Didn't he always say he was going to retire at 35?
Good for Punk. He's happy.

Wow really upset to here this. My username is now insignificant. Well as long as he's happy with his life right now. May the best in the world live forever. My favorite is now officially gone

Man, whether he's retired or he comes back later on, I doubt it would change anything. Wrestling is good the way it is now.

Didn't he say in his WWE documentary that he does NOT see him self wrestling 5 years down the road?

yes because everyone knows once a wrestler says they are retired it means for good. Just ask Terry Funk

I'd appreciate it if he at least stepped in the ring and addressed the "WWE Universe" personally.

YES! YES! YES! Maybe now the fanboys and crowds will shut the hell up about him coming back every week. I could never stand the guy, though I can acknowledge he can put on one hell of a show in the ring. If he never talked maybe there would have been a chance of me liking him, but there is no loss to me in my book. He's still one of the best on the mic in the last decade

The best part about this entire thing is the wiffle ball with Bill Murray part.

Obviously "retired" is a loose term...
but at least its finally something from his own mouth about what is going on.
i just dont understand it. he shouldnt have gone away like that. guy deserved to come out and have a "final moment" if he really is quitting the business. i just don't like the fact that Punk's last time in a wrestling ring was being eliminated in a royal rumble he should have won. and then literally never appearing or being mentioned on television again. it just doesn't seem RIGHT

No one ever really retires in wrestling.

Fair enough, his choice. He was an awesome wrestler.

Yeah at this point I don't even care anymore. If Punk comes back to entertain the fans, cool. If he decides to just do his own thing that's fine too. There's other talent that needs to be pushed now anyway.

No surprise, but he really ended his career in an odd way.

I was at the point of not needing him to say it, I felt that it was game over for Punk.
