Klay Thompson was doing jumping jacks on a shredded knee trying to get back out there and compete. LeBron James once quit on his team in a finals game because he was hot.If anyone here still has doubts who is tougher, it's because they dont wanna see it. Was that in 2014 when Miami couldnt handle the heat, blamed the lack of air conditioning in San Antonio (even though the Spurs played under the same conditions) and prime Lebron got taken to school by 39 year old Tim Duncan? Haha yes

Just as long as it isnt the Lakers, I dont care where he goes. Can we pretend Orlando is an option? ONly if we can say Phoenix is his second option at least you can say the Magic beat the champs in their opening Playoff game, I can't remember the last time Phoenix even looked like a threat to anybody. Anybody but the Lakers is ok with me man.

The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft, league sources tell ESPN.

But does the deal also include Lonzo's father? If it does, then it has bad trade written all over it.

Pelicans got ripped off. They are basically Jrue Holiday, Zion Williamson most likely and a bunch of Lakers lottery picks/busts.

They got less than their original offer at the deadline TBH I have no idea now what that trade included but the Lakers has #4 pick and then they get two other first rounders but I think we know unless injuries hit them they probably gonna be pretty low picks now. I just didn't think LA would give up much when they probably would've gotten him next year during free agency anyway but just like Toronto showed a move like this can win you a championship and I think depends on whatever Kawhi does this could put LA at the top of the league.

I honestly feel that the Lakers youngsters (now NO youngsters) are overhyped. Not terrible, but not franchise changing stars either. Ball has the highest ceiling, but that’s as the “modern-day Rajon Rondo” at best. Ingram was playing better before going down, but I see him developing into more of a complementary piece to a “big 3”. He’s still too skinny and inconsistent with his shot. And Hart is a 6th man. The 4th pick will be interesting. If Barrett somehow falls to them, he’s a great pairing with Zion. The other picks are likely later 1st round picks. Overall the Pelicans got the best deal possible, but mainly role players to surround a superstar or two. Hopefully Zion and whoever the #4 pick turn into studs and NO will be a title contender in a few years.

Objectively, Anthony Davis requesting a trade helped the Pelicans. It forced them to revamp the front office and get a training staff that actually specializes in basketball. It also, whether directly or not, helped them draft Zion Williamson. I enjoyed watching Anthony Davis play basketball and he seems like a good dude.
Subjectively I want him to fall as hard as anyone has ever failed.

Just like Wade, Bosh, Irving, and Love before him, I expect that AD's numbers will drop as he defers to the great one who "makes all the players around him better", which I say in quotes because history says otherwise.

What you gassin about? LeBron has carried every team he’s been on. None of those teams win anything without him. The evidence is there. That’s why those teams have sucked after he leaves them. Also, that’s why they’ve sucked when he’s forced to sit due to injury.

LeBron fan boys always have a habit of leaving that part out.

Well with a draft lottery every draft order is luck, but Davis being on a minute restriction and then not playing for the last month probably gave them a couple more losses which may or may not have made the difference. If nothing else, telling them he wanted to be traded kept Dell Demps from trading their first round pick for Kent Bazemore or something.
