And Ricardo's basic rotted even though he was a kid friendly character at the time. The collectors complained about not finding Zeb because he was shortpacked. And Heyman was in a 2-Pack with Brock and that was the pegwarmer of the wave. With BaF more collectors will get to find the figure as a BAF than they would if he was released in a regular assortment because they would need to be shortpacked. I have never seen a child say "oh I want a Michael Cole" (or a JR, etc) The only way most get released are as a BAF. Location matters. It took me an eternity to see just one Ricardo figure on the shelves. I eventually didn't have trouble finding him, but he was easily the bought figure from that set at any store I saw the series at. And Heyman/Brock Battle Pack? That one was easily the "chase" set around here. I still don't know how stores got rid of the several Taker/Punk packs I saw rotting away months after the set had dropped. Again, location matters. What's tough to find somewhere may rot elsewhere and vice-versa. I'm not a kid, but I still gravitate toward the more unusual entries in a Basic set. We get so many Cenas, Mysterios, Big Shows, et al, that something like a Ricardo or Zeb inclusion instantly catches my attention. Thats right. I never saw even one Ricardo on shelves. And those Taker/Punk packs are still sitting in every single store in my area while the Heyman packs are long gone.
