came back from vacation to my full set of Elite 31 from Ringside!
I've yet to get Elite 30, might be the first time ever I've "skipped" an Elite series (I will be getting them all but I'm just waiting for retail/online)
figured I'd just share my standard pics & thoughts
we'll start with DemonKane
as a collector, this figure frustrates the living hell out of me. however Mattel doesn't make figures just for collectors, it just sucks that the attire is 100% completely OLD and in-accurate compared to what he's been wearing the past year +
However the newer headscan is spot on, and the mask is pretty cool...it actually fits very well on his head.
next up is Mr. Lunatic
nice to get an updated Ambrose Elite. would have really preferred a new scan but whatever. the belt he came with isn't "vac" metal either...its shinier than the other dull belts but not as much as the good ones (like that came with E23 Cesaro) must be something newer/cheaper. also i laughed at the re-used camcorder. Whatever it's a decent figure and at least I got another belt

ing FINALLY get Elites after only being employed longer than Mattel's been making WWE figures
I love the attire, I love the new boots, These figures are really great besides the heads. Tongue scans suck, goofy smiling scans suck. They just don't really LOOK like Jimmy or Jey. And I gotta say it was a TREMENDOUS pain in the ass to get the shirts on over the heads with the hair on the outside. (I'm not boiling my figures to pop heads off for shirts...) and fast fact.....the "chains" they come with are the exact same thing as the one found on E27 Rikishi! Cool.
Overall very pleased though. Now get me my Titus O'Neil Elite!
"Hollywood" H....Rock
This was a damn nice surprise. The headscan is pretty good in person, it kind of gives a sarcastic vibe. This is a perfect example of a figure that should have been Exclusive and gotten better treatment instead of the Rock we actually got as RSC exclusive. The pants are fine, but where's the belt & buckle? where's the vest? why does his guitar break? why does he have a closed fist? (can't hold the mic & guitar at the same time) I'd almost rather they gave him the elite style "suit" legs, and then molded a cool buckle on the pants, thrown in a vest & made a god damn new guitar that doesn't fall apart immediately if you take the elastics off
I feel like this figure was a double off the wall instead of a home run.
For those wondering, he has silver logos on his trunks (bull on back):
Big Van
Easily the jewel of this set. Hell of a job. Everything is awesome besides the bright orange hair color.
The helmet is cool as hell. I'm glad they threw in the red mask. They gav him "big boy" arms! (Unlike Yokozuna who has what I think is Hornswoggle's arms) I enjoy having this figure in my collection....WAY better than the Jakks Classic one with the derp scan.
That's all.
Elite 31 is a great set overall. Debuts of the Usos, 2 very good Flashbacks, an updated Ambrose
and Kane.
5 out of 6 is good enough
