If I were Diaz, I'd go right for the leg. Just deliver non-stop leg kicks and get him down and hopefully finish him off. It's definitely an interesting fight to say the least. I have read that Anderson is already the betting favorite. Not completely sure if I agree with that or not, but it is what it is.

Its not surprising but its stupid. He should go right for that leg. He'd be a fool not to.

I don't think they're sleeping on Diaz, but it's fair that Silva is the favourite - it's at the weight where he ruled the division for years, whereas Diaz is mostly used to fighting at Welterweight. And Nick will be coming off a long lay-off himself (almost 2 years). It's such a great/unpredictable fight...

I predict that those two will taunt for at least four of the five rounds.
In all seriousness guy this is as close to a superfight as we're going to get at this current time. Nick wanted the big fight, now he's got it. I like this fight because it's interesting wherever it goes. I assume they'll be on the feet for most of it, and Nick has that volume boxing style that Anderson will not want to stand in front of for long. That being said it is fair to insert Anderson as the favorite here, although it will be interesting to see if Nick throws kicks coming out, or if Anderson will be gunshy about throwing kicks.
I imagine Anderson will watch the Condit fight in devising his game plan. However if his mobility is compromised in any way, Anderson may be looking at a rough return.

Nick just needs to destroy that leg, take away all his kicks and lock him down.

Diaz won't throw any leg kicks, he knows Anderson is an excellent counterstriker. I can't see Diaz being able to box with Anderson either. While Diaz is a great boxer he tends to throw wide hooks and step forward almost constantly. Diaz also drops his hands quite a bit as does Anderson, the difference being Anderson is much quicker and much more powerful. Anderson will pop Diaz with straight punches/elbows and knees the whole fight if Diaz tries to stand with him. I guess Diaz could try to clinch up with Anderson and take him down but that isn't Nick Diaz's style and I doubt he could score a takedown on Anderson anyway. My prediction is Diaz tries to stand and strike with Anderson to no avail, Anderson Silva's speed, technique and strength will be too much for Nick Diaz. Silva via first round KO.
