Keep the 4 sided ring. It's not like going back to a harder, stiffer ring is going to solve any problems but tickle the older fans who still bother to watch the product. I want it back because it made TNA unique. The fact AAA had the six sided ring years before TNA notwithstanding, how does it make them unique? TNA is still a pro wrestling company putting on matches with the same rule set as everyone else. The shape of their ring shouldn't be what makes them stand out, it should be the product. re: the ring, though - It's not like MMA where Pride was unique because it was a ring whereas every other company is in a cage. A wrestling ring is a wrestling ring regardless of the shape just like a cage in MMA is a cage regardless if it has six, eight, or no sides. If they bring it back, cool. I hope everyone enjoys seeing it brought back. I'm just saying that I wouldn't bring it back.

I just don't see how the shape of the ring is gonna make a difference here. Don't get me wrong, it'll make the company stand out and garner some casual interests and probably draw some old fans back in. It obviously stands out and helps set them apart. But be real, a lot of the complaints about TNA don't come from the shape of the ring, they come from the booking and the writing and if that doesn't change, what good is changing the ring? That doesn't affect the product that much, that doesn't really help stop TNA from trying to ride WWE's coattails or losing talent because they're poorly managed. Once we get over the whole "wow, the ring is different' thing, we'll still be left with the same stuff that probably has left you cringing and claiming you'll never watch the product again.
So, whatever happens, I don't care, it's just a lame attempt to try and get some more viewers, without really addressing the problems with the company.

Sides don't matter, when they're still putting on the piss poor product they have been.

If they go back to 6, I'll watch one show to see if they can draw me back in. But I doubt they can based on the recent results I've read. How is EY still champ?

I voted 4.
I'll side with making the talent comfortable than visually appeasing the few fans they have left.

6 sides for me cuz it was stupid for Bischoff and Hogan to change it to 4. The only reason they did that is because they were trying to compete with WWE which failed.

Why do people seem to think that the ring is their biggest problem?

Well obviously the 6 sided ring will fix everything wrong with TNA.
So I voted 4.

The six-sided ring did help make TNA unique, and from an aesthetic standpoint, makes TNA stand out from WWE and other major promotions. However, the traditional four-sided ring is much safer than the six-sided ring because the six-sided ring is harder, while the four sided ring has less give.
That being said, the ring should be the least of TNA's problems.

Why do people seem to think that the ring is their biggest problem? Well, it'll remind me that TNA used not to suck. :/

At this point, the Six Sided Ring serves as nothing more than nostalgia. It won't help the product at all and I doubt that the guys and girls in TNA enjoy the thought of having to compete in it.

Couldn't they just construct the mat differently?

Wow, it seems like TNA wants to go all out for New York. I like this, I voted for six sided.

6-side ring for me it always made TNA different until Hogan came in. We need to see an Ultiminate X match with the 6 side ring again.

How many sides doesn't matter, but switching to 6 sides can be the first step in a philosophical return to what made TNA great years ago.

Couldn't they just construct the mat differently? Not in a way that would make it a lot easier to bump in and not feel like you're going to sh-t your kidneys all over the floor, no.

I don't exactly see how the number of sides affects how the mat is made. This is all theory since I've never set up a six sided ring, so bare with me here. The ring is smaller, meaning that everything is closer together under the ring and given that TNA probably constructs their ring like WWE does so it looks good for TV and not like a trampoline, there's really not a whole lot you can do to make it easy to bump on.
