Whats everyone's thoughts fron tonights Network Special?
I feel they were totally full of crap when they said they didn't keep in contact with Nash and Hall during the Monday Night Wars.

I feel like WWE skipped A TON of content during the DX run. That's the only thing that bugged me.

I just watched it and I enjoyed it. Very good watch. I especially like what Triple H said at the end to all the fans.

He just thanked the fans and said without them they wouldn't be where they are today. He said they are also fans of pro wrestling, cause in their opinion it's the best form of entertainment. And if they weren't on stage they'd be sitting in the crowd watching someone else up there. You could tell he legitimately meant it.

Kinda sad yet expected that Shawn "didn't remember" so many things from that period in his life. To be honest I expected them to completely gloss over his drug abuse and bad attitude, so I was kinda surprised Triple H mentioned it at all.

He discusses how much of a bad place he was in on the Hart/Michaels DVD.

A few if my favorite highlights were:
Billy Gunn and Road Dogg going into the WCW Nitro invadion angle unknowing. Billy Gunn -" Whats with the helmets?" HHH- " I can't tell you yet, but its gunna be awesome" I couldn't imagine rolling down the street not knowing what they are doing, then finding out its a invasion on the conpetition.
Also, the WM14 battery incedent. I didn't know any of that went down. I remember watching HBK storm out of the ring i had no clue he was hit in the head with a battery. I liked how Tyson asked HhH if Shawn would be back, and HhH said when Austin comes out, so will Shawn. The professionalism that he had, although he was a crazed man, is comendable after being pelted with a battery, i would have called it a night.
Of course, Cole asking " Where did Suck It originate from?" Hahah Shawn and HHH's reaction was priceless. Shawn-" I see he never had the talk. I guess nows a better time then any..." HHH-" You see Cole, when a man and a woman love eachothet very much....." I've never seen Cole so embarassed.

I love how organic it feels when DX naturally embarrasses Cole all the time.

Hearing Shawn talk sometimes is uncomfortable. He's really punchy. I don't know if it's from years of drug abuse, concussions or what...

Umm well you know ummm you know ummm I think a lot of that has to do with him being embarrassed of his past and genuinely not wanting to talk about it. I know he remembers more than he lets on. Unfortunately for him, we live in an age where he can watch his past for just $9.99 a month. I don't think he has anything to be ashamed of honestly. Sure he was a prick and a pill popper but he came out on top of the entire situation and had 8 years of redemption. Plus, his stuff from that time period was absolutely amazing imo. I understand why he's ashamed or uncomfortable or whatever, but he's a different guy now despite all of that stuff. He even said himself at the end that he learned from all of those mistakes and he wouldn't change anything because he's so happy with where he's at now. It came as no surprise to me that Shawn hadn't seen the State of the Union address for years though. He seems like he avoids that era of his life like the plague. I do think the interview stuff was really poorly edited. I guess that was for time but the transitions were pretty bad imo. I thought HHH was pretty relaxed and candid, which was great. They need to put all those 97 episodes of Raw up on the Network though.
