Hey guys, I have been wondering about this figure for a long time now and I've gotta get to the bottom of it. Just how rare is this purple skirt Miss Elizabeth figure?? Every time I search for it on eBay, it is NOWHERE to be found. I can't even find a loose one, much less a MOC one. I believe this version of Miss Elizabeth is INSANELY rare, but I just want to hear what you guys think and what your opinions are. The figure pictured is mine from my own personal collection. And if it is indeed extremely rare and very valuable, then you guys are going to think I am lying, but whatever, but I picked this up MANY, MANY years ago at a toy show in Toronto for only $15. The seller was an idiot and I remember him jokingly saying you can take off the dress and made some other stupid comments and what-not. But I knew I scored a sweet deal that day. What do you guys think?? Do you think $15 is a score for this figure or what?? Ha-Ha. Anyway, I just want to know exactly what I have in my possession and how rare it is and valuable it is. I have ZERO intentions of selling, so don't even bother asking. Here is my WWF LJN MOC Purple Skirt Miss Elizabeth:

Very hard to find, even loose these days. 10 years ago they seemed to pop up for every 5 gold skirts (obviously a cheap estimate, but you get the picture). What the value is, I have no clue, but $15 is a great price to be sure! I see loose examples with asking prices of around $100, though who knows what they actually sell for. Back in the day they could be had for $15-20 loose & mint.

Right now they're going for over $1000 in good shape, as this one is. I know several guys who have paid north of $1k lately.

I'm not saying I don't believe you or anything, I would just like to see an auction or something that shows this figure going for that much. Hearing a price like that makes me VERY happy considering what I originally paid.

Was it only exclusively available in Canada? Growing up I had this figure with the purple skirt and don't recall ever seeing the gold skirt Liz in stores. Also I wonder if the same is true for the ref being exclusive to Canada. As a kid I only had the Blue ref and had never seen the white one before except for on the checklist.

Very rare and as a few have said, sells for a pretty penny. Rarer than even some of the black card MOC out there, for sure.

definitely a great item... and the Purple Skirt Liz might be just Canadian release only.. i remember back in 88-89, 5-6 of the kids on my street all had Liz figures, including myself, and we ALL had purple skirts lol.. could just mean we all bought it from the same store back then (Eaton's or Woolco or something)...
also for the Ref's, i believe those were both released on the USA as well, as I have my LJN posters for the Checklist and Famous Holds and those are english only..

I think it was primarily released in Canada because the gold skirt version was released on what they referred to as the "U.S. manager card". Although I'm in Canada and growing up I had the one with the gold skirt. So I guess they were both in Canada and the purple skirt version was in Canada exclusively or predominantly. Either way it's definitely in the top 10 in terms of LJN rarity. I could have had one in mint condition a year ago for $500 and turned it down, thinking that was too much, and now they go for more than double that.
