Stone Cold Steve Austin revealed on his podcast that he has no desire to ever wrestle again. There were recent reports that he was preparing for a “comeback”, which was actually a comeback to Gold’s Gym. He said he doesn’t desire to take bumps and has no time in his schedule to train for one more match. He added that he has a project in February that he can’t talk about, which means he probably won’t return for WrestleMania 31. That doesn't rule out a potential return at WrestleMania 32 though.
However, he did say that if he ever came back, he has no doubt he could “whoop Brock Lesnar’s ass.”
For what it's worth, many people within WWE think we'll see him back sooner rather than later.

He can't make up his mind. His podcasts with Tommy Dreamer, Mick Foley, and Collin , he said if the money is right, and the build up is right, I'd come back. One week later he's back to saying he's done?

File this under "I don't care." Austin can continue his silly reality shows and his decent podcasts. I don't want him back in a wrestling ring. Not for one more match. Not for one more run. Not for one more "what". Not at all. Adios Austin. You were great but stay away.

I can't blame him, he would probably only return if he won the match and I don't want that.

I don't believe Stone Cold would out right say "I'm training to come wrestle another match in the WWE" either..
I'm not saying any of what's been going around is true, but Austin is not confirming jack sh*t.. He's smarter than that.

I'm convinced he's just trying to get attention now. He can only flip flop so many times before people stop listening/caring.

Honestly, I think it's a case of people over analyzing everything he says. Also, why would he want to spoil a possible comeback. I feel that he will comeback for another match at a Mania. Most likely 32, but that's just my opinion. Kind of like how dirt sheets are.

Ticket sales for whatever show he decides to come back for ( most likely WM), would go through the roof. I'm sure they would outsell the past 5 WM's, that's for sure. Austin is still a household name, and for so wine that has appeared maybe 10-15 times in the past 10 years says a lot.

I wouldn't be so sure about them outselling the Rock/Cena WrestleManias (depending on venue etc of course). Austin's comeback likely won't be as big as Rock vs Cena, because even if Austin faces Cena, the novelty of Cena vs Attitude Era Top Guy has been done. Austin vs Brock might be a match that tops Rock vs Cena, but I wouldn't want to be Austin's neck in that match.

Austin is still a household name, and for so wine that has appeared maybe 10-15 times in the past 10 years says a lot. To keep it simple, attaching Steve Austin to the marquee of WrestleMania would draw no matter who he faces. Add the fact that WrestleMania XXXII is rumored to be taking place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, the WWE would have no problems selling out if people see Austin's name on the card. If Steve Austin does decide to come back for one match, I don't think many would care. He has been dangling that proverbial carrot for too long now. You're lying to yourself if you truly believe that.. I will care if Austin does come back for one final match. Like many, Austin is a big part of out childhood. Watching Austin in WCW is one of my earlier memories of being a wrestling fan. I disagree. Ticket sales for whatever show he decides to come back for ( most likely WM), would go through the roof. I'm sure they would outsell the past 5 WM's, that's for sure. Austin is still a household name, and for so wine that has appeared maybe 10-15 times in the past 10 years says a lot. Austin vs Brock might be a match that tops Rock vs Cena, but I wouldn't want to be Austin's neck in that match. Austin & John Cena would not be a good match. The disconnect will be apparent early in the match if it were to take place. Austin's comeback would be just as big as The Rock's. Why? We haven't seen Austin wrestle since March 30th, 2003. The thing is, Austin needs to be in a program where he can feed off his opponent.

If he was going to have a last match, it should have been within 5 or 6 years of retirement, not 11 or 12.

If anything this sounds like a Jericho move.

Anyone who says Austin's come back would be bigger than Rock's is delusional. Rock is bigger than Austin ever has or will be. And I hate Rock, and love Austin.

Yea, what about the recent rumors that WWE was ramping up production on Stone Cold merch?
Hoping this is a red herring and Austin really is gearing up for some sort of comeback - he's too talented to continue to sit on the sidelines....
I'm getting tired of waiting for all these comebacks, though..... I don't know who will have the longer, most drawn out "He's Coming Back" rumor mill - Sting, or Stone Cold....

I've said it before & I'll say it again: if he ever wrestles again, it would be at WM in Dallas. Not WM31 in Santa Clara, not WM33, wherever it is. It's this show or its never happening. WM31 will be Sting's time to shine. Austin isn't taking a backseat to anyone.
