seriously. every orton figure looks nothing like himself and it drives me nuts that his figures heads looks like ducks or lizards. no spam really. just help me decide which scan would give me the feeling that it is actually a tiny randy orton in my hand..
mattel made great batista bray cena reigns kane but why a maineventer figure looks like blahhhjhhh ?

Hmmmm, weird thread. All I have is a elite 16 Randy Orton, I really like it. Maybe try getting that one. No of his heads are spot on, but you've just gotta deal with it.

The orange Summerslam Heritage one is pretty good, I think the latest one is spot on too, but of course it's a smidgen too large imo.

I think every scan they made of Orton has looked like him. Even the ones that just had facial hair painted on the second scan (e9) still looked like him. Poorly painted. Bit the likeness of the scan is still there.
If you want a bearded figure either of his last 2 scans are great. (e16/e21/boPPV or the BP28(?) the one with Bryan)
If you want clean shaven then the e9 is perfect.

elite 16 21 and boppv and even the bp have the lizard slash weird faces ive been talking about.. the look on elite 9 i dont like his expression.. also weird to me.. summerslam is pretty spot on. but he doesnt have all the tattoos and im nervous about that head wont fit some other updated orton bodies.

He didn't have all the tattoos when he had the look. so that head is perfect for an Evolution Orton. But he really hasn't had hair like that since pre Legacy. I love the E9 scan. Especially when you make it completely bald. as for the e16/E21/boPPV that is personally my favorite post Evolution scan. I think the facial features are exactly there. The BP head the face looks even better, buy the head is too round and short. Almost like someone gripped the sculpt from the top and bottom and squeezed it before it was cast. The pencil arms are the biggest issue I have with orton figures. Those arms aren't the smallest. there's actually two sets smaller. The ones used for Punk/Jericho/Miz etc. And then the really scrawny ones used on modern HBK's. But since they decided to put Elite Dolph and Cody on roids yes Orton needs larger arms. The thing I don't like about Elite Orton figures are the super cut thighs. I wish they had an Elite leg that matched his Basic figures legs. |

I feel you. It took a while (over two years which is how old the scan is) to like the Elite 16 Orton scan. I still don't think it is accurate but I like the looks of it. It always will be too wrinkly and the nose too pointed.
The new scan is all right, but he still looks a bit old. I also don't know how Mattel can knock finely sculpted facial hair out of the park with basic 39 Christian, but the new Orton looks like he has deep scar tissue when unpainted. Newer Basic Miz figures look like they have stubble and Christian looks like he has a few day beard, Orton should too. His beard isn't thick in real life. Hell, Mattel only recently thought to not connect the mustache to the rest of his facial hair.
If you're looking for pure likeness, go with Elite 9 or 12. It has the most resemblance to his face shape and structure. It cuts one hell of a profile with the ears, nose, brow, high rounded cheekbones all in perfect place. It might not be your favorite facial expression with the mouth kind of just open, but the shape is dead on. Weirdly enough, the Strikers version has a modification of the mold with sculpted hair and beard. The scan was originally taken from his 20(10?) heel run with his head shaven. I wish at least one had come bald, especially since elite 9 has his bald head pictured on the box.
Avoid the first scan. It's a mild resemblance, but with an unflattering neckline, the eyes were always painted poor, the neck peg used on elite 2 was attrociously long, and the biggest sin that everyone seems cool dismissing is the fact that the head is lopsided. Noticeably so and on all of them, so it isn't an isolated error.

I have all the Elite Ortons and I'd have to say 9, 16 or 21. 21 being my personal favorite.

I have two Ortons which I like the Best of 2013 Basic scan is good but believe it or not my favourite is from this flip kickin action figure i picked up two years ago which i have on my elite orton...Google it and see what you think
Orton is like cody rhodes and the rock imo theyve never truly nailed it
