I don't understand why they're even bothering with this? Because stupid crap like Bridesmaids and The Heat made money. I hate Melissa McCarthy. The whole "look at me Im a fat woman who cusses and does disgusting things" crap is beyond annoying. Never heard of her. Just googled her. She fat.

You'll be much better off if you didn't. *Insert Scott Steiner SHE'S FAT. The only movie she was in that I didn't find her completely abhorrent in was Identity Thief and that's because of Jason Bateman.

I actually like Bridesmaids. Along with mean girls it's one of the girl flicks I enjoy. But my god do I hate this GB3 news. I'm beyond outraged since I hold the GB franchise dear to my heart and childhood.

If you reacted negatively to the news of a new Ghostbusters yesterday, then this story isn’t going to make you any happier. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Paul Feig spoke about his upcoming take on Ghostbusters, which he said will be a reboot that has nothing to do with the first two films.
On how the idea came about: “I had been contacted by Sony and Ivan a number of months ago when I was in Budapest shooting my new movie Spy. But I was like, I don’t know if I want to take that on because the first two are such classics and just because of how do you do it? Who do you bring in now that Harold’s gone? I know that Bill didn’t want to do it and I love Dan, but it was just like I don’t know how to do it. Then I had lunch with [Sony Pictures co-chairman] Amy Pascal when I got back to town. She was just saying, gosh, nobody wants to do this. I said, yeah, it’s really hard to take that on, especially since it’s 25 years later. how do you come back into a world that’s had these ghosts and all this? It just felt too difficult. How do you do it and not screw it up? But then it was bugging me for the next few days because Ghostbusters is such a great thing and everybody knows it, and it’s such a great world. It’s a shame to just let this thing sit there. I want to see another one. My favorite thing to do is work with funny women. I was like, what if it was an all female cast? If they were all women? Suddenly, my mind kind of exploded: that would be really fun. And then I thought, well, what if we just make it new? It’s not coming into the world that existed before. It’s always hard if the world has gone through this big ghost attack, how do you do it again? I wanted to come into our world where there’s talk of ghosts but they’re not really credible, and so what would happen in our world if this happened today?”
On why he decided to do a reboot: “Yeah. I love origin stories. That’s my favorite thing. I love the first one so much I don’t want to do anything to ruin the memory of that. So it just felt like, let’s just restart it because then we can have new dynamics. I want the technology to be even cooler. I want it to be really scary, and I want it to happen in our world today that hasn’t gone through it so it’s like, oh my God what’s going on?”You people can bitch all you want about me using this phrase, but they really are raping my childhood.... Why call it Ghostbusters? Call it something else. People would be much more happier with that than gender bending the original which it seems that's what's they're doing.

Because people will pay to see a franchise named movie regardless if it's sh** or not. Sadly a movie doesn't have to even be good or have any substance to make money.

Will only watch if Emma Stone is cast and there is a ghost oral sex scene like the original.

So are people mad that they are making another Ghostbusters or that the cast is female?

So are people mad that they are making another Ghostbusters or that the cast is female? I'm annoyed that the team will be all female. It feels forced and stinks of the "PC Police". If the reboot had to proceed I would say a female member of the team would be absolutely warranted But not all.

So are people mad that they are making another Ghostbusters or that the cast is female? I'm all for a Ghostbusters 3; I'm all for a Ghostbusters 3 starring all women. I'm petrified of a Ghostbusters 3 with Melissa McCarthy or Rebel Wilson involved. I'm annoyed that it's a 'hard reboot' of the original to make it current times, etc. Ghostbusters had a great thing going. Why can't an all-woman cast work in that Universe? Why's it gotta be updated, and made darker, and grittier and 'scarier', etc? It's meant to be a comedy, first. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. All that said -- it's a simple solution, if I don't like what I see from the commercials, or the casting -- I won't go see it. I think people tend to forget we have easy problem solutions to our beefs, when it comes to things like this. Ghostbusters is near, and dear, to my heart, but -- I didn't make it, so -- my life will go on if they stake it in the heart with GB3.

Melissa McCarthy will be in it. Not a doubt in my mind.
Emma Stone (maybe)
Kristen Wiig (probably)
And someone else.

I just bought the Ghostbusters 1&2 30th anniversary edition on BluRay.
I also bought a new 55" 1080p/240hz HDTV to go with it.
It's beautiful...

This should happen. AGREED!!! Stone, Dushku, Fey and Wiig. Set it in the GBU that's already been established, and I'm in. No McCarthy; no Rebel Wilson.
