a big Implant Buster! Kong's music starts up again as she stays on one knee whilst the crowd cheer. "Wow, TNA Knockout's... consider this your notice. Kong is back and she I sure as hell wouldn't want to be on our Knockouts roster right now", says Taz.
We see some footage of the Golden Gate Bridge, right here in San Francisco as we hear the crowd in the Kezar Pavilion. Mike Tenay and Taz talk about how great it has been to be here in San Fran this week and to remember that Impact Wrestling is coming to a city near you over the next 3 weeks with tickets still available...
- September 25 @ Agganis Arena in Boston, MA. (LIVE broadcast on Spike)
- October 2 @ Sears Center in Chicago, IL. (LIVE broadcast on Spike)
- October 9 @ The Joint in Las Vegas, NV. (LIVE broadcast on Spike)
We then see a split screen of both Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe making their way towards the tunnel. Who will walk out of San Fran. with a ticket to the main event of Bound for Glory in Japan?
Commercial Break
6.) Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Roode in the Bound for Glory Series final ends in a No Contest. Another solid showing from both Roode and Joe, who were impressive in the sense that you would never have guessed they squared off last week as it felt like the first time seeing they go at it. Joe looked to have the thing wrapped up with the same Muscle Buster that he hit just as the time limit expired last week and covered. It looked like Joe had the match in the bag but Roode was able to put his foot on the bottom rope. Both men were desperate to pick up the win here given how they have both been screwed out of title shots in the past year by World Champion, Magnus. Speaking of Magnus, he came storming to ringside at one point to a chorus of boos. He wasn't happy with Roode and Joe getting another shot here and he let that be known as he ordered the official to throw the match out. Bobby was able to take Joe down with the Roode Bomb before he taunted Magnus by syncing in Magnus' patented Cloverleaf! The champ was irate, tossing his suit jacket to the floor before sliding into the ring and clobbering Roode with the World Title whilst he had the Cloverleaf synced in! The official ended up throwing the match out as Magnus then laid Joe out with a title shot for good measure!
The crowd are livid at yet another dusty finish as Magnus heads up the ramp looking satisfied, holding his title high the entire way. He stops at the top of the ramp and begins mocking the crowd, telling them that nobody deserves to face him at Bound for Glory when suddenly something flashes up on the big screen, prompting the crowd to erupt and forcing Magnus to turn around and see what they're marking out for...
The champs' jaw drops as he looks like he has just seen a ghost! The camera cuts to Joe and Roode, who are both now back on both feet. Blood trickles down Joe's forehead after the title shot to the skull but he is grinning and nodding his head. Roode points at Magnus, who is still in a state of complete shock. "There you have it, our Bound for Glory main event is set... and it's a three way! Jeff Jarrett may have only just relinquished his powers but The Network are sure as hell pulling no punches! Join us next week for the fallout to all of this LIVE from Boston!", says Mike Tenay.

Live shows always have a better feel. The Bully Ray/Tajiri stuff continues to be interesting. Good to see Chris Sabin turn things around a bit, though I don't know if I see him as the next X-Division Champion. I feel like Magnus hasn't competed in forever. HES HOT! HES SPICY! HE TASTES GREAT! A nice surprise and obvious win for the TNA World Champion. Abyss breaking out of his slump works, and I always enjoy Monster's Ball matches. Gunner getting involved is intriguing. James Storm interrupting Sting was unexpected. Will Sting be a part of Bound for Glory? Wow. I enjoyed the write up for the Ethan Carter III match but unsure on the outcome. On the one hand, I dislike it because I love undefeated EC3, but on the other hand, it not only gives Rockstar Spud a massive win, but it makes booking EC3 a bit easier since you don't have to worry about the undefeated run. EC3 should beat Jeff Jarrett at BFG to get back on track. Christopher Daniels should be tired after the Curry Man appearance. Taryn Terrell getting revenge on Santana is fine, but I don't think this is the end. AWESOME KONG IS BACK! I hope it's an official return and not a one-off. Another good main event and the outcome leading us to a Three Way at Bound for Glory is sweet. Should be fun. Overall, a grand edition of Impact. If the other live episodes are like this, then I think we're in for a treat. Loving this.

We start this Impact Danger Zone off with some X Division action, something we seem to have a lot. On the one hand, I like how it gets everyone hyped up but on the other it seems kind of repetitititive... sorry, Katy Perry in the corner of my eye. Har har. Anyway, back to seriousness, good opener that had a few angles in the mix including the Tajiri mist in to Bully Ray's eyes. Ironic cause Tajiri is blind to what Bully is doing infiltrating the dealers and finding the supplier. HE'S HOT! HE'S SPICY! HE TASTE'S GREAT! CURRY MAN! Jobbing away to Magnus. Cool moment with Curry, but obvious win for Magnus as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. I like the tale of the tapes you've put in, they look nice. Paul Burchill was a good talent back in WWE. Fackin' Birch. Abyss beating him was good in the Monster's Ball and having Gunner on his side is interesting to say the least... tag team monster's ball at BFG? Maybe? A good moment to have Sting back, although now it seems weird to see him be in TNA. I'm curious as to if this is actually something with James Storm or not coming out of this. Hahaha, EC3 just got pwned by Spud and Double J. Take that you cocky little bitch! BITCH! Wow, big announcement afterward by Double J saying he stepped down as Director of Wrestling Operations in order to set up his Bound For Glory match with EC3. Should be good and should be a good rub for EC3 win or lose (expecting the prior). Bad Influence has The Wolves backs... for now. Interesting. Good win for Taryn Terrell over Santana, she needed it and they both get to move on... and just as I say that, we bring in Awesome Kong! Having her back should be interesting and she took down Santana so maybe that could be a feud for Kong? Or just something to get her back? Magnus thinks he is smart screwing over Joe and Roode, but it turns out we will have a triple threat at Bound For Glory. Well, that will definitely be an interesting main event and I still expect Roode to walk out the winner when it comes. Another good show from you, Jord, I like this more than real TNA. Hopefully you're paying the talent.

Impact Wrestling on Sep. 25, 2014 @ Boston, MA. — Episode #538 Previously on Impact Wrestling...
- World Champion, Magnus interrupted Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe's rematch last week in the Bound for Glory Series finals leading to The Network making it a 3-way match at Bound for Glory on 10/12
- Rockstar Spud ended Ethan Carter III's 11 month undefeated streak after outside interference from Jeff Jarrett cost Carter the match. Afterwards, Jarrett stepped down as Director of Wrestling Operations
- Awesome Kong returned to Impact Wrestling after over 4 years away, immediately laying waste to Santana and putting the Knockouts locker room on notice
Following being welcomed to the show, coming to you LIVE from the Agganis Arena in Boston, Taz and "The Professor" Mike Tenay do their usual introductions before the music of Ethan Carter III starts up and he comes storming down the rampway with Katrina trailing behind him. Carter snatches a microphone from Christy Hemme before he enters the ring, immediately ranting about how last week Jeff Jarrett not only tarnished 11 months of excellence but he also embarrassed himself and the Carter family when he attacked him, resulting in Rockstar Spud stealing a victory over him and ending his undefeated streak! Carter wants revenge and demands that Spud come down to the ring and face him like a man! A brief pause occurs before Rockstar Spud comes down to the ring to a big reception as the crowd have really taken to Spud as the underdog babyface. Once he is inside the ring opposite Carter and Katrina, Spud says that he's going to prove to Carter that his win last week was no fluke when he pins him 1-2-3 right here in beautiful Boston! The crowd pop but it soon turns to boo's when Carter headbutts Spud, knocking him down onto the mat before he then orders a referee to call for the bell and we have an impromptu rematch from last week on our hands here!
1.) Ethan Carter III (with Katrina) defeats Rockstar Spud. Carter has control in the early going after the headbutt prior to the bell ringing, however, Spud is able to battle back after countering Ethan's attempt at a back body drop by landing on his feet before then firing away at him with everything he had! Both men continue the fight, as Spud really puts on one hell of a showing and proves that he is more than just a lackey and a comedy character. The finish came when Spud looked for the Underdog but Carter blocked it by simply tossing Spud off him mid-move before then drilling him head first with the One Percenter for the victory and some redemption!
Carter's music starts up as Hemme announces him victorious. He stays in the pin cover, keeping Spud's leg hooked the entire time and staring out at the crowd as Katrina now makes her way into the ring. Spud put up a valiant effort but it just was not to be here tonight in Massachusetts. Carter finally gets to his feet before he instructs referee Brian Hebner to raise his hand as Katrina stands on the sidelines applauding. Jeff Jarrett's music hits and he comes pacing down the rampway and into the ring where he goes toe-to-toe with Carter. After some words were exchanged, Carter ends up slapping Jarrett before the pair roll around the ring in a brawl! Jarrett gets control, tossing Carter into the ropes but Ethan clings on to the rope and drops to his back, rolling out of the ring under the bottom rope where he meets girlfriend Katrina on the arena floor. Carter brushes the former Director of Wrestling Operations off, instead opting to head to the back with Katrina by his side as we cut to a commercial break whilst a fired up Jeff Jarrett stands on the middle rope with Rockstar Spud behind him.
