Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter , Wrestling INCThere's been a lot of speculation lately about Steve Austin possibly working with WWE again as they plugged his podcast on RAW and reportedly ordered production to begin on several Austin t-shirts. To be more specific, WWE actually told their distributors to go into heavy production of Austin merchandise. This is seen as a sign that Austin could be back on WWE TV in some form or there will be at least a renewed push of his merchandise. The story remains that Austin is open to returning if the money and creative plan is right. |

Austin seems pretty busy with his CMT shows, and very content with his schedule and the life he's currently living. I could be completely wrong, but I just don't see him coming back for much more than a one-off appearance now and again.
Austin is also now almost exclusively using the WWE Network to promote his "Match of the Week" segment on his podcast (he had previously been using YouTube.) Again, I could be off-base here, but I sort of figured that WWE plugged his show knowing that he's mentioning the Network frequently in a somewhat organic fashion.

I love Austin. He could come back and beat the entire roster one by one and I would be cool with it. So I'm ready for anything.

Soooo Brock returns for a part time role and people crap on it. The Rock returns for a part time role and people crap on it. Hulk Hogan returns for a part time role and people crap on it. Stone Cold might return for a part time role and it's the greatest thing to ever happen. Ooooook. I like Austin just as much as anyone. But to just be another part timer? Nah.
