Let me start by saying I freakin' LOVED the sit-down interview segment with Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho last night. It felt like such a cool throwback promo.
I also must say that Mick Foley is one of the best promos in the history of wrestling (my opinion).
That being said, I feel like Bray Wyatt has the same gift as Mick Foley when it comes to delivery of a promo. It's a lost art. Especially in today's age of scripted promos. Bray Wyatt's character and delivery has a real "think outside the box" promo style and I really enjoy it.
It's a shame a lot of today's fans can't get behind a more well thought out promo (they were chanting "boring" during a Wyatt promo a couple weeks ago) because their attention spans are shorter than ever. I love a good promo and Wyatt and Heyman are the only ones really delivering them at the moment.
Thoughts?

I felt that the promo was good as I state in my Raw Report (link in my sig; cheap plug) and one of the main reasons was that Bray and Jericho can both go on the microphone. I also happen to agree that nobody can touch Paul Heyman and Bray on the microphone today. There's just nobody in their leagues. By, the way, I love a good Mick Foley promo.

I could feel the raw emotion in Foley's promos. I don't necessarily get that from Wyatt's. Perhaps that's just me.

Promo cutters*
Anyway, I agree in a sense. I just don't get that segment from yesterday. What happened after the camera went off? Did they skip off in the meadow holding hands?

Bray needs more variety in his promos. Aside from last night, his mic work has bored me to tears lately.

Everytime I see Bray with a mic, I get excited.
While I agree that his promos tend to be predictable and lack much variety, he delivers them so well that I cannot help but be a huge fan.
Wrestling needs more story tellers, this guy will go places and be remembered for years to come even if he never wins a title.

I think he is a ways away from Mick, but he is on the right path.

Three unique styles, three unique characters and three completely flawless promos. Nobody is touching those three on the mic for a VERY long time. Steen will be the next.

He's really good, not Foley good, but still really good.

Nope. Not even close.
Wyatt is decent but way overrated.

Nods to this. he is arguably just as deranged as the mankind character. But for some reason ministry Taker comes to mind when i see him cut promos and make his entrance.

I enjoy Bray but I feel that he gets you a little lost in his promo's, to the point where you have no idea what he is talking about. Gets to where I dont even pay attention cause I'm so lost.

Idk why, maybe its because Wyatt seems like he has a ghost inside of him or something. I can't really put it into words, but the similarity is right there.

Honestly, and I may get hate for this, but that sit down promo was egh at best.
He instantly lost me.
"You're a disappointment to your old man, Chris."
...How? By being the first Undisputed Champion ever? The record holder for most Intercontinental Championship reigns? Multi-time tag team champion? Successful rock star? Actor?
Yea, Bray, he's a real let down.
When the foundation for you promo is made of tin foil and you're delivering a 3 ton promo, the base crumbles, and it means nothing.
I think Bray is very talented, but that segment on RAW, specifically, wasn't great.

He's well on his way Bash - but he's forging something different altogether, something compelling IMO that sometimes goes over people's heads.
I haven't seen the sit down interview yet, but I will.
I love his mic work though, to me it's great.

Bray Wyatt is just another example of how wrestling isn't ready for intellectual content. I know fans on the internet always say they want more adult content and more developed stories but the WWE demographic isn't conducive to that kind of content. Fans, in general, need something that's simple to follow, that fundamental good versus evil. When guys come along like Jake, Raven, Foley, Wyatt, and they cut these metaphorical masterpieces, that are often times long winded, fans lose interest, primarily because they just don't have the tension span to sit through it. Wrestling has always been "dumb fun" and these intellectually psychotic characters blow by that stereotype. Also, think about your younger audience. 10 year old me wouldn't have the slightest ing idea what Bray Wyatt was talking about. I think last night was brilliant. Bray was gushing emotion. I didn't know if he was going to cry or stab Jericho's eyes out. I have nothing but great things to say about the guy. He's quite easily the best character on the roster right now imo, and he seems to eat, sleep, and breath that gimmick. I'm just trying to appreciate every second of it because the fans are fickle and you really just never know when a guy like him will be totally taken for granted.
