Does anybody else get the vibe while watching Friday Night Smackdown that it's slowly becoming the Roman Reigns Show? It seems like Reigns has been in almost every recent main event or apart of the shows major storyline. It's not that it's a bad thing to me but does it seem like its too much?

The WWE is trying to build him as the next big superstar...

I think if the brand split were in action to this day, then Roman Reigns would have been the main dude on Smackdown. So to answer your question, yes.

He's beginning to get exposed as not that great in the ring and not that cool on the mic. Rollins and Ambrose are so much more well rounded. I'm worried Reigns is gonna be another big guy pushed too and too fast by Vince, and he's going to fail and slowly fade away. He has "it" but is that all he has?

Not a bad thing at all, helped Batista out. I just wish the brand split was still around.

I said this in the Raw thread, he's beginning to look like the next John Cena, and I don't mean that in a good way. The guy uses a total of about 5 moves (Clothesline, Samoan Drop, Apron Kick, Superman Punch, Spear) and his promos are basically about the same nonsense week in and week out. I agree with you he has "it" but I don't think that'll be enough to keep fans interested in this era of wrestling. Especially for fans who are tired of the "Cena-Esque" product and are becoming more interested in better wrestling. That may have gotten Cena over but I got a funny feeling that when Reigns becomes champion, Cena's boos will have found a new home.

It'll be a duplex of hate then because fans aren't going to magically like Cena just because Reigns is champ. They'll both get heel reactions.

I had noticed he has been in the main event for quite a few weeks on Smackdown. I think it is a good idea. The WWE want him to be the next John Cena. They want him to be over with the kids. If they get just that, they'll be happy. As for he's only using 5 moves, most guys who have had a run on top, whether it was Hogan, Austin, Rock or Cena, use a small amount of moves. Most of that is down to them being beat down for the majority of their matches and making a comeback at the end, therefore not having alot of time to be doing more than their 5 moves. Reigns had been adding a different move every so often to his set, but it looks like someone backstage as told him he doesn't need to.
I think that WWE shouldn't have shoved him straight into the title match after The Shield split. He should have wanted some revenge against Rollins, like Ambrose has and is way more over than Reigns at this time because of it. Maybe that's why they have started a feud between Reigns and Rollins now? I think when he faces off with Triple H, it will help him a lot.

"WWE never make new stars they just use Cena" >WWE attempts to make new star "WWE are just making him another Cena!" >WF Logic Have you watched how they booked Regins . winning matches with his five moves of doom despite getting his ass kicked through out the entire match.him being super man and not catching a beat down. despite the Authority having a three on one advantage. Even better take the raw from a couple weeks back when they were in iowa and Rollins was getting cheered of regins. and the announcers said they were cheering him overs regins. because they wanted to see Regins kick hiss ass. despite in being in Rollins home town.

"WWE never make new stars they just use Cena" >WWE attempts to make new star "WWE are just making him another Cena!" >WF Logic There are other ways to build stars like they've done with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose so far. I'm not one of the ones saying things like "the WWE doesn't build stars" or something like that, it's just that sometimes it feels like the right move and sometimes it feels forced. It feels forced with Reigns and that might not be a good thing.

The WWE is trying to build him as the next big superstar... Yep. People keep saying they are "pushing his down our throats." They are building him up so he is believable to take over for Cena. You know, the guy everyone has been complaining about for years. If it were one of their favorites being built like a beast, they wouldn't complain.

Reigns has a wide moveset, but with the way his character works he has to aim on doing moves that make the fans get on their feet, so he gets limited to his signatures.

Reigns is a poor man's Cena. The internet has every right to complain about the guy until he actually gets over with the crowd, learns how to wrestle, or doesn't absolutely suck on the microphone.
He's the next Batista. He's getting this push no matter how bad he sucks and they will likely stick with him for as long as it takes for him to figure it out.

Have you watched how they've booked top faces for countless years? That's how it's always worked, it's not a John Cena thing it's a pro wrestling thing.

it's essentially up to the wwe universe to stop this from happening, and with how they've managed to protect cena, i'm not sure it's possible to stop.

I think using him like that on Smackdown can help polish his skills (he needs that) and to get him on camera more. I like Reigns and I think he has a bright future. The feud with Orton needs to end, I have not enjoyed the Orton feud.
