It really depends on what torso it is. If it's a newer RA torso, it's gonna be trouble because as some people have said, it seems that JAKKS is trying to keep the torsos sealed as tightly as possible.
For me, I always pop off the head and get a flathead screwdriver right in the arm hole and push back.

I haven't tried this, but I had a sudden thought... You might want to try some sort of anti-adhesive, like "Goo-gone" or maybe some kind of alcahol or acitone based product... maybe even nail polish remover might help, something to eat away at that glue. Maybe somebody else knows a good product like that to use.

It'll discolor the torso though, so if you decide to use it, you'll have to repaint the skin on the torso.

Good call dude, that is right on, the acetone will eat away any paint or decals on the plastic. I'm not sure on this but I imagine if you left it for really long periods of time it might weaken the plastic. And I just checked my info on the net and got this: "I have yet to find a glue that lighter fluid will not dissolve. It even dissolves Crazy Glue. " www.ehow.com/how_2705_remove-glue-carpet.html "Acetone or an oily nail polish remover can be used to dissolve glue." www.diynot.com/pages/st/st027.phpSo have at it, comrade. Thanks again to AF for helping me not look like an idiot.

Ianarchy -- Dude, 'tis cool. I forgot lighter fluid even does that! Cooga -- groups.msn.com/cosmicspideycustoms/splittingratorsos.msnwThis was in the Custom Support FAQ. I've never split a torso before, so I can't really give you pointers on that. But as Ianarchy has said, try nail polish remover, acetone (beware!) or lighter fluid. *edited*.

Yeah man you can easily do that, we were just trying to give you ways of getting the torso apart without destroying the lower legs. If you don't care about using those legs any more than just snap it. Still be careful because the lower body peg is often stronger than the uper body shell. Cooga - yeah man, I hope it works out. If AF backs it up it must be good. Hahaha. Let us know how it turns out!
