Tonight's RAW proves that Kevin Dunn is the worst booker in WWE History. Enough said and just saying.

He's not the booker.

He's not a booker but he does have sway with Vince and can ruin talent.

I try really hard never to be "that guy" but I don't ever remember wrestling being less enjoyable than it is now. Other than Brock (who shows up once every few weeks at most) there isn't much to look forward to on a weekly basis. At the age of almost 30 I watch the show now almost out of muscle memory of some obligation I feel to my younger self. But the last few weeks have just been BAD.

Without Paul Heyman and Brock, the show would be completely unwatchable.

How sad is that I am more so looking forward to Gotham debuting next week over the fall out from Night of Champions?
I have been a fan for as long as I can remember and today's product is starting to remind me of the early days of the Monday Night Wars. Sadly there isn't competition around that is capable of giving the WWE a run for their money this time around.

You shouldn't be sad, you should be pumped we are getting some good TV, rather than the bloated hours of nothingness we get from the WWE these days. Wrestlemania was pretty good this year, and the Raw afterwards was really good, but then they floundered around until the summer. SummerSlam was really good, and then they've floundered around aimlessly since then. There have been a few bright spots this year, and they have lots of talent, but man it just feels like they have too many hours to fill and not enough show to fill them with. It's boring and a chore to watch.

Kevin Dunn isn't even a booker. When people start talking crap about Kevin Dunn, can they at least learn what he does before sh**ing. I'm not defending him, but it's tiring when people claim he's the booker or a writer. He's the head of production and a member of the board directors and a bigger ass kisser than even John Laurinatis is. Again, he's not a part of the writing team or anywhere near creative.

Whatever team writes for NXT, should be giving the main roster programming for a week. I usually find only one or two bad NXT episodes every now and then, while main roster it's bound to be at least one show a week. Just to see if it makes a difference having a completely different team handle things.

I consider myself to be pretty optimistic, but the last several weeks have been pretty darn weak.

I completely agree, I feel like at this point I watch just out of the 1% slim chance that something exciting will happen eventually since that is what I was used to as a kid. But every week I find myself more and more disappointed. The last Raw that had any excitement for me was the Ambrose/Rollins main event, and that was mostly because it was exciting seeing arguably the hottest feud WWE had in the proper spot. As I said in the Raw thread I think Im gonna start skipping the first hour of Raw and watch Gotham until WWE does something to bring back my attention. Stop promoting the network for 9.99 and concern yourselves with bringing excitement back to your show. Its like they're trying to live off the past with the network and have totally given up caring about the present and future. I don't think that they realize that if people arent signing up for the network, at the cheap price that it is to get an almost endless amount of content along with monthly PPV, then they probably never will.

Kevin Dunn Basicly has the same Job Eric Bischoff had in WCW, although he has less say since Vince and the rest of the McMahon family play a bigger part in WWE than Ted Turner did in WCW. Kevin Dunn is in charge of what goes on TV, edits and production. He isn't a booker but if the bookers or creative writer do an angle or a gimmick and Kevin Dunn doesn't want it on TV or wants to tweek it he can.
Haven't watched Raw yet but I'll assume its not worth pausing if I need to go and take a dump...

I like that we get good matches on TV somewhat regularly now, but the whole direction of the product and how bloated every RAW seems to be is just off putting to me. I've been a rasslin fan my whole life, but it's kind of painful for me to sit through a lot of stuff now. SummerSlam was a fun show with two great matches at the top of the card, but that comes after three straight big events that were awful. The product is more miss than hit these days and it's sad.
Granted, there are good alternatives out there and that's what I seek out now, it's just sad that the WWE has the most talented roster it's had since 2003 and ironically, the developmental product is still better than what's being put on TV.
