To be fair, most of Foley's matches consisted of the same formula. Really didn't matter who his opponent was. But that is most likely due to Foley's limitations than it is someone trying to copy the Rock/Mankind match. Really? That I know of there are only two wwe matches in which Mick Foley ends up with his hands cuffed behind his back. One is RR 1999 against Rock, and the other was exactly one year later at the same ppv RR 2000 against HHH. True most of Foley's matches follow the same formula but there are certain spots which are symbolic of a ppv. Mick was hand cuffed for the first time in a wwe match against the Rock at RR 1999. One year later, prob due to Nepotism and HHH Ego the spot was duplicated at RR 2000. Then another famous Mick Foley spot is when Undertaker threw him off of the Cell and then Through the Cell roof. Again, due to Nepotism and HHH ego these spots were stolen/mimicked/imitated by HHH at the Hell in a Cell match with Mick Foley at the No way out ppv of 2000. At No Way out 2000 again HHH stole someone's match as he threw Foley off of the side of the Cell, and then later drove Foley through the top of the cell down onto the ring below. You say there is a formula to his matches, and I agree, but you have to admit it's too much of a coincidence that HHH would be the one guy to repeat some memorable spots with Mick. Mick had already been cuffed, and thrown off of a Cell so im sure these spots were all an idea to try and get HHH over as a main event guy. Foley said many times those two matches with HHH were done because that's how he wanted to be remembered going out. Not teaming with Al Snow as Mankind. He wanted to be remembered as Cactus Jack.

Here is a pic from ECW... As for Foley being cuffed and falling through the Cell, there's no way to know for sure if that was Triple H's nepotism of if it's simply the booking of the time. It's not unheard of for WWE to reuse something that worked before. And as I said, it's a formula Foley had used a couple of times to great success and he was obviously comfortable with both spots. I don't subscribe to the Triple H is an evil mastermind with a giant ego theory. All accounts I've heard from people inside the business is that he's a true professional who's always willing to learn. I've also personally talked to a former WWE employee who praised how good Triple H was and how great of a person he was to work with. I'm more likely to listen to those inside the inner circle than to those who assume. And by that I don't mean you specifically, but the internet in general.

It's really thin, which makes it in scale with all the other Mattels which is what makes it great, never mind that cactus was a 300 plus pounder, thinner is better.

Im just saying his two famous ppv matches where cuffs were involved were one right after the other. They obviously learned from their mistakes too because if you notice at RR 1999 Foley was cuffed with regular cuffs. Then in 2000 they used cuffs with a very long chain so that he could keep his hands at his sides. I've seen shoot interviews where guys speak well of Vince and HHH. And I've seen shoot interviews where people speak poorly of Vince and HHH. I don't work there so I couldnt tell you how they are as bosses/coworkers. I just go by what I see. It isnt just wwe, EVERY pro wrestling company has had lots of nepotism. Look at all the old school promotions, who ever the champion was, that's who the owner was or the owner's kid. So it's easy for me to jump to the conclusion that everything HHH and Vince do falls in place with the old school mentality. That being that The owner/Owners son in law/Owners family are going to be the top guys/girls in the promotion. I point to Stephanie as the prime example of Nepotism. She can't wrestle yet she's been featured on many ppvs. She's even held the womens title in the past. I also can not stand her on the mic. Her voice doesnt seem fem to me, it's border line a man's voice to me. So the way I see it her skills did not get her such a good spot in wwe. She has a good spot because she is the bosses daughter. This alone tells me Nepotism is alive and well in wwe.

I don't pretend to and I don't believe everything I see on a dirt sheet.

All the stunts pulled was Foleys idea, like said before he wanted to go out with a bang.

Hence why they called it a retirement match. And he's gone on record to say that he wasn't happy that they called him to wrestle a month later to wrestle at WM. And that he regretted accepting it. Sure he has wrestled since, but only a few sporadic matches here and there but never as a full time wrestler.

Foley could have volunteered to put anyone over but WWE stuck HHH in the opposite corner.

I have to agree. I didn't purchase one and never really had the urge to.

Since then he has had numerous matches in multiple promotions. So I said Decades because that means more than one decade. You have the 2000s and the 2010s

Why has this thread turned into classic wrestling? This is about the figure, not Foley's career, or HHH's ego. Anyway, getting back to the topic at hand, I didn't know it was based on the RR 2000 match. In that case, the accessories make sense, but it still suffers from the lack of barbed wire-based items and it's still too slim. Also, as far as Mattel saying that a barb wire bat, was off limits due to kiddies goes, that begs the question... why would anybody buy their young kid a Cactus Jack figure in the first place... and why would they want one to begin with? Kids do not know who Cactus Jack is - at least they shouldn't.

Only match I can think of that he's had in the last 4 years was the Royal Rumble. But, I allow it.

I personally like it way more than the Jakks figure. My only complaint would probably be the skinniness of his legs. Besides that, though, it's the perfect Cactus Jack.

I love the fig, the head is spot on, and great sculpt on the hair. The shirt fits nicely and the scar is a cool touch. The accessories are meh to me but they are match specific. I'd have preferred two taped hands and the flannel vest, but those can be added. What is crazy to me is that we still have the Jakks vs. Mattel debates all this time later, to me that case has been closed, and it isn't even close.

Is this even based on RR 2000? Where did that come from? The bio on the back of the box references No Way Out 2000 - no mention of RR 2000. As others stated, Foley knew he was going out and wanted to go out with a bang. So he used many of the same spots that got him to the top. Triple H feud was his last and one of his best. Probably mentioned on the back because it was the match that ended his career. We assume its RR2000 because he doesn't have the wrist tape and flannel on like he did at No Way Out. Also the accessories matches up better with RR2000.
