I was just simply asking if they're going the Y2J route starting him out. Nope, very different to Jericho's early WWE career. Itami's start: Report to NXT, feud with other guys in development. Jericho's start: Interrupting a top guy promo on Raw.

Man clearly I'm not speaking from a kayfabe standpoint You don't seem to be speaking from any standpoint. Chris Jericho went straight to the main show to work with big names in a spot he wasn't ready for, then got punished for sucking, being arrogant and rubbing people up the wrong way backstage. He used it as a learning process and was quickly back en route to the top. Itami has gone to developmental to work with guys that nobody has heard of so he can learn/adjust, and has thus far had zero reports of making any backstage enemies or being punished or demoted at all. You're clutching at straws drawing any comparison between them.

Maybe by me being direct by naming Jericho by name as an example has thrown you off. I wasn't comparing the two specifically. But you can't sit there and say that Vince doesn't strip guys down to shape them in his mold if they weren't manufactured by him to begin with. With Jericho's antics backstage notwithstanding, the entire point of me asking was that and only that. Sorry if by using examples to make it easier to understand has made things difficult. Wasn't my intention. That's all man. I just wondered. But you've clearly answered the question.

I think his booking is fine. The Ascension were a team that were Tag Champs for almost a full year and had crushed everyone in their paths. When Itami gets his hands on one of them seperate from the other, he takes the fighy to them. It's when the numbers game comes into play that he gets beaten down. It makes Ascension still look dangerous, garners Itami some sympathy while still making the fans believe that he's a total badass for not backing down. If you have a problem with the booking then maybe you haven't paid close enough attention to other singles face vs tag team heel feuds.

Itami has done nothing for me so far. As far as I'm concerned he should sit in NXT for a year or two. Learn English. And WWE style of wrestling. Absolutley no feelings on his partner next week either. I am yet to even see his face on a WWE program , yet people are already sucking his ass. Just like they did to KENTA who has been underwhelming to say the least. If you have absolutely no feelings on him then don't talk about him. Your bait work is commendable but lame as Ryback sucks.

I don't really think there is anything wrong with how he is being booked. Is he getting his ass handed to him? Yes. But, he does keep coming back for more. He is rushing the ring to take on the most dominate team NXT has seen. He's showing he doesn't afraid of anything.
