I feel like this question must have been asked before but I haven't been able to find the answer to my specific question. I want to swap some parts to make my ideal Shawn Michaels figure. I love the red pants on his Royal Rumble Heritage figure but I want to swap it with the torso on his elite 19 figure. I have seen plenty of posts about swapping torsos/legs between 2 elites or between 2 basics but I don't see anything in regards to putting an elite torso on basic hips/legs. Is this possible?
I have never cracked any figures before so I'm relatively new to this. Anyone have any tips on how to make this work?
Again, sorry if this has been posted before.

Why not just do a paint job on an elite?

My painting skills aren't too hot. I love the pants on the basic RR HBK I just prefer the elite torso. I figured a swap would be easier.

I saw videos about soaking the figures in hot water and dying a razor blade to crack the torso. All the videos discuss swapping elite parts with other elite parts. I haven't seen anything about mixing basic legs and hips with an elite torso/upper body.

Yeah, I'm not sure. You might end up having to superglue the legs to the torso

i did this with macho punk. put elite upper body on the basic legs. they don't really fit, so i ended up having to super glue it.
i only display mine, so i'm fine with it. i'm not that advanced with painting yet either, so it works for the time being.
as far as cracking torsos ... patience, boiling water and time.

Someone on here (Dean i think) converted that HBk figure into an elite. You already have both the E19 HBK and the RRH one, so here's what you'll need:
Legends Ricky Steamboat Shawn Michaels Royal Rumble '95 decals from Dean/Best Decals in the World
Basically; you crack open the E19 HBK torso and put it on the Legends Steamboat legs. Boil and swap the lower legs from E19 HBK onto the Steamboat as well as the arms, head, and kneepads from the RRH '95 figure. Then, just apply the decals and voila. Zero painting and will look much, much better than an Elite torso on Basic legs. Hope that helps.

I'm thinking you could buy the wm hbk. Acetone the logos. Buy deans decals n put em on.
