Have anyone ever kind of thought that getting women wrestling figures were sort of like buying girl toys? I'm a divas/KO collector but sometime I wonder what makes it so much (if any) different from buying any random girl toys?
Take of them belts and there isn't really that much different. They both come with skirts, sweat pants, etc... I know this is a Jakks forum, but the elite Miss Elizabeth with her cutesy outfit look as close to Barbie as one would get. I don't know I just find it funny that grown man like myself collect female figures and yet won't look at other girl toys.
Maybe it just me but have you guys ever wonder that? Though I guess the same can be said for male figures aka Ken but it less in common.
I don't know it just something to think about.

That's probably part of the reason why Diva figures tend to be short-packed. I'd imagine there's plenty or kids that think or any female action figure as a girl's toy. Personally, I like 'em... Of course, I was also known to play with Barbie dolls when I was little, so buying a girl action figure doesn't even phase me a bit. To me, cool toys are cool toys. Doesn't matter if they're in the girl or boy isles.

Also I like playhouse but it was only for girls or seen as for girls. I mean who here really hasn't even play the Sims (any version)? Plus girl toys tend to be better made. Most boy toys couldn't even stand up straight or couldn't even hold any weapon without falling off. As a kid, girls toys was more to my liking as it was creative where as boy toys were just BOOM BOOM, ACTION, carnage, etc... Thought those early hot wheels stunt ramp were really bomb!

Interesting topic. I always said that wwe should try their hand at barbie. Maybe mattel could make it exclusive to rsc or matty collector. There is a huge market for barbie dolls. Especially women like trish or lita. I'm sure some would disagree but a I always wondered why they wouldn't at least try.

The day I start caring what other people think about me, is the day I need to leave this world.

They are just more characters that are part of the toy line just like the guys. I have never had a problem getting Divas. Same as any female characters from GI Joe, Star Wars, Marvel, DC or anything else I collected.

I only ever got the Lucha Melina fig, but I saw nothing off about people who bought them. I give a buddy a hard time about it because that is almost all he buys and is willing to pay obnoxious prices for some of them, but hey, it is his choice to do that.

I think we're starting to see those gender barriers break down, but still not quite there yet. Ever notice how Hunger Games figures are in the girl aisles at toysrus? As if a boy couldn't enjoy a movie with a strong heroine. And if the boys like My Little Pony, more power to them. I don't even flinch or Nat an eye when I buy knockouts and Divas. Don't care what people think and if they said it to my face the manager is coming out to fire their ass before I'm done.

It just an interesting concept that I have observe. Not sure why but I wouldn't buy every single male wrestlers but I would for ever single female wrestlers even if I have no idea who they are or what their finishing move is.
