Yeah, I'm probably gonna get some 'heat' or whatever for this, but what WAS wrong with it? I mean, I kinda liked it if Im honest - granted I haven't watched it in years (I will be tonight on the Network ) but yeah, why is it seen as the worst PPV maybe of all time?

I think it had literally 2 matches announced beforehand. It had absolutely no hype and it genuinely seemed like WWE wanted it to fail. They traded the title from Big Show to Bobby Lashley, who most people thought was boring as hell.
To summarise, it was a PPV for a brand that was too small to sustain its own PPV's as it was, and it was incredibly poorly executed.

I liked seeing Kelly Kelly & the Chamber match, that's about it really.

Well for starters the Hardys vs MNM had no place on the card since they weren't ECW wrestlers. Also the rest of the matches were thrown together and weren't PPV quality. I'm a huge Sabu fan and was pissed when he was removed from the chamber match in favour of Hardcore Holly. Finally the ECW title went from one boring star to another.
Vince booked this PPV to fail and sadly Heyman Was the fall guy.

The fallout alone on this place post-PPV was insane. If I remember right, it's what lead to me becoming the mod of the ECW board. It was around that time.
Anyway, as others have said, it was setup to fail, and was a giant slap in the face to original ECW fans. Only 2 matches were announced before the how began, which was strike one. Strike two was taking Sabu out of the match DURING the show, which pissed off a lot of fans because the main event was being changed on them after they had already paid money for the show, then the last strike was the belt being taken off of Big Show and put on Lashley, who fans had made it clear they had no interest in seeing as ECW Champion.
Basically it was like the WWE set out with the goal of intentionally pissing off as many fans as they could.

If you liked it, then that's all that counts really. I myself, own the DVD of the event, but can't really remember anything memorable from it. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. The WWE's take on ECW really sucked. Their 2 One Night Stand events were ing awesome and probably as close to the original ECW as we are going to get. It just got so bad with The Zombie or whatever that crap was, I almost thought Russo was back in charge. Then, they changed the belt entirely to their own design and I thought it looked bland and sh*tty. Bottom line, NOTHING can re-create the original ECW.

It wasn't the worst Pay-Per-View in WWE history (I'm looking at you King of the Ring 1995), but it wasn't good. The Hardy Boyz vs. MNM was really good, but none of them were ECW guys. The rest of the matches weren't awful but they had no build or heat. The main event was decent, but CM Punk was the first guy eliminated which took the crowd out of it. The final three guys were Big Show, Bobby Lashley and Test...so the crowd would've been upset regardless.

Is saying everything too broad? It reminded me of a poor episode of Smackdown. There was no buildup besides the main event. The tag match between MNM and the Hardys was announced only a week prior. Sabu, probably the person fans were looking forward most to see in a chamber match is pulled from the match for Hardcore Holly of all people. Other memorable encounters included Dreamer vs. Daivari and Balls Mahoney vs. Matt Striker. ZZzzzzzz. It was easily the worst ppv in WWE history, I don't care what anyone says.

CM Punk was eliminated first. Ridiculous. They also replaced Sabu, but that was due to Drugs backstage...

it was the moment when Heyman fully lost control. he was sparring back and forth with Vince and, especially, Stephanie over the direction of the new ECW leading into this event, that it was a powder keg waiting to explode. which,at this event, it did. Heyman went after the McMahon's for their booking and match listing decisions for the show, which resulted in Heyman being removed from the building, the McMahon's booking it how they wanted with no outside influence, and Heyman quitting the next day. it's when the old ECW officially died for good, and we were going to get a WWE-ized version of ECW from that point forward.

I laugh every time I hear the collective opinion on the event, & love knowing my only appearance on WWE programming(To the left of the stage) was at the WORST PPV Event they ever produced.

The worst part about it was Heyman's plans for the main event would have helped to really salvage the show. Wouldn't have made it a great event, but would have made it a lot better than it was.

Was there any other one time PPV's? From WWE's ECW? No. But there have been a bunch of one time PPVs

It's so poorly booked. The crowd badly wanted HBK to win, yet you have the nerve to have him go to a time limit draw with Kama. Then, the crowd wanted the Undertaker and he loses. To Mabel. Ugh.

Lack of build, more than anything. The entire card was just thrown together poorly, when they could have spent six months building stuff up so that they had a few matches that meant a lot by then. Was there any other one time PPV's? Yup. Tuesday in Texas... Breaking Point...