Commercial Break
Jeremy Borash is with the X-Division Champion, Kenny King at the interview area. King hypes up the upcoming X-Division four way match, promising victory for himself. He dances out of frame with his title.
We see some footage from last week when Tajiri sprayed green mist into the eyes of Bully Ray. After the footage is over, we see Bully Ray standing in the back wearing some sunglasses due to the mist attack last week. Bully says that he tried to help Tajiri and got it thrown back in his face--literally. He says that he will make Tajiri pay and regret ever coming to not only Impact Wrestling, but North America in general. Ray/Tajiri next week!
2.) Low-Ki defeats DJ Z (with Jessie Godderz), X-Division Champion, Kenny King and Manik in a non-title match. Exciting X-Division action here pitting 4 former (and the current) X-Division Champions inside the squared circle for a one fall to a finish contest. Manik almost got the win in the early going after a big Frog Splash onto both DJ Z and Low-Ki, who was attempting to pin Z, however, Kenny King was on-hand to break up the fall before covering Z himself, only for him to kick out. Low-Ki looked the most impressive out there, scoring the 3 count after the Warrior's Way on Manik at the 6 minute mark.
After celebrating his victory on the turnbuckle, Ki catches the eye of Kenny King, who is backing up the rampway clutching his title belt. Mike Tenay notes that Low-Ki has been on a roll and King should be wary.
In the back, Gunner is taping up his wrists ahead of his tag match with Abyss against The Progeny. He tells the cameraman that he came to Abyss' aid last week because he was sick and tired of seeing the way that The Progeny constantly outnumbered "The Monster" and he couldn't stand backstage watching any longer. Suddenly, Bram and Birch come out of nowhere, jumping Gunner from behind! Gunner attempts to fight back but he isn't able to get very far as after knocking Birch out of sight, he battles with Bram only to be left laying after Birch whacks him over the back of the skull with a wrench! He lays motionless on the concrete as we cut away.
Commercial Break
3.) The Progeny (Bram & Birch) defeat Abyss in a 2-on-1 match. Gunner fails to show up for this scheduled tag bout due to Birch and Bram's attack just moments ago, leaving Abyss to go at it alone here tonight. Despite the numbers disadvantage, "The Monster" put up a fight, not backing down from The Progeny and at one point he was fully in control, dropping Bram and Birch repeatedly with a series of clotheslines, forearm shots, scoop slams and sidewalk slams. In the end, the numbers advantage and repeated fresh tags proved too much for Abyss as he was put away by Bram with a poke to the eyes and a lifting DDT.
The demonic pair stand tall over Abyss, yelling into the camera that Gunner got what was coming to him for getting involved in business that he had no right to. Suddenly, the crowd begin to cheer as the camera cuts away from The Progeny to the entrance curtain where Gunner is shown slowly jogging down to the ring with Janice in-hand! He slides into the ring and starts swinging her like a maniac, forcing The Progeny to flee the ring!
Commercial Break
Top of the first hour and the music of World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus comes on as he struts out with his title belt hanging over his shoulder. He's not in a suit but instead his ring gear with one of his own tops which you can pick up on ShopTNA.com! Once in the ring, he begins to talk about how the entire purpose of the Bound for Glory Series was to find an opponent for him to face at Bound for Glory--not find opponents. The last time he checked "an opponent" was not plural. He says that management stacking the odds against him is nothing new. He's defied the odds since the day he came to TNA and Impact Wrestling and Bound for Glory when he defends against Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe--two men that he's already successfully defended the title against--he will walk out still the champ. He says that nobody expected him to walk out of Slammiversary and the King of the Mountain match still the champion and look at how that panned out. He is then cut off by "The It Factor" Bobby Roode, who enters the ring. Roode says that he shouldn't have needed to enter the BFG Series to earn a shot at the World Title but instead he should have been given it--because he never did get his shot at the title. Magnus interrupts, telling Roode that he got his shot on the March 13th broadcast of Impact Wrestling but lost. Roode says that he had Magnus beat and only lost because Abyss interfered. Samoa Joe cuts both men off, storming to the ring and getting inside. He says that the difference between him is that he will do all of his trash talking in the ring. He tells them both to continue running their mouths because come Bound for Glory in Tokyo on 10/12 the only outcome will be him holding that title high above his head. Magnus proceeds to hold the title high himself, saying into the microphone that it doesn't matter who or how many people he has to defend his title against because there is no way in HELL he will be losing it! Magnus drops his mic and exits the ring as he backs up the ramp, continuing to hold the title high as both Roode and Joe watch him before we cut to a commercial. One thing's for sure, all 3 men are determined to leave Tokyo with the title!
Commercial Break
"Cowboy" James Storm is backstage with Jeremy Borash. JB asks Storm for his thoughts on Sting attacking him last week during his return to Impact Wrestling in San Francisco. Storm says that he knows Sting is a part-timer unlike a workhouse like himself and so Sting isn't here tonight. He wants Sting to keep an eye on what he's gonna do to Seiya Sanada tonight before he personally invites Sting to Impact next week in Chicago.
4.) James Storm defeats Seiya Sanada. Decent match here between WRESTLE-1's Seiya Sanada who is on-loan to Impact Wrestling and the "Cowboy" James Storm. It was clear from the outset that Storm would be the winner in this one as he seemed more ruthless than he has been as of late given that "The Icon" Sting laid him out last week upon his return. Sanada ended up falling victim to the Last Call superkick that got Storm the 3.
Following having his hand raised, Storm yells over the top rope down into the camera that he hopes to see Sting next Thursday night when Impact Wrestling rolls into Chicago!
Commercial Break
The School of Hard Knox, Hanson and Knux, are shown conversing in the backstage with their manager, Rebel. She is talking about tonight's 3-way between Knux, Christopher Daniels of Bad Influence and Eddie Edwards of The Wolves. She tells Knux that it will be a walk in the park. The trio then begin to head off before we cut to inside the arena where Bad Influence's music starts up...
5.) Christopher Daniels (with Kazarian) defeats Knux (with Hanson and Rebel) and World Tag Team Champion, Eddie Edwards (with Davey Richards). Really great 3-way match here between 1/2 of each of the 3 teams that will square off at Bound for Glory in a 3 way tag match for The Wolves' tag titles. Knux had the early advantage due to his size and strength, working over both Eddie and Daniels. Eventually, Daniels and Edwards worked together in order to send Knux packing out to the floor. After some commotion at ringside between Hanson, Rebel, Richards and Kazarian, referee Brian Stifler ejected them all from ringside. Edwards ended up surprising Knux with a huge diving footstomp but Daniels sneaked in, tossing Eddie to the floor and stealing the win!
The Fallen Angel doesn't hang around in the ring, instead bailing and having his hand raised on the rampway by the official! Knux cannot believe he was just pinned and Eddie Edwards looks equally as surprised out on the floor. Mike Tenay notes how Bad Influence had seemingly had a change of hearts a few weeks back when they saved The Wolves from Hanson and Knux. Taz says that it was every man for themselves after all and Daniels was smart to seize the opportunity to pick up a big win ahead of the 3 team match at Bound for Glory!
Commercial Break
Back in the Agganis Arena and the entrance music of The Anti-Knockout's starts up, leading to Alyssa Flash and the Knockouts Champion, Ivelisse coming down to the ring. Ivelisse gets on the mic, talking about how all she has heard over the past week is about Awesome Kong's return to Impact Wrestling. Ivelisse tells Kong that a couple of things have changed since she was last around here. "I'M the baddest bitch in all of Impact Wrestling... I'M the greatest Knockouts Champion of all time... and I sure as hell ain't scared of YOU!", the champ states. Suddenly, she is cut off by the theme of Awesome Kong herself who slowly walks down the rampway to a thunderous ovation here. Once inside the ring, Ivelisse swaggers up to Kong, once again telling her that she's not scared of her. The champ begins pointing her finger in the face of Kong who retaliates by grabbing ahold of her finger, prompting the champ to drop to one knee, screaming in pain! Flash goes after Kong, only to be shoved aside. Santana slides into the ring behind Kong and jumps on her back, attempting to choke her out but it has no effect on Kong, who simply charges backwards into the corner, squashing Santana like a fly as the referee calls for the bell and this one is officially underway!
6.) Awesome Kong defeats Santana. Kong makes mincemeat out of poor Santana, the Knockout that she laid out last week in San Francisco upon her return to Impact Wrestling after a 4 year hiatus. After rolling out of harm's way from Kong's splash attempt from the second rope, Santana attempts to battle back but it just was not to be as Kong eventually put her away for the W after a brutal Awesome Bomb.
Knockouts Champion, Ivelisse seems to be re-thinking her earlier statements of not being scared of Kong as she looks on in horror with Alyssa Flash by her side at the top of the ramp. Kong then simply points at the champ.
