Hey! Sorry if my memory isn't correct or whatever, but whenever CM Punk joined Nexus and after winning the title, why did it just disappear? Or did they have an explanation and I just don't remember? Thanks!

Well if that's the case why the hell didn't they make a good angle? Have WWE vs NEXUS again? Winner take all?
Some things annoy me more than they should.

Man, I'll never forget when they debuted by destroying Cena, that was so well done.. Then it went all WWE.

Yep they definitely should've won at SummerSlam, then Barrett should've won the WWE Championship. Personally I'd've had Barrett hold the title until Elimination Chamber where Undertaker returns & costs Barrett the title setting up the WM match that I'm sure they were going to do at one point. (Sorry for fantasy booking there).

I stopped watching WWE programming after they ed up the Nexus storyline. I don't even like talking about it. They had a handful of gold and turned it into a handful of dog sh*t.

It was a complete botch from the word go. At the time they were basically 8 unknown guys that dressed the same and were all 100% generic. I didn't watch NXT and lots of other people didn't either and it was very off putting having these guys you never even heard of get an in your face push straight to the main event and Cena burying them at Summerslam was the final nail in the coffin aswell.
The whole idea was good on paper but terrible in reality.

The Nexus angle was torpedoed by Superjohnny at Summerslam 2010. They weren't coming back from that.....

Chris Jericho and Edge have even gone on record about this and how they BOTH tried to talk Cena down but he wouldn't have any of it.

Yeah they were 100% generic, and nothing was really done to establish their characters. Nexus was a really great concept but with out some character development the only one that stood out was Barrett. Everybody else just kinda blended in together. Then after SuperCena at SummerSlam, it was too late.

Firing Daniel Bryan was the wrong move. Making John Cena overcome the odds was the wrong move. Having John Cena overcome the odds in the entire rivalry was the wrong move. Turning half of the Nexus into The Corre was the wrong move. It just ing sucked how it turned into the poo poo.

Yeah once CM Punk was announced as leaving the whole Nexus thing pretty much fizzled, in reality it was down to just Punk/Otunga/McGuillicutty at the end anyways, wasnt much of a powerful take over group at that point.
I always look back at Nexus and think that things should have been so much different for what was one of the hottest debut angles ever in WWE.
So many things went the wrong way that summer/fall.
- Nexus should have won at Summerslam. - They should not have removed Darren Young (why eliminate members so early?) - Barrett should have won the title at Survivor Series (if they can hotshot it to Sheamus the year before who had no momentum, why not Barrett?)

The single biggest mistake they've done with the Nexus was have them lose at Summerslam. If they would have won, the whole storyline would have gone better.

Crazy to think the Nexus is already considered classic. But yeah like others have said, by the time Punk was leading them it was complete crap. Should've just ended completely and that includes The Corre too.
