The greatest technical wrestler ever. (Come at me, Bret Hart and Kurt Angle fans) Don't tell me....you just started watching in the past 5 years. I've been watching my whole life, and have seen literally every important match in the last 30 years, and a whole lot of unimportant ones too. I guarantee I know just as much if not more about this sport than you, and just because Daniel Bryan is newer than older guys, doesn't he isn't as good. He's been having the best matches in the world since 2005 if not earlier, and the people who did know who he was back then called him the best in the world, because it's true. Now, could you please jump off your nostalgia trip.

The most over guy since the Attitude Era (Come at me, Punk fans) I'd argue Punk was more over than Bryan, Bryan was only over because of the yes chant. You could argue that, but you'd be wrong. Crowd chants "Daniel Bryan" just as loud as they chant yes, and even if yes was the only reason, which it isn't, why does it matter? He's still more over. I didn't see crowds hijacking shows for Punk. (Other than Chicago, which failed miserably.)

He'd be remembered as a guy who beat the odds by winning the title in the main event of WrestleMania at the climax of the best "wrestler vs authority" story since Austin-McMahon.
I think there'd be a little bit of a Magnum TA vibe too, a career that got cut short before it reached the heights people thought it could have. We'd never know how Bryan would turn out as a champion, though we can quite safely assume he won't be a new Cena/Hogan/Austin/Rock anyway.
If he did have to retire but still had a good quality of life, I'd be happy for him. It's good to see guys getting out with their sanity intact. Edge, CM Punk, even Austin. I'm sure DB's had a couple of seven-figure years, or very close, and that could go a long way towards setting him and Brie up for life. Although maybe they'd have to start being less fussy about food at some point. He could make a good living setting up a wrestling school, too.

Because they are bored of whatever they are watching, they would just rather see Bryan or Ziggler.

Which generally sounds like "CM Punk....CM Punk.." Everybody goes quiet. Sure, there are the loud Chicago crowds, but other than that it really doesn't happen too much, and when it does it lasts all of 5 seconds. Now, could we please stop derailing this thread?

In the indies, one of the best.
WWE, he hasn't been there that long for me to say he is one of the greatest of all-time. So it all depends really.
No offense, but you make the oddest threads ever.

EVERYONE else on the planet that is a wrestling fan in the past 30 years will not even list Bryan in their top 10. Wifey and I think he sucks. All it is is dropkicks from him. I think he is boring.

Kick, kick, headbutt, running knee, dive outside, diving headbutt. That's every DB match in the E, this isn't RoH. He follows a very tight formula like Cena. I can't name you a memorable DB match he's had barring WM28/30

He does mostly dropkicks. I don't care if you HAVE seen every match for the past 30 years. I am going to say you never lived them. I was around during Watergate...Although I was very young. But still reading about it and seeing the movies All the president's men and Nixon could not POSSIBLY share with me the experience of living the scandel. Just because you watched a few Bret Hart DVD's or seen a few matches on youtube could not POSSIBLY know what the experience of seeing Bret Hart is. Bryan sucks. You only like him because you are a youngster yourself.

Watch him vs Wyatt at Royal Rumble Vs Cesaro from Raw last year Vs Cena from SummerSlam Vs Punk five or six times in 2012 Vs Orton from the last Raw of 2013 Vs Ziggler, all 3 from 2010. Vs Jericho, first NXT Vs Sheamus from Extreme Rules Vs Sin Cara, Cody Rhodes, Christian and a bunch more from SmackDown in 2011. Vs Rey Mysterio in 2012. And a hundred more.

Jericho was like a 3 minute match, Orton and him have no chemistry. The rest are fair but none of those were really memorable. Unless you're like a die hard fan.