We cut to live outside of the Agganis Arena here tonight in Boston. Taz and Mike Tenay talk about what a great two weeks they've had on both coasts of the country these past two weeks and they can't wait for the road tour to continue! Remember that tickets are still available as Impact Wrestling and the Spike cameras come to a city near you...- October 2 @ Sears Center in Chicago, IL. (LIVE broadcast on Spike)
- October 9 @ The Joint in Las Vegas, NV. (LIVE broadcast on Spike)
Commercial Break
7.) World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus defeats Jeff Hardy in a non-title match. Huge main event here tonight as World Champ, Magnus squared off against arguably the most marketable guy on the Impact Wrestling roster in Jeff Hardy, who Magnus has beaten before and vice versa. It was clear that Hardy knew just what a pin over the champ here tonight would do for his status within the company as he pulled out all of the stops to pick up a big win. Austin Aries, who has been feuding with Hardy as of late, appeared at ringside in an attempt to distract Hardy. It backfired though as Hardy sidestepped Magnus' attempted attack from behind, sending the champ crashing into Aries, who fell to the floor. Hardy then stunned Magnus with the Twist of Fate but he got his foot on the bottom rope at the last second. The finish came when Hardy surprised Magnus with an O'Connor Roll but Magnus kicked out, sending Hardy stumbling over to the ropes where Aries was laying in wait, catching Jeff with a discus forearm! The Charismatic Enigma staggered back and right into a Spineshaker from the Brit that proved to be enough to keep Jeff down for the 3 count, all whilst Aries sat leaning against the ring apron on the outside with a big smile.
Magnus orders the referee to raise his hand as he holds his title up at the same time. As Austin Aries heads up the ramp, satisfied with costing Jeff the match, out of nowhere Hardy attacks him from behind on the rampway and the pair go at it! They exchange control but Hardy seems to get the better of Aries until security appear to split them both up. "LET THEM FIGHT", chant the Boston crowd as security do their best to separate the pair!

Alright, honestly I haven’t read much of anything on the board but hopefully something catches my eye. I really like the prospects of a Jarrett/Carter match at Bound For Glory considering Carter is one of the best heels going today. I hope he prevails over Jarrett in that eventual showdown, though. Low Ki probably should be the X-Division champion. Is Birch Paul Burchill or is he somebody else? Please make something out of Bram. Magnus/Roode/Joe at BFG? That’s an interesting main event and one I’d watch. The main event seeing Aries cost Hardy the match is fine as it would make a match between them at the biggest show of the year. If that’s the case, then that’s a pretty good co-main event show.
The card for BFG was posted really weird... but the triple threat match for the title, Jarrett/Carter and Aries/Hardy is by far better than what TNA provided this past year. I’ll be reading that show and leaving a reply for sure. (If I remember, just remind me.)

We start the Danger Zone out this week with some EC3 and Katrina and, looky here, we got Rockstar Spud wanting a piece of him again. Good to see EC3 get the revenge beating on Spud. Jarrett and EC3 going at it afterward was a nice touch and I'm looking forward to their battle come Bound For Glory. Kenny King dances out of the frame with the title, but I bet you he can't dance like R-Truth in the WWE Network ad. No, that wasn't a black thing. Maybe. Low-Ki getting the win over DJ Z, King and Manik in a fatal four way was fine and we might end up seeing Low-Ki versus Kenny King which sounds pretty good. Gunner getting laid out by Birch and Bram was perfect set up for the handicap match to take place, giving Abyss no back up now. Gunner coming back late with Janice, though, was a nice touch and I expect the inevitable tag match between the two pairs to take place at Bound For Glory in perhaps a tag team monsters ball. A good three man promo between Magnus, Booby Roode and Samoa Joe to give promotion for the title bout at BFG. I still fully expect Roode to walk out as the champion in Tokyo, though, and it'll be hard to convince me otherwise. So do it. James Storm gets the win over Seiya Sanada, fine win for him. He's waiting for Sting next week, eh? Maybe this really is a long-term feud between the two set up. Christopher Daniels gets a win in a triple threat with Knux and Eddie Edwards. Really not too sure of who will win the match at Bound For Glory in this one, although I'm partially pulling for Kaz and Daniels even if The Wolves deserve it more. Awesome Kong is back and I think she is actually the baddest bitch in wrestling, not Ivelisse. She basically squashes Santana - no pun intended on the weight or anything - and she's clearly back for a title shot. Could see her winning it for sure down the line at Bound For Glory. Magnus faces Jeff Hardy in the main event and it would be a good one. Of course, Austin Aries has to get involved and we get a nice old school brawl afterward to end the show and I liked the focus on Aries and Hardy to conclude the show for once, especially when we already had the triple threat get focus earlier on. Another good show from you, Jord. Congrats on (unofficially, but soon to be) spotlight.

Impact Wrestling on Oct. 2, 2014 @ Chicago, IL. — Episode #539 The usual Impact Wrestling signature kicks off the show tonight before we end up LIVE inside of the Sears Center in Chicago, which looks roughly 70% full as the camera pans the arena, however, TNA have done a good job in moving the crowd around so that the hard camera side has more fans. As usual, Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us to the broadcast as they hype the fact we are only 10 days away from Bound for Glory!
We kick the show off tonight with "Cowboy" James Storm making his way down the rampway and into the ring to a negative reaction here in Chicago. Taz notes that Storm will be competing in tonight's 6-man tag match main event pitting Storm, Ethan Carter III and World Champ, Magnus against Bobby Roode, Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe. Storm wastes no time in ranting about how he was unsuspecting of Sting's attack two weeks back in San Francisco as Sting ended up dropping him with the Scorpion Death Drop out of nowhere as he had his back turned! Storm calls Sting a coward and says that he saw his tweets claiming to have missed his flight last week which is why he was M.I.A in Boston. Storm calls Sting a part-timer and that the real reason he wasn't on-hand last week was because Sting is afraid of what Storm will do to him! The crowd begin to chant "WHAT" after each and everything that comes out of James Storm's mouth. Storm says that he has ordered some cameraman to sit out in the Sears Center parking lot for the duration of tonight's broadcast and notify Storm as to when Sting finally shows up tonight--if he shows up, that is. The Cowboy drops the mic to the mat, exiting the ring and heads up the rampway to the backstage area.
A graphic hypes our main event tonight which is a blockbuster 6-man tag pitting World Champion, Magnus alongside Ethan Carter III and James Storm versus. Jeff Jarrett, Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe!
Commercial Break
1.) Abyss and Gunner defeat The BroMans (DJ Z & Jessie Godderz). After being jumped backstage by The Progeny, Gunner was fired up here tonight as he and Abyss put on an entertaining tag bout against former TNA World Tag Team Champions in DJ Z and Jessie. Gunner was all fired up here, hitting The BroMans with everything he had before eventually making DJ Z tap out to the Gun Rack around 5 minutes into this one!
Gunner and Abyss celebrate their victory before Gunner requests a microphone from Christy Hemme at ringside. He yells that it will take alot more than a beatdown in the backstage from Birch and Bram to keep him down as he is a former U.S. Marine! Gunner and Abyss challenge Birch and Bram to face them in a Monster's Ball match at Bound for Glory before Abyss says that they'll need more than weapons to stop Gunner and himself!
Commercial Break
In the back, The Wolves--Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards--are shown talking whilst Davey puts his elbow pads on as their TNA World Tag Team Championships sit on a table behind them. Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, collectively known as Bad Influence, enter and tell The Wolves that they can understand why they may be apprehensive with them given that Daniels tossed Eddie to the floor last week and picked up the win for himself but he needs to remember that it was every man for themselves and not Daniels and Eddie vs. Knux in a 2-on-1 match. Kazarian tells The Wolves that they may have helped The Wolves a few weeks back by saving them from a beatdown at the hands of The School of Hard Knox but don't get it twisted--The Wolves have something that Bad Influence want: the TNA World Tag Team Championships!
We cut out to the parking lot where Mike Tenay speaks over the live shot, stating that cameras will be present out there all throughout the broadcast awaiting the arrival of "The Icon" Sting to the Sears Centre!
2.) Hanson (with Rebel) defeats World Tag Team Champion, Davey Richards and Kazarian. After their respective partners done battle in a 3-way last week with Christopher Daniels, Kazarian's tag partner, scoring the win over Knux, it was now time for the other half of each team to take to the squared circle. Rebel was in Hanson's corner but Knux, Eddie Edwards and Daniels were all absent. Solid bout here that was one of the first times we really got to see what Hanson was capable of as this was his first non-tag team match since his debut. Tension between Davey and Kazarian following last week when Daniels stole the win from Eddie despite seemingly an alliance formed between Bad Influence and The Wolves allowed Hanson to almost take Davey's head off with a Bicycle Kick before dumping Kaz out to the floor and hooking Richards' leg for the 3 count!
Rebel immediately slides under the bottom rope, running over to Hanson in the middle of the ring where she shoves the referee aside in order to raise his hand. An impressive showing here from Hanson.
We see Gail Kim stretching in the backstage area ahead of her match tonight against a woman she is very familiar with--Awesome Kong. Gail tells the cameraman that she's had her fair share of battles with Kong that have went down in the TNA Knockout history books. She's not scared of Kong one bit as she's beaten her a couple of times in the past. Gail says that tonight she plans on doing what she does best and slaying the giant.
