Hi everyone. In another forum I had a few people that requested pics of the table I created for my son. I do not have the up to date pics featuring the full scale ring, but you can see here what the premise was.
The mattel arena set up was purchased just for this table. I put an old iPod touch on the back of the table using velcro. I purchased a small speaker set up to put on both sides of the entrance play set. I have entrance music downloaded for all of his wrestlers.
I used his old train table since he never uses it, and it fits him perfectly (he is 3 years old). I split the table in half with the set up. I used silver duct tape to represent concrete on the arena floor as you will see. I bought the barricade from wrestling superstore and cut it with garden snips to fit the table when connected. I taped down vinyl liner pool samples on the black portion of the table. I then taped over all of the pool vinyl with black electrical tape along with some black duct tape to keep it down. I bought two figures and cut off their legs (they have since been removed for the BAF Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler because my wife thought they were creepy when my son when smash through the table and there would be legless commentators around the house) and put them at the announce table. I also got two security guards to be posted on both sides of the barricade for him.
I built this for my son for his birthday a few months ago. I bought him some figures and a ring a year ago thinking he might like to play around with them. He is obsessed with wrestling, and we aren't really sure why. Since he is young he only watches the first hour of Raw before bed, and then if he is good at school then he gets to watch the rest later in the week. When the really violent parts come up, we fast forward because we don't want him getting the wrong idea since he can't comprehend that it is fake. I will post pics eventually of his whole collection, because to be quite honest I spoil the ever loving crap out of him. Wrestling makes him smarter more and more daily because of the memorization he shows with the wrestlers. He hears the beginning of an entrance song, and he immediately knows who it is. My wife tolerates it, and plays with him because he likes us to. She's a trooper, because she really hates wrestling.
He had a wrestling themed birthday party, and as you can see he is in love with everything wrestling (Tried watching TNA once, neither of us liked it...)
You can see he even needed them in the hospital in Feb when he had a febrile seizure due to quick rising temp (all better, stayed for observation and tests was all). During that visit, we had some friends send WWE tweets and such seeing if they could get a wrestler to send him a get well soon video through twitter. WWE actually ended up contacting me after wrestlezone.com got a hold of it and retweeted it. They sent him a care package that included the Randy Orton basic from the Wrestlemania Heritage line, magazines, a DVD, and some autographed photos. He was pumped, and that also sold my wife on what type of company they are. After that, she has become a bigger supporter of his love. Just thought I would share all of this as I see all of the collection posts and such.
