how would i go about making the turnbuckle pads roh used to have, the ones that are a rectangle and go from the top to the bottom turbuckles. what material should i use and how should i make it?

I used foamies. I cut them in a decent size rectangle, enought to fit on all 3 turnbuckles and taped them together. After they are taped together, I put fabric around them and glued the fabric down. I connected them with wire but some people have used just tape to connect them.

hmm, actually i may have an idea. i was thinking i would have a printout on fabric big enough to fit all 3 turnbuckles, and then glue very thin wood or cardboard behind it. would that work?