Commercial Break
We return back to the parking lot as cameras continue to await on the arrival of "The Icon" Sting, who promised to be here tonight in Chicago after being absent from last week's broadcast in Boston.
Jeremy Borash is at the interview area alongside our Knockouts Champion, Ivelisse and her ally, Alyssa Flash. Ivelisse says that herself and Alyssa can appreciate a woman like Kong. "Us three all have something in common--we are the the anti-Knockout's", Flash says. Ivelisse extends an offer to Kong, to join herself and Alyssa in their fight against the TNA Knockouts. They hope to hear Kong's answer next week in Las Vegas.
3.) Awesome Kong defeats Gail Kim. These two are arguably two of the greatest Knockout's in the history of Impact Wrestling and actually put the division on the map back when it was founded in 2007 after some of their classic encounters. Tonight was no different as Kong and Gail worked an outstanding match that got a decent amount of time. Awesome Kong has been a face since her return to TNA two weeks back and Gail too is a face but that didn't seem to bother the crowd seeing two faces going at it. Gail almost pulled off the upset after countering Kong's Awesome Bomb attempt into a roll-up but the monstrous Knockout was able to kick out just at the last second. When a series of running dropkicks failed to take Kong off her feet, Kim climbed to the top and went for a diving hurricanrana but it was blocked by Kong, who this time successfully hit the Awesome Bomb for 3.
Kong shoves Gail aside like she's nothing before getting to her feet as her theme music plays. Mike Tenay wonders if Kong will take Ivelisse and Alyssa Flash up on their offer and join The Anti-Knockout's next week?
Commercial Break
Ethan Carter III is sitting on a sofa in his own personal locker room alongside girlfriend, Katrina talking and laughing about Carter getting a measure of revenge over on Rockstar Spud last week when suddenly TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus enters the room. Carter asks Magnus if he left his manners at the door by not knocking. Magnus tells EC3 that he doesn't like him and vice versa but unfortunately, they have to team up tonight in the main event as per orders of "The Network". The champ tells Carter that he came here to let him know he's willing to put their differences aside in order to leave victorious tonight. EC3 doesn't respond.
The entrance music of "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy blasts throughout the Sears Centre as the crowd erupt into thunderous cheers! Smoke begins pouring out, covering the stage before we see a silhouette emerge as Hardy begins to do his usual posing at the top of the rampway. "Wa-.. wait a minute! That's not Jeff Hardy!", Mike Tenay shrieks down his headset. The camera pans in to reveal Austin Aries in Jeff's get-up as he stops the taunting and heads to the ring like his normal self. Once in the ring, Aries chuckles down the microphone that it's criminal how the Chicago crowd went from cheers to jeers. Aries claims to be the better wrestler than Hardy and should be shown more respect than he just was. Aries continues to trash talk him until the real Jeff Hardy enters the ring and just like last week, a brawl ensues! Aries gets the upperhand before he leaves the ring and begins looking under the ring for something but he cannot seem to find anything after searching under two different sides of the four sided ring. Eventually, Hardy takes him out with a baseball slide, sending Aries back into the guardrail. Jeff looks under the ring, pulling out a ladder to a big pop! Hardy slides the ladder back into the ring just as Aries attempts to fight back but Jeff stops him in his tracks with a knee to the gut before tossing Austin back into the ring. Hardy uses the ladder as a weapon, charging at Aries and knocking him down with it! It appears he caught Aries with the edge of the ladder hard as he is now bleeding. Hardy sets the ladder up and ascends him, doing his signature taunt at the top as the crowd roar. "Oh my God, Mike, he isn't going for a Swanton Bomb off the top is he?!", Taz questions. Just as it looks like Jeff is about to dive off, Aries rolls out of the ring as the crowd boo. Jeff descends down the ladder whilst Aries heads up the ramp, favouring the cut on his forehead, blowing Jeff off as he disappears through the curtain before we go to a break.
Commercial Break
Back from the commercial and Austin Aries is shown knocking things over in the back as he has a bloodied face following Hardy's use of a ladder on him just moments ago. The cameraman catches up with Aries and asks if he's alright after what just went down. A Double is absolutely seething as he yells at the camera asking if he looks alright. Aries looks deep into the camera, saying that since Jeff loves ladders so much, why not have a little fun in 10 days time at Bound for Glory in Tokyo and make their match a Ladder match! Aries then heads off down the hallway...
The announce team are ecstatic at Aries/Hardy now being a Ladder match, claiming that it adds a whole other dimension to the bout. They then move on to talk about how Japanese wrestling legend The Great Muta will be inducted into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame in a ceremony the night prior to the PPV by "The Icon" Sting. We cut to a video package, highlighting Muta's multiple TNA appearances over the years...
4.) Bully Ray defeats Tajiri. There was alot of tension here between Bully and Tajiri given Ray's on-going feud with The Great Muta and how Tajiri is here in Impact Wrestling as part of TNA's working relationship with WRESTLE-1 in Japan, which Muta founded. This one came about after Ray tried tricking Tajiri into working alongside him but Tajiri outsmarted Ray by going along with it only to end up spraying the infamous green mist in his eyes! Decent bout here with the Chicago crowd really into the Japanese Buzzsaw. Bully had the match won after a Piledriver but he added insult to injury, mocking Muta and winning with an awkward Shining Wizard.
After ordering the official to raise his arm, Bully gets on a microphone and claims that he executed the Shining Wizard better than the innovator of the move, The Great Muta. Ray says that Muta fears Bully and that's why he hasn't set foot on American soil since Slammiversary back in June. Bully Ray invites Muta to Las Vegas next week to get this beating that he has been postponing since Lockdown over and done with.
Commercial Break
5.) Brian Cage defeats Alex Shelley, Eric Young and Ultimate Tiger. Taz noted that this match came about due to The Network (who still haven't appeared on TV following Jeff Jarrett stepping down) feeling that there is no clear number one contender for Kenny King's X-Division Championship. Speaking of King, he joined Mike Tenay and Taz on commentary for this one. It was refreshing to see Cage competing in the X-Division here, taking it back to the division's glory days of it not being about weight limits but no limits and Cage certainly knows all about no limits despite his size. "The F'n Machine" scored the win after the Weapon X on Young.
X-Champion, Kenny King seemed impressed with Cage tonight but he told Taz and Tenay that it doesn't matter who faces at Bound for Glory because the title isn't going anywhere.
A video promotes Bound for Glory, airing LIVE on pay-per-view out of the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on October 12! Please contact your local cable or satellite provider for availability.
With just moments to go until our huge 6-man tag team match main event, "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe is shown heading down the hallway towards the curtain when "The It Factor" Bobby Roode appears infront of him. The pair have some choice words for each other, given that they will be opponents in 10 days time at Bound for Glory, vying to win the World Championship in a triple threat also including Magnus. Jeff Jarrett steps inbetween the pair, trying to diffuse the situation as he tells them that he understands their frustrations but they're going to have to put their differences aside for one night only. Roode heads off, leaving Jarrett and Joe standing as the pair watch Bobby head down the hallway. Taz notes that there is major tension on both teams in our main event but will all 6 men be able to hold it together?
Commercial Break
Once we return from the commercial break, we cut out to the parking lot for the third (and presumably, final) time tonight. Jeremy Borash is standing there and he reports back to Mike Tenay and Taz in the arena that cameramen and women have been present out here all throughout tonight's broadcast, awaiting the arrival of Sting, however, he has not appeared in the Sears Center through any possible entrance.
6.) World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus, James Storm and Ethan Carter III (with Katrina) defeat Jeff Jarrett, Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe. A thoroughly entertaining main event here which took two of the top on-going feuds here in Impact Wrestling (Magnus/Roode/Joe and EC3/Jarrett) and tossed James Storm into the mix for this blockbuster 6-man tag match to close out tonight's live broadcast. With this being Jeff Jarrett's first match back since signing a talent contract a couple weeks back, he showed signs of ring rust but that didn't hold him back as he hit Storm with all his signature moves. Any time Jeff tagged in, Carter would tag out, which got Ethan great heel heat from the crowd. The tension on both teams (between Magnus and EC3 on the heel side and Roode and Joe on the face side) was obvious from the moment that the bell rang. In the end, the clear rift between Joe and Roode is what cost their team the match as the pair got into a fight, spilling out to the floor and through the crowd until the pair were out of sight, leaving Double J all alone. EC3 ended up tagging himself in and sized Jarrett up for the One Percenter when Magnus returned the favor and tagged himself back in, quickly picking Jarrett up and slamming him back down with a huge Spineshaker to take all of the glory in this one!
