Cut down white athletic tape to the size you want, put it on the figure, then put the black knee pad over it. This should be a little easier than sculpy, and maybe cheaper.

get some medical tape (or athletic tape), and wrap it around his legs.

Just paint them on. if you are intending to play with it don't use sculpy because it will break.
