Like others, my first instinct was that this is not the real scan Gangrel head, much as I wish it was. From what I can see, the profile shape of his right cheek looks very different to the realscan one. Still with only one known photo of the realscan Gangrel figure, it is hard to say for sure. A really good paintjob can do wonders for an imperfect sculpt.
Either way it's an interesting piece and I applaud your decision to cast it and help make it available to more collectors/customizers. I've always said if I ever managed to find an unreleased head I would be determined to cast it and not just hoard it. Sadly I've never found one though.
Wez could you possibly take a few pics of the head from the same kind of angle as the Toyfair photo?

Thanks Wez. From those pics I think it's pretty obvious it's not the realscan head. The cheek profile, nose, mouth and chin outline all look quite different.
Shame though, since Jakks didn't make him in CS and it seems Mattel is taking the same defeatist attitude. I know White Wolf owns the rights to the character, but WWE has licensed it many many times, so it's clearly just WWE not wanting to pay out, or Mattel not having the balls to push for it.

That's a shame it isn't the real scan, and that was my first thought upon seeing it before reading all the comments. It just looks too similar to the sculpted one which is what flagged it for me.
However, I think we can agree, that by a shortened tongue, less angular cheeks and more defined hair, it is WAAAY better than the final released headsculpt.