Magnus snatches his World Title as Carter looks visibly annoyed at Magnus tagging himself in, despite Carter doing the same to him! Magnus heads up the ramp, satisfied with his victory as Katrina tries to calm down an annoyed EC3 as the pair leave via the side of the ramp. Back in the ring, James Storm is standing over Jeff Jarrett, who is beginning to get back to his feet. Jarrett ends up turning around and being blasted with a Last Call superkick that almost knocked his teeth down his throat! Storm picks up his beer bottle and takes a swig as Taz notes that Storm is taking out his frustrations on Sting not appearing once again. He crouches behind Jarrett as it appears as if he is going to hit him with the beer bottle when suddenly the arena lights go out! The crowd erupt as they know what is about to go down! Once they come back up, Sting is standing behind an oblivious Storm as the crowd go berserk! He's here! Sting is here in Chicago! Storm eventually turns around and sees Sting. He swings at the Stinger, who ducks before ramming his bat into the gut on Storm, who drops to both knees before quickly bouncing back to his feet only to be hit with the bat again! Storm retreats out of the ring, thinking twice about fighting a man with a bat! He heads up the ramp, holding his gut as the crowd continue to go absolutely insane. Sting points the bat over the top rope at the "Cowboy", who has a tantrum on the rampway. The camera cuts between Sting and Storm as the show fades to black. Join us next week at 9/8c in Vegas!

My apologies for not consistently replying to this diary, but I’ve been reading here and there and it’s definitely one of my favorites at the moment. If this wins Spotlight, it’s well deserved. Onto Impact Wrestling, great opening promo from James Storm. Sting remaining in TNA is a bit odd, but I do love the idea of a program between him and Storm. Expecting sparks to fly tonight if Sting arrives. The Six Man Tag main event looks unbelievably stacked. Abyss and Gunner is an interesting pairing for sure. Expected victory for them over The BroMans. Monster’s Ball match! Glad you’ll be going that direction for Bound for Glory. I do hope Birch and Bram come out with the win, though. From what I’ve seen of Hanson, I’m not over impressed with him, but he’s an intriguing addition to the TNA roster. Big win for him over Davey Richards and Kazarian to give The School of Hard Knox the momentum in this triangle feud for the titles. Anti-Knockouts are love. Anti-Knockouts are life. Kong vs. Gail brings back fond memories of the division’s earlier years. I doubt that Kong will accept the offer from Ivelisse and Alyssa. Loved the segment here with Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy, and their Bound for Glory now being a Ladder match is very exciting. It’s interesting that this is the third BFG in a row where Hardy and Aries are involved in the same match. Bully Ray and The Great Muta’s rivalry has been built up extremely well over the past few months. Fantastic touch by having Bully use the Shining Wizard to mock Muta. Not a bad win for Brian Cage here. I’m not very big on him as a performer, but he does add to the X-Division. Lastly, a huge main event that surprised me a bit with the result. Magnus pinning Jeff Jarrett was a big call, but fine to give him momentum heading into the Bound for Glory main event. Sting! Very fitting way to close the show after Storm opened it. Great Impact Wrestling episode overall. Looking forward to the go-home show next week.

Jord
You've been firing out shows, which is good to see! Thanks for the spotlight vote but I think you've got this one in the bag.
Your Bound for Glory line up looks dodgy on the computer FYI.
Surprised you actually included Joe in the Bound for Glory Main Event, not sure I 100% agree with the decision but it does make me wonder who will actually leave as champion, actually leaning towards Magnus a little now.
The card is worthy of the biggest event of the year on paper.
Storm/Sting, Jarrett/ECIII and Hardy/Aries is a worthy under card - question what are Hardy/Aries retrieving in their ladder match or is it pin fall only?
couple of points I wanted to make on an otherwise very strong diary - Storm just feels like a name for Sting to beat it doesn't feel like a clash between two of the best, Storm is a little cold in my opinion at the minute. ECIII unless I'm wrong hasn't really had that heat getting moment of Jarrett but suppose he doesn't really need it if he's going over at the PPV. Wouldn't have had Knux lose (surprisingly) and the X-Division is a little bit of an afterthought at the minute which is understandable but you have the talent for a very strong division.
However they are small points, you know I'm a big fan of this and can't wait for Bound for Glory!

Now I understand why this diary is crushing the spotlight polls. Solid job you're doing here.
I've been fortunate enough in my life to meet the vast majority of TNA's roster, and you've captured them well. Although I am team #EC3forChamp, I think Magnus is a wonderful choice for the face of the brand. The main event sounds like a great matchup. James Storm vs Sting sounds like a good storyline. Storm can hold his own in it's development and Sting needs no hype. Two staples of TNA going after one another there. Bad Influence in TNA is amazing. Wolves vs Bad Influence for the tag titles is a SOLID matchup for a PPV. One thing I think TNA really has gotten right is building a solid tag team and women's division and not only have you continued that trend, you've improved on it. Bad Influence, School of Hard Knox, and The Progeny are good additions to the division. My question is, The Wolves have been tag champions for almost half a year. Is that enough for their run or are you going to give them more of a push? Who knocks them off and gets that great boost from a victory like that? BFG seems like a great opportunity for a push like that so I'm going in predicting School of Hard Knox steal one away from the other two teams. Also, Magnus is coming up on a one year reign. If you're looking to push someone like ECIII, there ya go. Kim losing to Kong is upsetting. Big Gail fan, but I understand you can't be burying Kong. She's not going to look to strong if you treat her like WWE treats their big men. Ivelisse? I know her! You seem to like her much more than I do, giving her the title and all. I like that she's champ, though. TNA has a strong women's division, but I feel like everyone in that division have had their turn with the title. Ooooooh. What if ECIII screws over Magnus and they feud for the title? That'd be awesome. Hardy/Aries is a great matchup for a feud. Should be a good match at BFG. Not a Bully Ray fan, but I have to admit he's a legendary wrestler in ECW, WWE, and TNA. Tajiri is amazing, and I'm glad you're utilizing the W-1 partnership to bring him in. Kenny King is great. Not much to say about the X-Division storyline as it seems to just be kicking back in. Hoping you book Kenny well, he's a top talent and a midcard hero. Main event should bring up some questions! Classic booking of the main event as it draws nearer to the PPV. Really big fan of this diary now. I wanted to do a Destination America TNA diary, but it seems that my competition would be too great. Great job with this diary. Definitely deserves the spotlight, Jord. One complaint is that your Bound for Glory preview layout looks really awkward. Like, there's only a few words on each line. Also, never change that avatar.

I don't know if TNA did these live shows in real life but it's a good idea. Chicago always has a hot crowd. The James Storm/Sting stuff is interesting. I've always liked Storm. The BroMans <3. Monster's Ball at Bound for Glory should be sweet. Big win for Hanson. I like his team with Knux. The Tag Team Title picture is getting better. Awesome Kong/Gail Kim is one of my favorite things TNA has ever done. The Anti-Knockouts asking Kong to join makes perfect sense, but I feel like Kong was decline. She's a loner. Great segment for the Austin Aries/Jeff Hardy feud. I loved it when CM Punk dressed as Jeff and I'm sure Aries could pull it off. A Ladder match is always good, but what's going to be hanging up there? lol awkward Shining Wizard. I wonder if we'll get Great Muta/Bully Ray at BFG or just a segment. Brian Cage is an excellent addition to the X Division. He's different from everyone else there, which is how it should be. Big main event and I like Jeff Jarrett eating the pin. He's established enough that it won't hurt him. Sting showing up was awesome and I seriously love the Bound for Glory card right now. Excellent as always and well deserving of the Spotlight.

We got some Impact Danger Zone wrasslin', Maggle, with only one show left after this until Bound For Glory! James Storm kicking things off was good, giving some shine to his feud with Sting going on. Him calling out Sting was cool, I expect he will by the end of the night. Abyss and Gunner getting the relatively easy win over The BroMans was obvious with their feud with Bram and Birch going in to the Monster's Ball match. Waiting for the arrival of Sting in the parking lot? Like Sting drives. Come on, now, Tenay! Hanson beats Davey Richards and Kazarian, fine stuff there, as they need some wins before going in to Bound For Glory being the underdog team of the trio. Gail Kim vs Awesome Kong is like a throwback to, like, 7 years ago dude. Jeez. So long ago. Anyway, Kong was obvioulsy going to get the win over Gail even if it was to be competitive. Kong joining the Anti-Knockouts? Yeah, right, like she doesn't just want the title. EC3 is a bitch and Magnus knows it. Austin Aries mocking Jeff Hardy was cool, I liked how they got in to a brawl over things and we got a good taste of things between the two ahead of their match at BFG. He calls for it to be a ladder match at the event, eh? Strange to have a ladder match without anything above but, I dig it. Bully Ray beating Tajiri was clear with Ray's feud with Muta. He's inviting Muta to Vegas next week, eh? I'm still waiting for a match to be set for BFG. It has to happen. Brian Cage beats Alex Shelley, Eric Young and Ultiate Tiger. Kenny King thinks he is going to keep the title at Bound For Glory but I feel like somebody is going to surprise him and knock him off. Finally, the big six man tag ain event and it is Magnus getting the pin over Jeff Jarrett and I think that was the best way to go if we weren't going to have a faulty finish. Sting is here and I TOLD YOU DAMN IT, HE WASN'T GOING TO BE COMING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT! STUPID MIKE TENAY! STUPID! A good save from the now-known as 'Vigilante' Stang and a good ending to the Chicago show, really looking forward to Bound For Glory. So much better of a card than the real one was.

