Where's your location? Stay away from sculpey. Check this stuff out: Apoxie SculptLet's compare: Sculpey requires boiling or baking of sorts to set. Apoxie Sculpt is air curable, needed no boiling or baking. Sculpey is brittle and doesn't hold well after it has set. Apoxie Sculpt is a 2 part epoxy, therefore making it rock hard after it has set. A figure with sculpey that takes a dive, you can bet that the sculpey will break. The same figure with Apoxie Sculpt? I'll bet it doesn't break unless you throw the figure. I've been using Apoxie Sculpt for about a year. I'll never use anything else. You can order it off of that site, or you can get it off ebay. Just type in 'Apoxie Sculpt' in the search bar. Of course, if you still want sculpey, try your nearest hobby/craft store. Michaels has it. Not sure about AC Moore or Hobby Lobby though.

Sculpey is just a modelling clay. you can easily get it at a craft store or at walmart. apoxie sculpy is good. i tried it even. but it dries to quick for my likeing. it dried in about 10 minutes not giving me much time to modd the stuff on my figs and i had to rush modding and it didn't look a good. hope that helps. but it's your choice on what sculpey you get though.

Dude, you weren't using Apoxie Sculpt then. You must've been using epoxy putty, which does cure in about 10 minutes. I let my Apoxie Sculpt set for 20 minutes, after it's been mixed. Afterwards, I start my sculpting. So there's no way you used Apoxie Sculpt. HR2X will tell you the same thing.

Go with AF on this one. I've been doing customs off and on for over 7 years and I've always hated Sculpy. It's not good for anything but making molds.
Use a slow drying epoxy putty. I don't know if it's available in the States or not, but I've been using Tamaya Putty for a long time. It works awesome. Sands down really nice.
Anyway, your local craft store will be able to help you if you ask them for a slow drying epoxy putty. Go with something like that.
