You could use plastic wireing. (the wires that come with some cs figs in the package to keep them in place), or you could use real barbwire which would be pretty dangerous or you could just use notmal wire. hope that helps.

Fishing line works really well, and can get tangled with figures like real barbed wire.

fishing line is NOT a good idea. it gets tangled deeply with figures, and if it gets wrapped with your hands, it'll cut you up bad.
real barbed wire is also no good, because it'd be incredibly super sized, dangerous, and would damage figures.
My suggestion is to use craft wire. you can get a big bundle of steel gage wire at a craft store or Wal*Mart for like, $3. Cut off the length you want, then cut another length shorter. cut the shorter length into little pieces then twist them around the long piece. It'll create realistic looking barbs that will tangle with other wire and stick to cloth. plus it isn't dangerous

I posted my idea in here yesterday, don't know why it's deleted... Oh well. I also said the gauge wire idea. I say either 26 or 28 gauge wire. The higher gauge wires are thinner. Also, how can you cut yourself with fishing line?