Impact Wrestling on Oct. 9, 2014 @ Las Vegas, NV. — Episode #540 With just 72 hours until TNA broadcasts live on pay-per-view out of the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo for its annual spectacular, Bound for Glory, the cameras are rolling here tonight at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada! We are warmly welcomed to the show by Mike Tenay and Taz, who are sitting comfortably ahead of tonight's stacked show. They hype our main event dubbed Roode/Joe III as the two challengers to Magnus' TNA World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday square off once more. They talk about how The Great Muta's advertised to appear tonight before the camera cuts over to Christy Hemme...
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 10 minute time limit!", Christy announces before an unfamiliar theme as The Great Muta himself slowly comes through the curtain to a thunderous ovation! "Speak of the devil, Taz! There he is! TNA Hall of Fame 2014 inductee and Japanese wrestling legend, The Great Muta!", says Tenay. His opponent turns out to be former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Sabin.
1.) The Great Muta defeats Chris Sabin. Solid way to kick things off tonight here as the appearance of The Great Muta really got the crowd's attention and pumped them up. Sabin done a good job in playing the role of the heel here and despite holding his own, it was clear that Muta would be picking up the win here. Sabin was knocked out by the Shining Wizard around 5 minutes in as Taz notes to Bully Ray that's how you do it.
The crowd are on their feet, applauding the living legend that is The Great Muta when Bully Ray slides into the ring behind Muta, clobbering him across the back with a steel chain! The big man gloats to the crowd as they shower him with boo's. Bully swaggers over to Muta, who is slowly trying to get back to his feet as he then crouches down beside him, yelling in his face that this is his house! Bully picks Muta up and tosses him off into the ropes but on the rebound, Muta ducks Bully's clothesline attempt before then surprising him with the green mist into the face when Ray turned around! Bully rolls out of the ring via under the bottom rope, leaving his hat and leather waistcoat inside the ring as he desperately tries to wipe the mist from his eyes. Back in the ring, Muta poses for the crowd as we cut to our first commercial break of the evening.
Commercial Break
A furious Bully Ray is in the backstage area with green mist now dried up on his face. He is storming around when Jeremy Borash appears for a word. Bully tells Muta to enjoy being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame whilst he can because this Sunday when they square off at Bound for Glory, he's going to end Muta's career once and for all!
Back inside The Joint, the music of Ethan Carter III blasts out as he is lead out to the ringside area with girlfriend Katrina on his arm. Carter psychs himself up as he enters the ring, leaving the announce team to wonder what exactly Carter is out here for. There is something in the ring but it is covered by a cloth sheet. Carter talks about his upcoming singles match against Jeff Jarrett this coming Sunday at Bound for Glory. He promises to exact some revenge over on Jarrett, who is the reason that his Aunt Dixie isn't around here anymore after Team Jarrett beat Team Dixie back at Lockdown in March. EC3 says that he realises Jarrett is getting on in life and not as young, jacked, tanned, handsome or rich as Carter is but he wants to make sure that Jeff is in fighting shape. Katrina removes the sheet from over the object in the centre of the ring, revealing a set of scales! Carter says that he's went to the trouble of arranging a weigh in ahead of their match as he knows Jarrett has been putting on the pounds. Carter removes his shirt and trousers, standing on the scales. Katrina reads his weight out as 225lbs ("of sheer muscle", apparently). Jeff Jarrett comes to the ring, not looking amused. He tells Carter that he's not here to play games and that he cannot wait to get his hands on him this Sunday. Carter tells Jarrett to save it and step on the scales. Katrina takes the microphone, running Jarrett down before he responds by calling her a tramp. She slaps him hard before attempting a second only for Jarrett to block it! He teases hitting the she devil but before he can, Carter floors Jarrett with a forearm to the side of the head! Carter puts the boots to Jeff but he fights back, and is able to send the millionaire nephew of Dixie Carter scrambling to the floor and up the ramp. Jarrett gets on the microphone and says that Carter needs to learn his place and show some respect. Jarrett wants to add the stipulation to this Sunday that the loser must become the winner's personal assistant! All fired up from being sent out of the ring, Carter yells into the microphone that he accepts and for Jarrett to enjoy his last few days as his own boss!
Commercial Break
2.) X-Division Champion, Kenny King and Low-Ki defeat Manik and Seiya Sanada. The X-Division has been chaotic as of late with no clear challenger for Kenny King's X-Division Champion and tonight was no different in this high-flying tag match. Taz noted mid-match that The Network added an X-Division gauntlet for King's title to this Sunday's Bound for Glory card. Despite Manik and Sanada teaming regularly and this being Low-Ki and Kenny's first time as a team, King and Ki pinned Manik and Sanada simultaneously after the Royal Flush and the Ki Krusher at the 6 minute mark.
After having their hands raised by the official, Low-Ki makes it known to Kenny that he is coming for the X-Division title belt this Sunday night in Tokyo as he taps the title plate before nodding his head.
"The It Factor" Bobby Roode is shown arriving to the arena when the cameraman catches up with him for his thoughts on Roode/Joe III tonight. Roode admits that they're equal because the first time around, Joe had him beat if it wasn't for the time limit draw. But the second time around, Roode was about to force Joe to submit until Magnus interfered. Roode says that tonight he's going to beat Joe before reclaiming the World Title this Sunday live on pay-per-view from Tokyo for the whole World to see!
Commercial Break
Jeff Hardy is in the back alongside Jeremy Borash. Hardy gives his thoughts on the upcoming Ladder match for a future TNA World Heavyweight Championship match. Jeff says that Aries has alot of balls to challenge him to a Ladder match, given that it is his for forte and his signature match. Jeff says that it doesn't matter to him who walks out of Bound for Glory as World Champion because he's coming for them regardless.
3.) Austin Aries defeats Sting via Countout. After returning to save Jeff Jarrett last week from James Storm, Sting had his first official match back since his return to Impact Wrestling a few weeks back. A decent showing from both Aries, who challenges Jeff Hardy this Sunday coming in a Ladder match for a future World Title shot, and Sting, who will square off against James Storm. Neither man was in control for long as they exchanged it throughout. James Storm, Sting's opponent in 72 hours, appeared on the screen trash talking everything that Sting done. It turned out that the footage was pre-taped as Storm sneak attacked Sting at ringside when the referee was at a 7 count, unbeknownst to the official, all whilst Storm continued talking on the big screen. Aries made it back into the ring before the 10 count, earning himself a countout victory here over "The Icon"!
Storm crouches down beside Sting, getting in his face, telling him that he made a mistake crossing the "Cowboy". He isn't finished there as Storm ends up tossing Sting head first into the ring post before taking a huge swig out of his beer bottle as we then cut away to a commercial.
Commercial Break
Magnus comes down to the ring in a suit with two Las Vegas showgirls on either side of him and his TNA World Heavyweight Championship for his in-ring interview with Mike Tenay. Once seated in the ring in his director's chair, Mike Tenay goes to get the interview started when Magnus stops him, demanding that Tenay thank Magnus for taking the time out of his busy schedule to sitdown with him and to treat him with more respect. The interview is basically all about how great Magnus thinks he is. He says that he isn't one bit phased in regards to defending his title against not one but two former TNA World Heavyweight Champions in their own right as he is the longest reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion for a reason with a reign tallying 294 days and counting. Magnus says that he is not only the greatest wrestler in all of Impact Wrestling--but the World also and what better platform for the World to see that than in Tokyo at the legendary Korakuen Hall. Magnus wraps things up by saying that he's going to fly into Tokyo in his private jet as the champ and he will fly back out again still the champ. Magnus then poses with his title belt for an entourage of photographers positioned outside the ring, snapping their cameras like mad at him. Magnus then orders Tenay to hold the middle rope down for him as he exits the ring before being escorted up the ramp with the showgirls on either arm and his title belt hanging over his shoulder. "What an arrogant S.O.B... but he can certainly back it up in the ring", notes Taz.
Commercial Break
4.) The School of Hard Knox (Hanson, Knux & Rebel) defeat Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian) and Velvet Sky. Entertaining mixed tag match here as Rebel made her in-ring debut opposite a former Knockouts Champion in Velvet Sky, who was without her Beautiful People teammate Madison Rayne tonight. Daniels and Kazarian continue to maintain their cocky and arrogant heel personas but come across as babyfaces as the crowd absoutely loved the pair. TNA World Tag Team Champions, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, who will defend their titles this Sunday against both Bad Influence and the School of Hard Knox, could be seen keeping an eye on this one in the back on a monitor. Kazarian took out Knux, Hanson and teammate Daniels with a suicide dive. Rebel, who looked really green, then pinned Sky after a spinning heel kick.
Commercial Break
Jeremy Borash is standing by with Samoa Joe backstage. Joe says that he and Roode are no strangers to one another and he's beaten him in the past. Tonight will be no exception as he beats Bobby in the centre of the ring before going on to Tokyo where at Bound for Glory this Sunday he will beat both Magnus and Roode to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
A video package promotes The Great Muta's forthcoming induction into TNA's Hall of Fame by "The Icon" Sting.
