I vaguely remember a mortal kombat stable in wcw, I want to say it was Mortis, Glacier, Wrath & The Kat? Anyone else remember this? And if so was it only a Saturday morning thing that never made Nitro & Thunder and did the stable have a name?

James Vandenburg managed Mortis (Kanyon) who had a Mortal Kombat inspired feud against Glacier. Vandenburg later brought in Wrath (Brian Clark/Adam Bomb) to help Mortis eliminate Glacier. Ernest Miller got inserted at some point because of his karate background. It was a long running mid-card feud that had many matches on Nitro. As an adult viewer I thought the idea was silly, but I won't complain about it too much because Kanyon is near the top of my list of under-rated, under-utilized, and under-appreciated WCW wrestlers from the late 90s.

Very cool thx guys! Wrath & Mortis looked so badass in full gear. Wrong place, wrong time for that tag team. With Kanyon's pure wrestling ability and ring psychology and Wrath's monster size and power they would've been HUGE in NJPW. @punk King Richius

Man, Glacier was so hyped. I don't think I ever even saw him actually compete in a match in WCW when I was watching. I saw all the promos but it seemed at the time like he never even turned up.

Ah, yeah they where great. Story was glacier was undefeated and vanderburg wanted glacier beat. Eventually Vanderburg brings in WRATH after his guy Mortis can't do the job. Wrath helps him cheat and glacier finally loses. Then miller joins glacier and they have a feud

I remember seeing these guys and thinking, "When did Jim Herd start booking again?" Lol good buddy, but these characters actually had some though and engineering behind them, a studio called AFX I believe created them. But lets think of some of Jim Heards butes... Arachnaman (brad Armstrong as Spiderman) the Prisoner (nails...as-a-prisoner) Black Blood (billy jack Haynes as a midevil executioner) The Juicer (art Barr as beatlejuice) Big Josh (Matt Bourne as a lumberjack) Help me out bro I know I'm forgetting probably 50 Jim Heard GEMS

On the WWE Countdown episode of Infamous Gimmicks, Chris Jericho said that Glacier's costume and promos cost a ridiculous amount of money.

The production values on those promos were pretty high for the time and his entrance gear was some pretty elaborate sh-t. Glacier was one of my favorite wrestlers when I was little. Really nice guy, too.

ABSOLUTELY, and to pay a production studio to create the character...then to only use the guy a handful of times...this is why if you delve into the Chris Kanyon shoots & his book about the internal destruction of wcw by Vince McMahon double agents (high ups in wcw secretly there for one reason:destroy WCW) it all starts to add up.

I love Wrath. Even in his Adam Bomb days. Clarke was actually pretty damn good. He was a big guy who could move around really well. Sorely under rated IMO. It's a shame he got saddled with such dumb gimmicks.

And completely F'd over in wwe bc Nash & shawn just didn't like him, then second shot after the buyout Taker saying that Kronik needed to go polish up in ovw because they hurt him and kane in a tag match and Adams and Clarke basically said go to hell to that

Mortis was awesome. Wrath was cool. Glacier was a dork, but his Cryonic Kick was really fun to use in video games.
