My name is Jason and this is my first post on the forum. I've collected over 100 WWF LJN figures since December. The figures vary from good to poor condition. I joined the forum in March and started doing some research on the amazing work everyone on here has been doing with customizing. I finally decided after just doing some touch ups and full repaints that I myself would give customizing a go. I originally wanted to make this Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff figure into either Ravishing Rick Rude or The Ultimate Warrior. You can obviously see who I went with on this custom. I went ahead and purchased Aves Apoxie Sculpt after reading very good things about the product. On my first attempt I made the hair, knee pads, and wrist bands but I wasn't happy with the end result. It ended up sitting for a few months and thought I would move on to a Series 1 Hogan figure. I wanted to straighten the legs and give him his signature pose. After completely tearing the figure apart I couldn't figure out how I was going to achieve my goal. (on a side note, any thoughts or suggestions on how I can make that pose work would be appreciated) Fast forward to this past week I decided I would try to make a new Hogan from the Orndorff figure I wasn't happy with. So, after breaking off the Apoxie Sculpt I originally used I switched Orndorrff's head with Hogan's and began the task of building up the body. As you can see below this was what I was able to come up with. It's far from perfect and I still need to finish the eyes once I get a smaller paint brush. But, for only my second customizing attempt I think it came out okay. I hope everyone enjoys this and I'm always open to learning new and better techniques to try and improve on my future customs.