5.) Ultimate Tiger defeats Bram (with Birch) via Referee Decision Reversal. Mexico's Ultimate Tiger was insanely over here tonight in Vegas as he pulled off a series of aerial manoeuvres on England's Bram, totally knocking Bram off track. Despite this, Tiger ended up spending too much time getting the crowd behind him as Bram took him down with a lariat to the back of the head before picking him apart for the remainder of the match, ultimately scoring the win after a devastating Impaler DDT. Post-match, The Progeny both attack Tiger in a bid to send a message to Gunner and Abyss, eventually forcing the official to reverse his decision!
With Ultimate Tiger now announced as the winner by Christy Hemme due to the referee reversing his original decision, both Bram and Birch snap! They back the official into the corner, grabbing ahold of him by the collar until suddenly Abyss and Gunner hit the ring, taking the fight to The Progeny! All 4 men exchange shots before Gunner and Abyss are able to send The Progeny crashing down to the floor outside!
Commercial Break
Back from the commercials and The Anti-Knockout's, Alyssa Flash and Knockouts Champion, Ivelisse are half-way down the rampway. Ivelisse gets on the mic, asking for Awesome Kong to come down to the ring and join them. A few seconds pass and eventually Kong does make an appearance. Once she's in the ring, Alyssa tells her that last week they took it upon themselves to extend an olive branch to Kong, offering her a spot in the Anti-Knockout's alongside them. Ivelisse wants to know what Kong's answer is but she doesn't respond when the microphone is put in her face. Ivelisse seems to be annoyed at Kong refusing to answer as she begins to get in her face, telling her that she's only going to ask her one more time and that Kong should feel honoured to even be asked! She goes to extend the mic out when suddenly Kong grabs ahold of the Knockouts Champ by the throat! She drops the mic before Flash goes after Kong but she is shoved aside before Kong then tosses Ivelisse over the top rope and down to the floor by the throat! The bell rins and we have a match on our hands!
6.) Awesome Kong defeats Alyssa Flash (with Knockouts Champion, Ivelisse). This Knockout's bout was not as one-sided as you would think as Flash, who is probably the biggest Knockout on the active roster putting Kong aside given that Lei'D Tapa is MIA, was easily Kong's toughest opponent since her return 3 weeks back. Alyssa seemed to overestimate her strength as she went for a scoop slam at one point which completely backfired as Kong ended up flattening her. That was the beginning of the end for Flash as instead of Kong covering, she pulled Alyssa to her feet by the hair before finishing her off with an Implant Buster for the victory.
Kong gets to her feet and has her hand raised by the official as the Knockouts Champ, Ivelisse screams down a microphone to cut Kong's music off. Ivelisse is sick of Kong and if she wants a shot at her then what better place to do it than in Kong's hometown of Tokyo with the title on the line! Ivelisse reiterates that she is not afraid of Kong before tossing the mic to the floor and holding her title above her as Kong watches on.
Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe are shown making their way to ringside in a split screen. They are in action right after this!
Commercial Break
TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus comes out and joins Mike Tenay and Taz on commentary.
7.) Samoa Joe defeats Bobby Roode. With just 72 hours until both Roode and Joe go at it alongside World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus for the big one, they squared off in tonight's main event in Sin City in their 3rd encounter in recent weeks. A great match as one would expect from the two guys here. Roode was determined to pick up the win here, pulling out all of the stops to leave victorious. Despite a valiant effort from "The It Factor", he needed to do more than a Roode Bomb here to pick up the win as Joe was able to counter his attempt at a second Roode Bomb, slipping out of the hold and syncing in the Coquina Clutch which Roode passed out in at the 9 minute mark!
Magnus leaves the announcer's booth and makes his way over to the top of the rampay where he holds his World Title high. Joe invites Magnus into the ring and the champ teases it by storming down the ramp and hopping onto the apron but he hops off again, forcing the crowd to boo him. Magnus backs up the ramp holding his title high once again when suddenly Roode appears behind him and tosses the champ back into the ring! Magnus attempts to fight with Joe but the Samoan submission machine takes the upperhand, laying Magnus out with the Muscle Buster! Joe doesn't get long to celebrate as Roode slides into the ring, scooping Joe up onto his back and this time he was able to connect with a big Roode Bomb! Roode picks up the World Title, staring intently at it before dropping it over the chest of Magnus and exiting the ring.

TNA Impact Wrestling: Thursday 4th September 2014...Alright, let's get ourselves back into this. Congratulations on the Spotlight victory by the way, it was well deserved; you're very consistent with this diary in recent months and it's always good to see. Magnus kicking off the show was very unique to see given the lack of emphasis on him in recent months - always a good thing, honestly. He's the TNA World Heavyweight Champion and you need to give him enough credibility to make it seem like the winner of the Bound For Glory Series won't walk all over him and predictably win the title at Bound For Glory next month. Bobby Roode's interruption was expected, and I do like the backtracking to earlier in the year - it's a nice long-term story arc that's recycling itself and it's very tidily done. The way that this promo was worded may have either spoiled the final stage of the BFG Series with Roode's motivation for winning - or extended their angle even longer, perhaps with Magnus costing Roode's chances of winning. Nice segment which extended to involve Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle - and I love that each of the BFG Series contenders are coming back to haunt Magnus. On second thought, this BFG Series finalé could go either way. Tajiri is on television, yay! I hope we see a fair bit of him, honestly. I'm surprised TNA never tried to get him involved with the company sooner - as in, years ago. DJ Z isn't really going anywhere so this served as a nice establishment of what Tajiri is about and who he is: Bully Ray's beef with the Great Muta never stopped confusing me. It just felt like an awkward mix. No ECW references with Tajiri and Bully's exchanges? Hmm, this isn't very TNA 2014 of you. Ivelisse with a victory over Taryn Terrell to retain the TNA Women's Knockout Championship was fine, I have to wonder how far her title reign will go on for though: it kind of feels like you need some more talent to mix up an otherwise repetitive series of feuds and matches, though. Santana is someone I'm not familiar with - but it appears she is entering the fold, so that should be intriguing I suppose. Abyss just got miles more interesting by turning on Birch and Bram, so this is where this feud finally picks up. Surely it won't be a handicap situation, though? I'm wondering if Abyss will be bringing an ally with him to a potential Bound For Glory match. Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy would be a good match, and it worked as a first-hour main event, with Joe interestingly getting a foot forward in the BFG rankings. Out of the four however, I can't see Joe winning the BFG Series as much as Angle, Hardy or Roode. Already seemingly having trouble in paradise with Ethan Carter III, Rockstar Spud and Katrina's alliance - okay, I never really got interested in this angle anyway. And so the Carter and Spud rivalry begins...hopefully you do this rivalry justice, it was my favourite feud in TNA at the start of the year. By the end of 2015 I could see EC3 being TNA World Heavyweight Champion in this for sure. Really hoping you do this angle justice and give it a lot of longevity. Hanson and Knux getting involved taking out Bad Influence & the Wolves in their non-title match indicates that you will be going with the Aces & Eights alumnus challenging Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards for the TNA World Tag Team Championship, or alternatively we'll be seeing Bad Influence also get involved, making a Bound For Glory match a three-way tag team bout. Unless we see anymore tag teams enter the fold? Low-Ki beating Seiya Sanada was fine, it would have been a solid spotfest to say the least. Good exposure for Sanada here. Low-Ki's next for Kenny King's TNA X-Division Championship? I'll bite - I'm just wondering what Sanada will do at Bound For Glory in Japan. Silly Wolves, you just fought, you can't wrestle again when the show's almost over! Next week sounds fine - I like the subtle, tiny involvements of Jeff Jarrett as a neutral authority figure: very refreshing. And finally, Bobby Roode defeating Kurt Angle was fine, a solid main event here. Roode still has Bound For Glory Series victor written all over him, so I think he'll be beating Samoa Joe in the finals of the BFG Series, probably next week I assume? Also enough breathing space to give the loser of the finals, Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle other angles to involve themselves with in the build-up to the big show in Japan. Not a bad show, things are picking up now.
