From what I've seen on here, Wreddit, and Wrestling_Forum, many posters have automatically written off Adam Rose for the fact that he's playing a comedy character and he isn't Sami Zayn. Saw a few random homophobic comments about him, too. Sami Zayn and even Neville might be better overall packages than Rose, and heck, even I'll admit that they are since they are younger, more interesting in the ring, and simply have more potential due the the lack of outlandishness in their gimmicks. Rose is (almost) 35 and is quite obviously a comedy character who probably won't see even the US title. I'd much rather, though, see WWE take their time with Zayn and debut him carefully with long-term plans (unlike Xavier Woods [yuck] and Alexander Rusev, who they sat on for 3 months after the rumble and then decided to change his name and add the cheap Russian stuff]. Rose has been waiting down in Florida for over 4 years, and this character brings a couple quick laughs and t-shirt sales to the roster. Also, as a kid, characters like The Oddities, Too Cool, Godfather, Val Venis, Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry, etc, had a place in my heart. Those characters were all a bit silly, and they clearly weren't going to be main eventers. Nevertheless, they had their place and were, to many folks, entertaining. Maybe some people think they've outgrown comedy characters, and yes, I also cringe at Khali segments and the stuff they were doing with Emma/Santino, but comedy characters are always going to have a place in wrestling. To steal a line from that 9/11/13 NXT practice promo... I think a lot of fans refuse to invest in him "because [his] name is not Seth Rollins... or Dean Ambrose... or Antonio Cesaro." He is, instead, a guy who busted his ass over in Africa for 10 years and busted his ass over here for another 4. He went from being "generic cocky good looking guy #9001" to the deranged poacher/mercenary, and he played that character perfectly. When he switched to Adam Rose, I immediately wrote him off, but dang, in my opinion, he plays the character perfectly, and he has a fun and addictive entrance/theme song. So, yeah, different strokes for different folks; some people might just not like him, and that's cool. He might not be your cup of tea. Also, yes, I realize that I'm probably going to get written off as "HURR DURR UR A ROSE MARK," but I think that people need to give him a freaking chance. I, too, like Adam Rose. Hell yeah to everything that was stated in this post. In wrestling, you need a balance of serious and comedy. I was skeptical about Adam Rose in the beginning. Now that I gave it a chance, I love what I see. His gimmick is refreshing to see. It takes years for these guys to find their niche in the industry. Steve Austin said it best on his podcast, everybody needs to find their niche and run with it. Ray Leppan has seemingly found his niche with Adam Rose. He doesn't need to be a Cesaro, a Seth Rollins, and even a Daniel Bryan. I enjoy seeing gimmicks that are so fun to watch and keeps my eyes glued to the tele. "Its party time, all the time." Whoever came up with that is a genius. To me, Adam Rose is close from being a complete character. Let him grow and giving him the chance would benefit him big time. The problem with gimmicks like this is that they require a lot of work. We need to see backstage segments and pre-tapes. WWE did their best with Rose prior to his debut. We need to see more stuff on the bus!
WWE tends to get complacent once a Superstar debuts. They have short attention spans. They move on to the next guy without fully establishing the last guy (see Fandango).

Adam Rose is a fresh take on a tried & true style of persona. The lovable in-ring comic. His match with Jack Swagger yesterday had me cackling like a child at their first live card.
If he keeps up the good work, I have no qualm nor quarrel with the man, who is the closest thing we have to the Human Orchid besides Fandango & Tyler Breeze.

I was sad when they changed Kruger's gimmick, but I can't deny it's worked out. I'm a rose bud for sure.

I think the gimmick is fun but I don't care for him in the ring.

I'm still on the lemon side of things, but who knows, maybe I'll turn into a rosebud. He's just alright with me.

I was a fan since watching him on NXT which is rare because there are few on there that really grab me. He has a great gimmick and seems to have natural charisma. I just hope they dont ruin him. He should never intentionally be a comedy character either. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

I like Adam Rose. I like the atmosphere he brings with him.
BUT, while I hate to be "that guy", I liked Leo Kruger much, much more.
I think the Kruger character had main event potential and I don't think Adam Rose does.
Adam Rose may be a US Champion, but, unless a serious change is made to his character, he will never be WWE Champion.

I love the gimmick. He's fun, but at the same time he's not an all-out comedy character. We've seen his vicious size against Swagger before. Would this get him to be a main event player? No, honestly. And that's okay, not everybody is going to be a main eventer in their careers. I can see Rose as a top mid-carder and going for the US/IC titles and as long as there's nothing to derail his momentum (Fanadango concussion) then I'm sure he'll do fine.
