Yes.
Then Dean Ambrose.
Then Bray Wyatt.

Best heel talker in the business by far. Interesting, entertaining, sounds like he believes what he says, and crucially -- this is the one that puts him way above Bray Wyatt -- makes you care about the outcome of the match he's promoting. Heyman and Cena together the last few weeks have done some of the best promo battles in years.

You can always count on Heyman delivering on the mic. But Cena & Heyman crushed it this week.

Yes. Then Dean Ambrose. Then Bray Wyatt. That's what I was about to say, Cena & Heyman killed it this week. Although I could've done without the Purple Heart & Make A Wish comments.

He is certainly making a case for greatest manager of all time, which is incredibly impressive since he is essentially managing a part timer who doesn't attend most events.

That's his passion of wrestling. Sure there are guys/gals that are passionate about wrestling, but with Heyman, he let's that passion leak into his words. Everything he says you just have to believe. He has the ability to to evoke all emotions during a promo. He was good in the 90's, but I think he's releasing Platinum hits for 3 years now.

Heyman is simply untouchable on the microphone. Its rarely hard to say that someone is/was the best ever at something, but I don't think anyone has or ever will be on the same level as far as Paul Heyman promo-wise.
Guys like Punk, Austin, Jake Roberts, Chris Jericho, Raven, Piper all were phenomenal in their own right but I still find Heyman the absolute best. The guy just has an undeniable way to make you think while he's talking and hang on every single word he says. People have been cutting promos on Cena for years mocking him about the fans chanting Cena sucks, but only Heyman took it to such a level where he made it believable that the reaction is truly getting to Cena.
It'll be interesting to see where guys like Ambrose and Barrett (2 guys that I consider at the top of the current crop of talent in terms of mic skills) will end up when its all said and done, but I think it will take promos of super mega epic proportions to dethrone Heyman as the best talker in wrestling ever.

Heyman is on another level. You can't possibly give him enough credit for just how good he is. I was smiling throughout that entire promo. He was absolutely brilliant. Cena started out soft, but he ended up knocking it out of the park too.

Didn't say he was better or in the same league but it's not out of the realm of possibility. I know. I don't even think Ambrose is close to touching Heyman at the moment, let alone in the same conversation. Like others have said, Heyman is simply untouchable. I'll be interested to see how Ambrose evolves on the mic in the future being that WWE is finally giving Ambrose stable mic time.

heyman always had the gift of gab, but you add the fact that he's had over 20 years of onscreen experience and you realize we're watching a certified legendary manager from week to week.
he is certainly amazing at what he does.
i would really like to see him and zeb colter have a show down. i think zeb could do far more than he does currently, as is evident from his time as the dirty dutchman (particularly in smokey mountain).

Absolutely. Heyman's promo this week with Cena blew me away. He had gotten a bit repetitive leading into this week, really to no fault of his own, because of Brock just not being around but he pulls out those goosebump promos and you're just left with your mouth open looking at your tv. Heyman might understand the game better than anyone we've ever seen. He gets the audience, he gets what resonates with the audience and I personally believe it's a damn shame he is limited to an on-camera role. Heyman's the type of guy that could run for president and win based on his conviction alone imo, and I think that speaks volumes about the guy.
I still think Bray Wyatt is the best active wrestler promo guy on the roster. Ambrose may be great, but he hasn't really had a great promo in WWE imo, let alone a series of them. Bray and Ambrose definitely buy into their gimmicks though and I think that takes excellent mic workers and makes them even better. After that it's probably Sandow for me, who I enjoy from a comedy perspective but I still think he's under utilized. Regardless, I think Heyman is comfortably standing on his own in the talking category and he's a can't miss segment every single week for me.

Easily he is the best on the mic right now in the current WWE. The man can talk and he can get you excited to see matches and pull you right into the storyline. Heyman is one of the main reasons I watch Raw, watching him cut an awesome promo reminds me of why I am a wrestling fan sometimes (he is just that good).