TNA Impact Wrestling: Thursday 11th September 2014...Wowee, you let Kurt Angle's contract run out? Very surprising, and sacrificial: but given TNA's budget cut period in 2014, I guess you had to let somebody go, and I'm glad it was Angle - who has done everything over and over in TNA, there's almost nothing left for him to do here. Alright, this is the final night of the Bound For Glory Series - and don't get me wrong, it's had a good story arc with the final four members having a reason to want to win this BFG Series and face Magnus at Bound For Glory next month with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on the line: however, I do dislike the BFG Series because of the lack of emphasis on the champion Magnus for a large majority of the past few months; and also because the BFG Series disables the freedom to allow for great storylines and instead features basic matches with sometimes random stipulations involved. Hopefully next year you could possibly find a way around that to truly make this diary your own. First off, good to see Ultimate Tiger with a win against Chris Sabin and Manik - that's a pretty good win for Tiger, who I don't think we've seen enough of in the past couple of months. Santana whoever she is (I could use a little bio background here), seems to be getting more focus on her since turning on Taryn Terrell last week, and it appears that this is obviously the case, beating Gail Kim tonight. I am wondering where this angle is going, as TNA Women's Knockout Champion Ivelisse nor Alyssa Flash is involved with this. It appears to be all on Kim, Terrell and Santana with the end result possibly being Terrell against Santana. Magnus' segment backstage reminded viewers about what went down in the past with both Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode - but I hope he has more focus in this show other than this segment. Bully Ray setting up Tajiri? It's almost like these two haven't known each other for the past sixteen years. Kind of strange, and I think if you wanted to make someone look gullible, especially from the WRESTLE-1 camp, it should have been a younger individual than Tajiri. Tajiri appeared very "young boy" in this segment. Rockstar Spud's promo was nice, calling out Ethan Carter III and Katrina - although I'm not too sure that this is the right way to begin their feud after the attack last week. EC3 and Katrina then beating Spud should set up for Spud's revenge down the line though; however I'm conflicted because we basically just saw what should have been a bigger match rather than an impromptu match - between two fresh rivals. Nonetheless I expect this angle to continue. I'm just not sure about this direction. Jeff Jarrett acting out? Not so neutral authority figure of him anymore, eh? I think you could be preparing for Jarrett against EC3 at Bound For Glory, which would logically be the next big step in Carter's progressively impressive TNA tenure. I just wonder where Spud fits into this. Nice hype promo from Samoa Joe stating his case for the finals tonight with Bobby Roode - and very classy to acknowledge on the air Kurt Angle's resignation from the company. Austin Aries defeating Brian Cage was a big surprise, as I feel like as much as this helped Aries, it hurt an otherwise quite dominant Cage. I think that Cage could be a big asset to TNA in 2015 without a doubt. Especially when it was a clean win - very strange actions after the match from Aries, who appears to be turning to set his focus on Jeff Hardy, which is a booster for him even moreso. The fan getting attacked is a great way to represent Aries' actions as symbolic, too. However it would have made more sense if Cage had won here, boosting Aries' frustrations setting up the heel turn. I suspect we will hear more next week. Interesting premise, though. Bobby Roode with the hype promo made the main event look as prestigious and important as it should be: however the length of this promo kind of made me feel even more than Roode should win given his reasons and motivation. Knux and Hanson with the win made sense to set up the predicted Bound For Glory TNA World Tag Team Championship match - although I really hate challengers beating champions to set up this kind of thing. Very lazy storytelling every time - at least you had already set this angle up in weeks prior to this. I do think Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards will retain next month, though. And here comes Bad Influence to spice this up even more, probably making this a three-way tag team match with the titles at stake? This could make things slightly more unpredictable, and it gets Christopher Daniels and Kazarian on the show, so I'm all for it. Very hype-heavy show, it feels like it's gone on longer than a two hour show should have so far. Good angle with Birch, Bram and Abyss setting up the first Monster's Ball match of what I predict will be a series with both members of the Progeny. I think the Progeny after this angle could be the ones to take the TNA World Tag Team Championships, to be honest. I'm hoping for some spicy hype next week with Abyss and the Progeny, though. I am still wondering what your intentions for the Bound For Glory undercard are. And lastly...oh boy. I'm very split on the premise of a time limit draw here: on one hand, it was hyped so much that it should have had a winner, and I feel like it would have made most sense to see Bobby Roode win the 2014 BFG Series to challenge long-term rival Magnus, who beat him for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in the first place. On the other hand, it extends this to another deciding final match potentially, or otherwise sets up a three-way match at Bound For Glory with Joe, Roode and Magnus involved. My problem is that doesn't feel special enough for a BFG main event (granted the Bound For Glory main event in real life didn't feel close to important anyway); it's just very hard to think clearly about this, because I feel like this could have damaged the potential that Bound For Glory had prior to this. I'm just hoping you settle this logistically. I don't think it was wise to leave the live audience hanging either, no matter the intended effect. I suppose it is heat on the chickensh*t heel champion, though. Overall, a solid show; but the hype and the resulting execution of the main event hurt things. Some booking decisions I didn't agree with either.
TNA Impact Wrestling: Thursday 18th September 2014...So, we're now in San Francisco, quite a strange setting for TNA isn't it? I don't really recall them ever previously taping a show here in their ten year history. And we're live, which could make things even more interesting. Chris Sabin, Manik, Alex Shelley and...Manik again? (Assuming that's a typo and you mean Seiya Sanada?) defeating Kenny King, Low-Ki, Ultimate Tiger and Tajiri was an ideal opening contest which could have been a messy, messy spotfest. But it was exciting and boosted the tapings crowd early on into a live show segment, so no complaints. I'm still unsure about the Bully Ray and Tajiri angle, but it doesn't seem like it will last too long given that we are now three and a half weeks away from Bound For Glory. I see this strange pairing as a stepping stone for Bully's true intentions in getting to Great Muta. Still don't think that Tajiri is right for the role in the middle, though. Tajiri getting heat on Bully was fun, however - meanwhile, Chris Sabin teasing contention to Kenny King's TNA X-Division Championship opens up another door. I thought Low-Ki would be the one to challenge given his win two weeks back. Unless you end up having everybody in this match involved in the eventual pay-per-view match? Magnus addressing the result of the Bound For Glory Series' finalé last week was much needed, although I'm not sure where he goes from here - probably a three-way match with both Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode much to my chagrin. This angle did good for Magnus' character, who you're rebuilding after a lack of focus throughout the past few months. A rematch has been set for Roode and Joe tonight - I bet it won't receive half the hype it did last week. Then a good win for the TNA World Heavyweight Champion against the returning Curry Man - although I assume Christopher Daniels will be featured additionally later on in the TNA World Tag Team Championship's segment. I sure love the Cloverleaf submission. I feel like Austin Aries' attack on one of his fans should have warranted Jeff Hardy to get on the mic in the ring, calling out Aries. Instead, uncharacteristically we get him issuing a challenge, which works as well I do suppose. Samoa Joe with a hype segment - the intensity should be up in tonight's main event given the annoying result of last week. Abyss then beating Birch in the Monster's Ball match served its' purpose, and it's nice and embarrassing for Birch after months of harrassing Abyss and leading him into a losing streak. Good irony. Gunner getting involved gets him involved with something, and as expected I think this will be setting up for a tag team Monster's Ball match in a few weeks at Bound For Glory. I suspect an explanation will come later tonight or next week for why Gunner saved Abyss via promo. Sting's return was nice, although honestly I feel like he should have returned earlier considering that Bound For Glory, TNA's biggest pay-per-view is in three weeks. It should have been boosted as more prestigious than him randomly appearing this late into the build. James Storm's television return was good, I can't even remember the last time I saw him on here. It appears that this sets up a feud which will probably appear rushed given the short time distance between now and the pay-per-view. It's something for both men to do however - and I suspect Storm will get the upperhand next time they meet. Ethan Carter III's angle was nice, and...oh, you rushed out another match with EC3 and Rockstar Spud. That's a shame, but clearly this isn't your focus here. It did boost the tension between Carter and Jeff Jarrett though, which is good and may be my favourite angle built for Bound For Glory so far. I guess somebody had to end the streak of Carter's, but it could come back to bite Spud on the ass following Bound For Glory - or even before then. Nice announcement with Jarrett announcing him against EC3 at BFG as expected; I suspect Carter will win to give him yet another big win in his career, though. I'm also now kind of weary of who will replace Jarrett as the authority figure for TNA. It's a good sendoff if Jarrett is leaving to focus on Global Force Wrestling though. Bad Influence and the Wolves with some kind of truce? As expected, Christopher Daniels with the dual roles, which is amusing. Taryn Terrell defeating Santana was expected to give Terrell her momentum back, although once again we see no Alyssa Flash or more importantly, TNA Women's Knockout Champion Ivelisse. Quite confusing situation, here. Maybe it will be addressed next week now that Taryn has settled her business with Santana. Oh okay, Awesome Kong's back! That's definitely a gamechanger, and now I'm intrigued what happens with the Knockouts division leading into Bound For Glory more than I was before. Such a boost to the division. Ah so, TNA Impact Wrestling is back to being a live show eh? Ambitious, I wonder what the attendance figures will be like...And lastly, another bullsh*t finish with Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode ending thanks to Magnus' involvement. It puts more heat on Magnus, even if it damages any chance of Magnus retaining the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in three weeks time. It's adding to the angle, however at the same time this would really annoy the San Francisco crowd and hurt the trust factor between TNA and its' depleting fanbase. At this point, viewers would be growing more irate - and not necessarily because of the time limit draw or Magnus' cheap character, but because it's TNA falsely promoting and then not delivering. I suppose it's realistic in that regard. It's controversial, and it could be seen as an enticing angle - but for me it's frustrating, and would be bad for business. As expected, it will be a three-way main event for the title - which is an anticlimactic result to the several month long BFG Series to not have one singular winner - and the main event really needs more prestige now that this has been booked. It doesn't feel like a main event match, and it does feel like one of the challengers will definitely be walking out as champion. More replies coming at another time.
