Austin Healy Aries @austinaries What's wrong with wrestling? Letting people who've never done it, and never put their bodies on the line, run the show. #DoesntWork #4sides

Austin Healy Aries @austinaries · 6h For those curious, I find #6sides to be far less forgiving on the body and harder to maneuver around, especially on the top rope. #4sides

Obviously the wrestlers choose 4 sides, doubt the fans will care though.

6-sided should have never went away. It made TNA unique. This.

This is why democracy doesn't work. You people should not have a voice when it comes to my well-being and safety. #Traditional #4sides
BUT ETHAN THE 6 SIDES WILL START THE FIX ALL OF TNA'S PROBLEMS

Well if it's not safe for the Wrestlers to wrestle in then I guess the 4 sided ring would be better.

I had no idea the ring was more unsafe. How is it? I thought it was the same as any other ring. The six-sided ring is much stiffer and harder than the regular four-sided. More importantly, wrestlers are trained to work inside of a four-sided ring. So working inside of a six-sided ring is a completely different experience.

Read EC3's response and then all the replies of "ITS WHAT FANS WANT AND WE PAY YOUR PAY CHECKS". I may think TNA is just general ery, but what kind of opinion is that? If all the guys want 4 sided to stay safe, keep it. Their bodies not mine.

No one said it would make TNA better. I just wanted back for nostalgia, but now that I know it is unsafe for the wrestlers, I hope it stays 4 sided for their safety.

You won't see me in the Impact Discussion Thread tomorrow night, because the show isn't a priority of mine. I'll "watch" it Friday night, at the earliest.
Please, point out where I went on a rant... because I'm failing to see it.
It's also funny that these "TNA haters" are the same exact people that defended the company before you were even on these forums. It's not a coincidence that the moderator of this board, as well as the majority that visit it, share the same opinion for the most part. There's a reason this area of the forum is usually dead. All the fans have stopped watching, or get annoyed by TNA fanboys jumping down their throats for not enjoying the product.

As being someone to have the opportunity to wrestle in both, a 4 sided and a 6 sided ring, I have to go for best interest of the talent, and say 4 sided. Like many other people have said before, the 6 sided ring hurts a hell of a lot more than a 4 sided. Though I'll say this, a 6 sided is more fun to run around in, but I definitely wouldn't want to bruise my kidney's every other night by taking bumps.

That makes you someone who enjoys the product. I personally think it shows you're just looking for positives in a piss poor show, but if you like it... that's good for you.
When I express my dissatisfaction for the company's current state and the immediate response is "Stop coming to the TNA board then, you hater!"... it just shows how accepting certain people are for mediocre wrestling and have no valid reasons to help defend it.
No ring will change that, nor will any "signing" they get. The company needs wrestling writers, as well as someone competent enough to run a wrestling promotion. Until that happens, this company will continue to be a joke... which we all know those two things will never happen.

I say this right now. Six-sided ring will return for the NYC taping. Those who were very vocal about it on social media (Aries, EC3 and maybe more) will be upset by the decision. The ratings will not increase because if this, thus making this whole vote pointless and possibly push talent out of the door all for the sake of nostalgia and trying to create a buzz.
I predict they'll bring another horrible set of tapings to Hammerstein. Hopefully the crowd will crapall over it, leading to it obviously being dubbed over for television. This will hopefully lead to REAL changes for their return for the Destination X tapings... but probably not.

Couldn't they just make a safer six sided ring? Probably not. With that ring it's hard to do. A wrestling ring has metal pipes underneath the wood so it has more bounce, and on a 4 sided ring, it's easier to have 6-10 pipes (depending on size) the pipes can go one way and have the one pipe that goes through the middle go the opposite way. With a 6 sided ring, you have different size pipes, so it can't bounce as easy. The smaller something gets the less give and bounce it has. The board can't bounce based of the longest pipe, it has to have all the right sizes for it to be able to bounce easier. Hope it helped.

I honestly had no idea the six sided ring was harder on a wrestler's body to work on. That being said, now I feel like s*** for voting for the six sided ring. I hope the four sided ring stays just for the sake of the wrestlers. I don't think it would led to wrestlers leaving the company, but wouldn't be surprised if it did.
