Honest question. I just started collecting wrestling figs a month or so ago. I had to put marvel legends on the back burner to start this, but if i had to buy another damn spiderman to get a BAF part i was going to flip tables. I posted on the Mattel forum for some advice there, but im looking to you Jakks fans for some more.
My goal is to get one of everyone. Impossible, i know, and i will look to customs for those that never had figs [looking at you blue meanie!]
I know Jakks had alot of figs Mattel hasnt put out yet. Mattel is my priority - but what Jakks figs should i look for to help complete the roster? What Jakks figs do you see never being made on Mattels side? I searched the forums for a long time and have some basic ideas (sable ugh, miss jackie ugh, Spike dudley, etc.) Im building a spread sheet of what to hunt for and could use the advice. Thanks.

Looking for one of everyone Mattel wouldn't make? Here's a site with every classic superstars figure and you can determine for yourself which figs mattel wouldn't make a good rule of thumb is every ecw wrestler and or jobber from the 90s sites.google.com/site/classicsuperstars/

But my choice is easy as Im a WWF mid 80s fan and most wrestlers Jakks did had many multiples plus I hate Mattel's over articulation just freaks me the hell out especially the thighs and the crotch area but just collect what makes you happy as its all that matters .

Be very careful before buying any Jakks guys if you want to put them in a display with Mattels. The Jakks figures will look really poor in comparison, and in most cases, they'll look too far out of scale with the Mattels. For the giant guys, you can probably get away with it, but Jakks giving 99% of figures Hulk Hogan sized arms means you just need to be vigilant. Ideally, when you're about to buy a CS figure, see if you can find/request a picture of it next to a Mattel figure. Or even better, look for a Mattel custom of that guy and you'll see if the Jakks head goes well on a Mattel body. If you don't display your figures together, though, it won't matter.
