I used to watch both quite often. Good stuff! If you liked them then you should check out the F4 one, at least the 2nd Season. It's easily as good as the Spiderman show.

X-Men is one of the best cartoons of all time. Nothing will trump 80s cartoons, but X-Men was like it stepped right out of the 80s.

What a coincidence, I was just watching both X-Men & Spiderman just yesterday. I remember watching all the Marvel shows as a kid, even the Silver Surfer. I feel what stood out that still kind of holds up today is the way the shows were maturely written.
It definitely makes me appreciate these shows more, especially seeing as they don't really have much, if anything (other than maybe Adventure Time) these days, with kids shows, that are really worth watching.

The Spider-Man show is my all time favorite superhero work of art. I have a ton of the toybiz figs. To me that show is how Spider-Man should be. I was so confused as to what the Sinister Six was because in the cartoon they were the Insidious Six. The venom saga is freaking amazing. I really wish there was another season. I grew up on the reruns so I always thought there was going to be more because he HAD to find Mary Jane with Madame Web

Love my 90s Marvel Toons(80s ones too) and have them all on DVD
X-Men: what's left to be said? ESSENTIAL viewing. My only gripe is that I wish "Pryde Of the X-men" had been included as an extra on one of the DVDs....I LOVE that cancelled pilot.
Spider Man: Also just SO good. Nothing left to be said.....Blade? DD? and the best version of the Lizard attempted? not to mention the ace adaptation of the Venom saga
The Incredible Hulk: Season 1? Brilliance....really & truly. I think very highly of it.....Iron man, Thor, Sasquatch, Doom, Ghost Rider all getting episodes? greatness. Also getting Dean Wormer from Animal House to voice Ross? Genius. Season 2 IMO was a step backwards. She Hulk was included for the girls....and unfortunately that changed the dynamic for the show.
Iron Man: its the reverse of Hulk. Season 2 was awesome and season 1 suffers for me because its the same villainy in every episode. But season 2 gets him out on his own and adapts Armour Wars too.
Fantastic Four: Brilliant. Doom(multiple), Galactus(multiple), Surfer, Sub mariner, Inhuman's you name it they are in here. absolutely cracking.....and it improves greatly in the 2nd season.
Silver Surfer I haven't seen enough of to judge.....
Avengers: United We Stand was crippled by not being allowed to use the big 3 in any substantial way....lets face it lads nobody wanted to see an Avengers toon with Ant Man as the leader & main guy.

I was so confused as to what the Sinister Six was because in the cartoon they were the Insidious Six. The network forbid the use of the word sinister.......made terribly confusing by the same network allowing X-men to have a villain called Sinister used quite often. But Spidey had more restrictions from Fox than X-Men. For instance Spidey wasn't allowed punch anybody under any circumstances.

I did watched the X-Men and really enjoyed it. Spider-Man I liked but I didn't get to watch many episodes. The rest I don't think I ever watched. Maybe a couple Iron Man episodes.

Yeah I'm gonna get the DVDs I'm missing so I can rewatch all of it. I still need the Silver Surfer, Hulk and I'll probably get the Avengers one too. It's a big shame that they didn't manage to get the X-Men in the Avengers show as it may have given the show at least some value. They'd planned to do a cross over in S2 but it never got one. What's great about the X-Men is that basically every major x-men character got a good role in at least one episode. Iceman, Colossus, Dazzler, Banshee, Nightcrawler, Sunspot, Longshot etc were all in great episodes. Off the top of my head, the only ones who weren't were Shadowcat (which is understandable considering Jubilee filled her only role) and Thunderbird. I remember being shocked when I saw Blade for the first time outside of the Spiderman show because it never crossed my mind that he was black in it.

After finding out what Thunderbird looked like, I'm pretty sure Thunderbird appeared in a few episodes, but as a background character. I'm sure he was one of the characters in the prison episode, which was Cable's first appearance & I'm pretty sure he's in right at the end of the intro, you know where the characters run into each other before the "X-Men" logo.

That was Warpath's original design. Thunderbird wore his headband on the outside, Warpath on the inside, and if memory serves Warpath was the one in the Genosha eps. Bingo..... Thunderbird does however appear in one of the Spider Man & His Amazing Friends X-Men episodes. Also heres the "Pryde Of The X-men" episode which I love I must say...... it was a cancelled pilot for an X-show and I have to say I effin love it and watch it 5/6 times a year.Pisses me off mightily that it wasn't released on DVD

It's really good I absolutely love the team they selected (huge fan of Dazzler), it was pretty much perfect. I wish they'd release it on DVD too. I still can't believe that a pilot that didn't get a series picked up inspired such an amazing Arcade game. My brother told me that they cancelled the last episode of Robocop to raise the funds to make this pilot, and then the team ran into financial difficulties and cancelled everything they were working on, the only thing they didn't cancel was Muppet Babies. Yeh they gave Thunderbird a new power in the Spiderman show.

Spiderman was really hit or miss for me. Nothing could beat X-Men and Batman the Animated Series though.

x-men was good, hulk was unbearably dry, haven't properly explored the spider-man series except the vhs releases. batman takes the cake, i'm afraid, for 90s comic cartoons. then spawn and the maxx imo.

I disagree about Hulk but I LOVED the Spawn toon. why? It had Chapel. One of the main reason the Spawn movie was a miss for me......No Chapel deprived Spawn of his "Joker". Jessica Priest(ugh) was NO replacement for Chapel.

That X-Men arcade game was my life for a long time. We had our garage set up with the original machines for X-Men, Turtles and Simpsons, as well as a pool table, foosball table and dart board. We spent so many hours down there playing, it was awesome. x-men was good, hulk was unbearably dry, haven't properly explored the spider-man series except the vhs releases. batman takes the cake, i'm afraid, for 90s comic cartoons. then spawn and the maxx imo. I disagree about Hulk but I LOVED the Spawn toon. why? It had Chapel. One of the main reason the Spawn movie was a miss for me......No Chapel deprived Spawn of his "Joker". Jessica Priest(ugh) was NO replacement for Chapel. I watched Pryde again last night. It's so good, apart from the voice acting it's not far off being as good as the 90s pilot. It reminds me a lot of the first season of the 80s turtle show. Such a shame it didn't at least get a season. Also watched the first episode of Iron Man, I had no idea what was going on half the time. From what I've read S2 is almost not even the same show as S1 so I may just watch S2 first, and then go back to S1 afterwards.

Season 1 of Iron man follows the MOTU format.
Iron Man & his team vs Mandarin and his team EVERY episode. it gets boring quickly. Half the excitement for Batman TAS, Spidey, FF, X-men etc was who they were gonna be up against.
