Great stuff Naptown, thanks for the update, I'd love to see closeups of that Sonya. Is it a custom, she looks killer. Still looking for that 4 pack Smoke, and (Deception?)Reptile. Love that Goro too. The GI Joe style MK figures fit in really well with the Jazwares line, that Kollection is awesome. All you really need is that Shao Kahn playset and you're good to go. Really makes me wish they had done the Cyborgs in 6 inch scale. Sonya is a custom! Searching through old emails, it looks like I paid $23 shipped for it back in April 2009. I'll be sure to include better pictures of it when I redo my images. I remember I also had a Johnny Cage in a tuxedo but I sold it probably not soon after receiving it (wasn't a fan). The Jazwares Goro may be my favorite figure. They made two versions. One was exclusive to Toy Rocket and the other was mass released (though I only found it at Toys R Us). Can you believe those things retailed at $5.99-6.99? In thinking about the gaps I want to fill, the cyborgs and are important. But where the hell is a 6" Shang Tsung? I would prefer a version of him from one of the first 2 videogames, but I suppose MK3 Tsung is just as important

Very good price for that. I had seen a pretty good one on Ebay for about 200 bucks which is crazy, but it is VERY nice. I would never pay that for a single figure.
I bet, I knew about the ToyRocket version but didn't know it was sold at retail too. That is an awesome price to get that for. Is there any big differences between the two??
Oh yeah, there's a ton of guys they could have done by now, Shang Tsung would be great to have. Sindel, Shiva, Ermac, Kabal, Sonya, etc. I'd like the early video game version of him too.

**UPDATES!!**Check it out! -I found a decent deal on Kano, Nightwolf, and Liu Kang. Also purchased Kitana. -My goal is to get everyone from Mortal Kombat 1-3 and a couple from MK4. -I repainted Kano into his Mortal Kombat 1 attire. I was thinking of repainting a Liu Kang to plain black pants to model his MK1 attire as well if I get another. -I have 2 Johnny Cage and 2 Raiden figures on the way. I will be repainting one of each into their Player 2 attires from MK2. -Factory figures I still need loose: Jax, Shao Khan, Reptile (MK 4 style), Noob, Quan Chi After all that, I think really Shang Tsung and another Sonya Blade is all I'll need. Hows everyone else's Kwest coming?

Hows everyone else's Kwest coming? That's definitely a badass looking Kano, I love that repaint. It makes him look a ton better! The last few figures I need are that Smoke you've got pictured and that Mezco Raiden. He's shelf warming over here and I could find him relatively cheap on Amazon. I was just able to buy the Shaolin Monks Reptile that had been eluding me for so long thanks to DarkHawk on ebay. So once that ships I'll take a updated group photo of all my badguys. If I was ever able to find that Goro I'd pull the trigger on Kotal Kahn bit I'm pretty content on passing on him for now. So yeah, the next guy I plan on getting is Smoke but it's gonna be extremely hard to find JUST him out of the box. If I find the Grey Version of Noob for a decent price I'd probably pick him up just because it seems right to get him. It's not a must have though.

So this is where my Sonya Blade came from And this video is less than a year old. It was from Comic Con and the project manager says they were working on series 3 but it has yet to be finalized. This, and the 3.75" line is why I believe the line is continuing.

Prepare to have your heart broken by all that could have been. I give you the 2012 Toy FairAhh man, Broken heart is the perfect word for this, Just to see Sonya and Ermac possiblly had figures sculpted is hard to see. But luckily my heart has been restored thanks to DarkHawk, Just got this guy in my Mail Box Just too freaking cool man, I love it. Thanks again DarkHawk, you're the man. Group Shot 'Straight Outta OutWorld!! They've been here for years, been stomping my peers, killin' mofo's with Spears' LOL. Just a little happy right now God, if I could get Goro for a decent price I would. Gotta find that Smoke before I get Raiden too. So stoked to finally add this to my Kollection, but the kwest kontinues!

Is Mezco allowed to make figures of the DLC Guest Characters in MKX? I would love to see them make a cloaked Predator in their MKX line which would have more articulation and affordable than the McFarlane or NECA Predators.

I don't think so with Neca owning the licence to that line. Now that you mentioned MacFarlane I was thinking about getting the Movie Maniacs Predator, Krueger, Leatherface, and Jason. I've seen them decently priced on ebay and I think they'd fit in better than NECA figures would scale wise. They're limited in the articulation department but their good spot fillers.

Got Smoke in the mail already. Thinking about picking up Raiden later in the week. Really happy with it. I'll put up pictures when I finally get Raiden. Might just Cave and get Kotal too so I don't regret it and his price goes up later down the line. Then just waiting on Storm Collectibles Goro to be released.

I made two in case anyone is interested. I may modify the shin guard colors (to white, as he was in MK2) and black forearm pads (also was the case in MK2). What are your thoughts?

So is it 100% confirmed that Mezco is done with these? I wanna jump on these figures, but I'm just getting tired of never having a company give us a truly encompassing and deep line for the property. I had high hopes Mezco would give us another shot at some of the Jazwares figures that skyrocketed to ungodly prices. All of which i USED to have. Imagine my horror when i see the Goro i bought gor five bucks at TRU a decade ago ,selling for almost 200 bucks...lol. Anyway, i really hope that Mezco is at least in a position to give us another wave before calling it a day.

The Naptown Icon had a few of them, thereby here I present you, Johnny Cage from Argentina!! Yes, I know that the figure it´s pretty beat up but to be honest, it is to be expected...two days ago this figure is turned 22 years old!! Let me tell you a little bit of the backstory about these figures, since a lot of factors came into play for the creation of them. In 1994, was put in the air a program about Video Games called Top Kids, being it one of the first to be about games in South America but the thing was this, Nintendo wanted to break into the Argentinean market and partnered with them, backing them up finantially, with games and official licenses and believe it or not, the game that they were using to push the SNES here was Mortal Kombat, instead of Mario, because of its success on the Arcades. The show in itself was similar to the old TV Show, Video Power, because it was a hit with the audience the creators partnered with a publishing company to put together a magazine to accompany it. This magazine became a sort of informercial for not only the TV show, but also for their toy company, Jocsa, and their wishes to break into the Anime market (remember, it was the mid 90s). Not knowing a thing about games, the publishers wanted something to hang on to, and they decided to keep on with the Mortal Kombat theme that the TV show had and they proposed a deal to Jocsa, they were going to publish the magazine, advertising their other toy lines, TV show and Anime merchandise, in exchange of them producing a line of Mortal Kombat toys. The company agreed and adquired an official license by Midway, and used old molds and parts that were used with a Rambo line that they released in the past. This Johnny Cage one, is the first of the 22 Mortal Kombat figures they released, along with Glacius of Killer Instinct. Anyways, sorry for the letter, but I wanted to share this with you guys. I managed to buy this figure on a flea market for around 10 dollars, I also found that day a Liu Kang and a Kano one (but the seller wanted a too much money for them). These kind of figures pop up regularly over here and they are more or less in the 20-25 dollars range just to give you an idea. I also have some of the aforementioned magazines:

I like it, thanks for sharing.
