Jakks released enough Classic Supstars to keep me happy for years getting them off of ebay, amazon, etc.

Preference leaning towards Mattel aside, Jakks still has so much to offer. I really like their stuff. I will collect TTL and Ruthless figures whenever the money isn't tight. Even have some BCA's I've picked up recently. I just loves me some wrasslin' toys.

Mattel rules. Jakks is just Jakks. It depends upon what figures you want. If you like current WWE roster guys then yes, Mattel rules. If you like 80's and maybe early 90's guys, don't even bother looking at mattel since they will never make them. I can't see Mattel ever making an NWA Harley Race, Don Muraco, Greg Valentine, etc. Jakks is the way to go for Classics. |

Both have pros and cons. My collection is a hodge-podge of both. For guys like Steamboat, Savage, Wyatt, the Shield, Sandow... obviously, they are Mattels. Folks like Virgil, Bagwell, Mark Jindrak, Orlando Jordan, Umaga... they are obviously Jakks... and then, I tend to pick whichever company I think did a better job on the particular figure. Mattel is doing an excellent job lately, though.. I find myself replacing a lot more Jakks figures with the Mattel counterparts.
I doubt that Mattel will ever make all the characters Jakks did... and Jakks can't make the characters that Mattel has made since then.. so a combined line is really the only way to collect for me!
