Two very popular and similar groups. Which one is your favorite and explain why? I'm going with One Republic.

Coldplay.
Over the years they have had some really awesome songs, so many to name including some of my favourite songs ever in Scientist, Clocks, Yellow etc.
One Republic are a fairly new group and obviously haven't had as man hits as Coldplay which also contributes to why I like Coldplay better.

OneRepublic. Hands down. Tedder's voice and songwriting abilities are incredible.

Coldplay and its not even close. Their body of work is great and they bring something new with each album. They've never put out a bad album and in my opinion have at least 3 fantastic ones (1,2,4). One Republic have been around for like a year, how could they possibly compete?

I enjoy more of their songs, the lyrics speak to me more. Many of Coldplay's songs sound ethereal and melancholy. As mentioned above, Coldplay has been around longer and has more of a fanbase, so I am going with the underdogs with this one.

They've hardly been around for a year , unless they haven't been mainstream over where you are until recently?

For me it's Coldplay. They really cover a wide range of genres. I have to admit that I haven't listened to a whole lot of Onerepublic so maybe it's similar like that but I am a big Coldplay fan.

OneRepublic by far. I've never been able to stand Coldplay...if their music was a colour, it'd be grey.

Their library is more varied than that of the average artist. Yellow is a world away from Every Teardrop is a Waterfall; The Scientist is nothing like A Sky full of Stars; Fix You doesn't sound at all similar to Viva La Vida. Its not like I picked obscure songs there either; every song mentioned was a major hit for the band.

Coldplay. They just have a wider selection of songs I enjoy. Great driving music. Love Clocks.

Coldplay.
'Yellow' has a special place in my heart, and songs like 'Fix You', 'Square One', 'The Scientist' and 'Paradise' are a joy to hear...

I'd choose Coldplay, but I enjoy both very much.
