Loved this movie, but I can't decide on my favorite Groot line I never thought that one repeated line of "I am Groot" could be so god damn entertaining. You know a movie is good when it can accomplish that. I saw it on opening day and I feel like I haven't seen it yet. My desire to see it again is just growing and growing. I may need to see it again in two weeks or so when I get my first pay check.

Saw it yesterday and really enjoyed. Great opening too. I just loved all the music, gonna download the soundtrack next. My favourite part was either when they were all standing up and Rocket comments on it or Starlord's distraction technique. So glad to see Pratt do well. Loved him in Parks and Rec, now he's in Lego Movie, this and the upcoming Jurassic Park film. Dude's gone ripped too.

I posted a more detailed synopsis in the Marvel thread but I also thought this was excellent and an incredible balancing act by Gunn.
I can now look back fondly at the rage over Gunns selection on AICN and a heap of other places and Laugh my ass off.
Gunn managed SO well here. It was all excellent and I'm delighted to see its done well at the Box Office too-because it truly deserves it.
on the subject of my 2nd fave Gunn movie? Its Slither......all the way. Man its brilliant.

James Gunn did a truly great job on this movie. Everything was damn near flawless.
I've seen it twice (once in IMAX) and I still haven't had enough. Going back for a third screening very, very soon!

Man I am really ing itching to see this again. I went to the Real D 3D screening on opening day because the theater didn't have IMAX. Think I'll see it again in IMAX after I get my first paycheck.

I definitely want to see it again too, I did the same with the Avengers because I thought it was that good.

I want to see it in IMAX for a second viewing...see if I like it any more, this time. Plus it was shot for IMAX, so -- yeah. Gotta see it that way.

Took me a while to fit this into my schedule but I saw it today. Add me to the list of people who thought it was great. I've been big fan of GOTG since Marvel let Abnett and Lanning take over the cosmic comics. This movie delivered characters that felt true to the comics while telling a new story that fits nicely into the Marvel movie universe. I can't wait for the blu-ray to come out because I will be watching this movie many many times.

I honestly think the film was noticeably better in IMAX 3D. You can tell the scenes where viewing the film in that format was intended. It's worth spending the extra money to see it in IMAX imo.

Yeah I read Gunn say it was shot, and designed to be seen that way (Follow him on FB, if any of you don't, already. Dude's entertaining, and legit appreciates his fans) ...the more I think back on the movie, the more I think I like it. I gotta give it a second chance. Will do so in IMAX. Question: Does anyone feel they sort of made Drax kind of a b**ch?...I just feel like he wasn't given a whole lot to work with, and what he was -- he pretty much just got his ass kicked.

I'm trying to work on ranking here for the MCU.....and don't think I can. But I will say this.....GOTG, Cap II & Avengers are defo in the top 5.
other 2 being Cap & IM probably.......hell I love them all. Some more than others.
but last year we watched all of phase 1 in the order intended(cap 1st, Avengers last) and good god it was an awesome experience.
cant wait to do the same this Christmas......only it will be 10 to watch. BRING IT

BRING IT LOL, I literally started doing this a couple nights ago.. And found it incredibly hard to rank them.. The only certain spot was 'Iron Man 2' in dead last... Everything else was the most crazy insane mental challenge.
